Hey Bill..Opinion...First always using Big Mr. Funnel to keep D fuel clean..Draining from water seperator every week..Using Hot Shots Secrets Diesel Concentrate Fuel treatment...Even put a drain plug on Diesel Fuel tank..Cummins/ Powerstroke/Duramax all three owned....
The reason the top feeder seals fail is the oil rail nipple seal failing. Sprays hig h pressure oil directly on top of the injector seal. I always re do all the seals on them. Lube with heavy grease, torque to 100 ft lbs. good to go.
Tried to get the Stanton brand coolant reservoir cap that you recommended many years ago. No longer available. Can you recommend another cap for my 2009 f250 6.4 power stroke? Thanks very much!
I've been searching the web, youtube, and talking to mechanics, and people with 6.0's. Hoping to find the answer in this video but still not my situation. 05 Excursion 6.0, 118,000 miles. Only happens when the weather warms up. Intermittent stall while at a stop light or coming to a stop under braking. It always restarts, not problems there. At lights after a few minutes of idle it begins to idle down, then surge back and repeats itself erratically. Number look good on CTS3. Search continues.
Sounds like a fueling issue. Id be checking fuel tank pick up on up. You can can check fuel pressure all day but that dont tell you flow. Either way id be checking from there up.
