This is the best explanation of installing fans in the hutches. Thank you for your video! We will definitely be trying this for our pet bunnies. Phoenix, AZ

Glad it was of help! And thank you for stopping by. I just upgraded our system this year to a 100w panel and larger battery but same setup and works great. If you have any questions feel free to reach out

We have since upgraded 2 - 100 watt panels and added a bigger 12v battery car size from Harbor freight and put the fans on light switches and bought some bigger 120mm fans that put out a bunch more air movement and has been a great setup as well

@@HomesteadersOnTheHill I have 3 computer fans running and I have a 12v ceiling camp fan. Just got it installed today. Do you think you will post your new set up at some point?

@@HomesteadersOnTheHill when your battery is fully charged what happens? Is it possible to overcharge it? With batteries at times causing fires I just want to know how it works.

@@newtonfamily7969 , I’m trying to remember this setup but if you have the solar charger on there it will not overcharge the battery but if it is full you cannot use the extra battery power for anything. You would have to attach a second battery in order to continue and build up more battery power. If you tie them together in parallel you capacity increases and voltage stays the same.

This is exactly what I'm about to do today. Any issues after all this time?

No issues. Did upgrade to 100w panels (2) and a larger battery as the Rabbitry has grown. Overall great experience just make sure you are producing more electricity than what you consume to help during the cloudy times. Thanks for stopping by!

How are these working over the last couple summers? Have you had to supplement with ice or anything?
We are hitting 100 degree heat with TN humidity next week. Yuck!

We are in Kentucky and also very hot currently. The system works great but since this video I’ve upgraded to 200w panel and 120mm fans. So far we haven’t done ice but typically we throw some bottled frozen juice bottles in for them to rest on and the fam air to blow on them. None have died bc of heat and our males have not gone sterile due to it either so overall works great. I will have to make an update video to show new setup. Thanks for stopping by
