Exit 4? Never heard that one before when using MRT that’s why the ladyguard got confused with you. It’s always best to tell them where you are heading instead since the exits will only take you either to the left or right side of EDSA road. Also, please carry smaller bills for small businesses and transpo specially early in the day. Them changing your large bill will just cause them inconvenience scrambling for change to other customers.
She showed me directon of Exit 4, maybe she was confused why I don't tell where I'm going.. but it was long day and I had no idea myself.. Yeah I try to have small bills, but it also runs out quite quickly and usually in most shops if you give them 1000 they will ask if you have smaller notes..

It sorta sucks because the working and middle classes here have to deal with all this bs on a daily basis. Which makes most people grouchy lol. Service, maintenance and upgrading stations and trains aren’t a thing here mostly. Living in southern Metro Manila, I've never been to the northern district, particularly Shaw, assuming it's just corporate entities and the usuals, but I could be wrong. Various townships were built as a respite from the metro's wild chaos, and BGC is an interesting perspective of the city. It's worth spending a visit there before heading to the beaches. There are affordable dining options in BGC, and Food District on 5th Ave. offers good meals. The kiosks at Market Market are of mediocre quality.

Exit numbers are actually really helpful. If you follow maps you will know them, haha. Really handy to use them in foreign country, because when I had right exit, I also had right direction right away. I guess it's not so common here as I didn't notice any signage neither, but on google maps it was listed and guard also knew where it was.
Actually, only the LRT Line 1 employs such exit numbering system with corresponding signages. While the other lines namely LRT Line 2 and MRT Line 3, does not use such system. But for LRT Line 2, however, it always have 2 exits namely North Entrance and South Entrance that are clearly written in signages.

MRT 3 is confusing to the First time riding this Line. No good signages. Very dark stations, not clean looking. Also MRT3 is ugly. Not modernized even though it is located in Capital Region of the country.
I see. It would be cheaper to take a taxi, which would only cost around 55-60 pesos. However, transport terminals are often filled with taxi drivers who overcharge. Even as a local, I’ve personally experienced this in the same exact terminal. While Grab is usually twice or sometimes three times the price of the taxi meter, it’s safer. Although sometimes I prefer taking a taxi if I’m not coming from a transport terminal or the airport, I always make sure to use the taxi meter if the driver asks for a fixed price, and I use the Waze app for real-time road directions. But for nighttime, I would still prefer booking a Grab.
@Kevin-Travels yeah, always go to the tricycle terminals only or queuing, for better pricing, riding a tricycle usually costs 10 to 50 or sometimes 70 if special ride.

Man how long you stay here in ph people here are so friendly and happy they can talk English
I will stay about 1 month more, then explore around some other places and then come back to Philippines later.
@Kevin-Travels that's good man appreciate it 😊
@@LloydTaray-bt7ho My pleasure 😊
the straw is not strawing 😂
Hahaha, thats funny 🤣
welcome to the urban jungle of Manila...
Haha, thanks for welcome 😁
take care always when you walk you cn walk ang use jeep tricycle vcan charge you more😂
Yeah it was just short walk so not too bad, only annoying thing was my 20kg luggage haha😀😀
Well if you ride the train at 6 am till 8 am in the morning really busy. Then 4:30 to 8:00 in the evening.
So remember to ride at 9 am to 3 pm then it's not.
Yeah, i think i was there around 2:30 so.. maybe not extremely busy yet, but felt already so busy for me😆😆😅
@Kevin-Travels ah ok I was thinking of the LRT 1 not MRT 3. Yeah MRT 3 tend to be busy all the time because of the 3 busiest commercial areas Ortigas and Makati and North Edsa.
@@Siopaoko Oh okay LRT 😊
Try light rail transit next
From what station😊
@@Kevin-Travels if you're from MRT 3 Shaw stn take Cubao stn then transfer to LRT 2 towards west and you'll be in University Belt district and Malacañang Palace in Recto ave. 😂 or going to east LRT2 from Cubao stn then you'll be in Antipolo city our nearest MM mountains Rizal province yeah 😂
@@kilometer6712 Interesting😊should try LRT soon
i know you are smart foreigner...theirs nothing to do in manila actually.try to visit some of the island like boracay or palawan isand.
Well there is always something to see everywhere😁 but i know what you mean
unfortunately signages in mrt stations are not tourist friendly 😅 i agree that exits should be labeled and there should be a map of the locality showing the exits and establishments nearby
Absolutely not, some signage would be helpful indeed!👍🏼😁
It's because Philippines govt or DoT thinks foreign tourirsts won't ride MRTs hahahahh
@@kilometer6712 Fair enough, but it would also help locals who travel from other parts of Philippines. They would benefit from making stations more effective and reducing pointless security screenings over there that cause bottlenecks over there. I felt that's the reason why it was over crowded there.
@@Kevin-Travels yeah caused by only one reason: intelligence, lack or none of it ahhhahahahh
We do not have exit 4 you could have say exactly where are you going
Check the maps, exit 4 is there Shaw Boulevard on gmaps. 😊 Exit system is actually really helpful, I've used it a lot before
USA:be like some times normal music

Thanks for subbing 🥰❤️
She tossed the change maybe because she didn’t like the camera or she’s having a bad day.😅😅😅
Not only to me, I think she just probably works like that. Maybe more efficient/faster I don't know, but kinda looks rough 😅
@@Kevin-Travels nope. it's rude to throw that coins that way. MRT is government transport she must be taught the right manner 😂😂😂 lool she is not a worker in casino 😂
Try to avoid to ride trycicle bro, because some drivers in manila are abusive for price
Yeah some are like this, but some also good. 👍🏼
@@Kevin-Travels stay safe bro and enjoy the Philippines
Keep safe Kevin
I appreciate it🥰🥰
🤙🏼
🤗🤗
i wish you could meet my mom, she's single and gorgeous 😅😅
Lool😁😁😁 I believe she is
Big difference people of baguio and manila,
Yeah there is a contrast surely In Manila have to be more careful😊
hahaha goodluck, hope you get-out of it alive 🙂
😁😁😁rough journey
Do not ride if they offer you... use the app so you are sure of the price.. joyride.
Sometimes it's fine to take the trike, but it's just you want honest driver who is not overly greedy. If he gave me 80P at the beginning I would use his services, but his greed made him lose the ride.😊
Baguio is the best place to stay.
Baguio is special place for sure! 🥰 I definitely go back next time
@@Kevin-Travels don't go there yet coz of parade of typhoons hitting north luzon yeah
@@kilometer6712 yeah... its been under bad weather for a while now..
@@Kevin-Travels yeah maybe November of the year is actually our worst typhoon season either Luzon Visayas or Mindanao region depending where it would go. Hope December is better nah
But maybe july - October it's for Batanes directions hitting Taiwan and China too yeah it's actually the strongest route for early season of typhoons and if you go Batanes you'll see their old stone homes. The way their ancestors had built the houses yeah ive not been there only in pictures that i saw it

The MRT Entrances and Exits are not numbered btw that’s why the lady guard gave you a confused look and asked where you were headed instead.
She showed me direction torwards exit 4, it was confusing for me when she asked where I'm going as I was not sure yet myself. Just followed map with address😅
You can check on gmaps, exits are numbered. But maybe signage is missing.
@@Kevin-Travels I guess Google numbers them but we don’t really use them in real life. That’s why even the staff were confused. I think that’s something that can be improved on the MRT management.
@@Kevin-Travels as I said above we Filipinos don't use signages or instructiions we use mouth for asking directions and sometimes got lost anyway Lool 😂 8:24
haha dont worry even to locals they just drop the coins like idk why they need some serious customer training lol at first i was like did i do something wrong lol but trying other stations yup they like that a bit rude thou hwshha
I mean it's okay I guess if that's their normal way of working😁😁
MRT does not have pick pockets like in UK trains.
Yeah thats good😊feels safe, I was careful though as I don't really know if it's safe
Transportation there is really bad. Confusing and disorganized. 😢😫
Definitely not easiest one😁
❤❤❤❤🇰🇼
🥰🥰🥰❤️
Sir put bag in front when traveling congestion of Manila
Yes, you are right. I am trying to always pay attention around me👍🏼
@Kevin-Travels also learn drop coin modus.. that one used on me before
visit MOA let's eat some bunch of foods.
Yeahh, will be going there😋😋
MRT 3 is confusing to the First time riding this Line. No good signages. Very dark stations, not clean looking. Also MRT3 is ugly. Not modernized even though it is located in Capital Region of the country.
Yes I have to agree, it needs some improvements 👍🏼
Pause in 9:01 . Exit4 on your left. Well, Not a big deal on which way to exit.
What you mean, I dont see the sign
@Gymson
Pause your video on 9:01., on your lower left is number 4, that is the Exit 4.
Hmm okay..😊
I don't think thats exit nr, its just those machines numbered
@@Kevin-Travels
🤔 good point.
There is an EXIT sign above your head and a number 4 on that machine.
EXIT 4. 😁
you should have asked help from that old man he was willing to help you he was trying to help you
In elevator? I think I was good, I just needed to figure out general walking directions on my map 😊 yeah he seemed nice and helpful though
Neepney is 13 pesos and more convenient than motorcycle 150 😂😂
Sounds like a deal👍🏼just hard with luggage a bit
But for nighttime, I would still prefer booking a Grab.
those tricycle only costs 10 to 50 pesos only. Don't fall for those deals.
Yeah, in Mandaluyong where I went to. There it was good, most trikes were honest.👍🏼
@Kevin-Travels yeah, always go to the tricycle terminals only or queuing, for better pricing, riding a tricycle usually costs 10 to 50 or sometimes 70 if special ride.
