@@Jarock316 Belgar went down the dark path of his own volition BEFORE being possessed by the echoes and Thanatos. He deemed the risk to be justified if it would let him resurrect the innocent, the naivety of altruism. Pitiable, but not quite the same as what happened to Loki.
I played this game not a long time after DQ XI, and I chose Kevin as my main character. I really thought someone copied on another since the two games are so much similar, even with the final boss.
I actually think he was the most intriguing. He remained a mystery for the most part of the game - he is less mentioned than the Dragon Emperor and Dark Prince. He was also a playable character in Heroes of Mana and has an interesting story that tells how he succumbed to dark magic. Far from least interesting IMO.
that's true :) Riesz/Hawkeye endgame was the hardest path in the Original and i assume this is also the case in the remake? only wrecked Mondodragon so far because i picked Angie for my first game
Remake is good. But onced again way to easy. Theres Not a Single Challenge. Hard Mode is a joke. I Miss the times where you Really have to Fight for a win.

@@DecimatedSoul you can play as your other two companions as well, so if you pick Kevin as your main and have Duran and Angela in your party, you can switch between them.

For those new to the Mana series, the Dark Lich returns several times and is one of the final bosses in the story line.
Sounded like the VA for this guy was Frank Welker. After seeing the credits, not so. Best main villain voice of the 3 IMO.
I like his voice too.
This game was good for the most part. The amount of loading screens and talking to npcs for quests was way too repetitive though

I played this right after DQXI as well! DQXI is definitely the much greater game
