    I use that and back to black but in liquid form. I put it on a rag to apply it. Works pretty good but it won't play well with glass. Good luck with your photo shoot.

    Just die the carpets until you're ready to get a new set of carpets installed. I noticed with my '99 Coupe that after an hour of so of driving the sides of the torque tunnel were VERY warm from the exhaust pipes. On my to-do list is to remove the seats, clean the carpet, remove the carpet and put in a heat insulation kit along with some Frost King Duct Insulation. Another company make a torque tube tunnel heat barrier that goes on the underside. There's also the option of wrapping the exhaust pipes. I was surprised at hot warm/hot the carpt on the sides of the torque tunnel get.

    You might want to look into using Rit dye on the carpet to restore it to black and get rid of the stains. Just be real careful with it.

    Very good! Those carpets won't be that expensive to have installed. Not much material to buy and they are relatively easy for a auto upholster to work with. Get the best material money can buy. It is only going to cost $75 more that cheap carpet material since you don't have that much to cover.

    Enjoyed the Video! I'm wondering if paint thinner would have worked to get the crap off your windshield. Car looks awesome by the way.

    Clean glass always makes a big difference in it self. I wax mine, carful not to get the wax on the rubber or plastic around the window. Car looks great, thanks for the video!!

    I second the Back to Black by Mothers. It’s the only stuff I’ve used and its liquid so no overspray. I hate overspray.

    The Vette is looking very nice, I got some floor mats for about $100 from eBay that cover the floor and tuck under the seat, would cover all that you can see on the floor board.

    Check out VetteNuts for that plastic clip over the wipers. They pretty much have everything. Located in TN. You can find them online @ www.vettenuts.net. My last video I showed the work they did to my C5.

    Try acetone to remove the paint from the windshield. But CAREFUL not to get it on the plastic or any painted surface.

    Carpet has lost its dye and it has what appears to look like sun damage and bleach stains all over it. Either re dye the carpet or replace it. Those are your options. Its not expensive to replace at all.

    Chris... Back to Black by Mothers applied with a cloth or pad

  • @rickwelsh9317
    @rickwelsh9317 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think you’re being a little harsh with the review of Meguiars Plastic Restorer. If applied to a pad or cloth, then wiped on the surface, over spray would be avoided. It can be sprayed, but advisable to tape off areas the spray should not come in contact with. I have not used this product, how do you think it worked on the plastic shroud?

    • @mycorvettelife
      @mycorvettelife  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The arousal product is meant to be sprayed direct to the plastic and leave. No wiping necessary. In fact it dries so fast that you can't wipe it. I won't use it again. You can very easily see the unevenness of the application. I won't go as far as to say it's impossibly to use it effectively, but...it's close. I've heard the gel version that you apply with an applicator pad is much better.

    The cars come a long way since you bought it. Many companies iam sure you know about have precut carpets to fit your car.

    I'd just replace the carpet. Although that isn't a huge priority. I'm trying to debate if I should replace the seats in mine. Although my seats are mint, they have no support at all.
