At the 45th Annual Daytime Emmys, Days of our Lives iconic couple, Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes (Doug and Julie Williams) were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Michael Fairman produced this tribute that was seen during the ceremony honoring the duo with special appearances by their castmates past and present: Deidre Hall, Kristian Alfonso, Denise Alexander, Tracey E. Bregman, Robert Clary, Suzanne Rogers, and Lamon Archey.

Oh my gosh that had me in tears! 1980s childhood memories of days off school in New Zealand watching DooL. I haven't seen the show in probably 20 years but Doug and Julie and Bo and Hope were always my faves and Friends and Lovers is still one of my all time favourite love songs.
What a trip down memory lane. A superb couple. Condolences to the Hayes family who lost Bill last month. Thanks for it all Bill Hayes!

What a long life and long marriage. Watched Doug and Julie get married in 1976 on the show with my grandmother. We both adored the show and the cast of characters. Loved to love and get frustrated with Julie (the character) but couldn't turn away from her, the love this couple had and the often cheesiness of it. Rest in peace Bill Hayes. Glad to have gotten to enjoy your talent.

Oh how I hope I live long enough to see Days make its earlier shows available like B&B has. This is pure magic! Natalie Cole’s Inseparable is the Cherry on top! My mom gets teary eyed when she hears it, so I know it holds something special from her past.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Bill and Susan playing Doug and Julie. It would be a nice callback to those early years to see Susan Martin return for a visit -- played by Denise Alexander!

At least Denise Alexander is still alive and I hope she will also become a nonagenarian and live through the 2030s decade so that we can still have a surviving cast member from the earlier part of this show. This is also because she first appeared on this show before Bill Hayes did.
