R.I.P. to MacDonald Carey, Frances Reid, Edward Mallory, Lanna Saunders, John Clarke, John Lupton, Richard Guthrie, and now Bill Hayes. We'll be loving you all... always 🙏 🕊
This is exactly what is missing from soaps of today and had led to their demise! If they only understood what is unique about soaps that is not found in any other form of entertainment! This was beautiful! The Days I remember!
I will always remember Doug from days of our lives Bill Hayes. I’ve been watching days of our lives since I was 17 and I will be 60 in two weeks at sad news because they were my favorite couple of days besides Bo and hope😂😂😂😂
Truly truly TRULY a timeless moment. To this day it brings tears to my eyes. This song expresses a true declaration of love, trust and devotion. I wrote down the lyrics to this song in a birthday card for my boyfriend. And here we are - almost 14 years together - and it still applies to us. I grew up watching this show and love the relationships in it. But there will never ever be one like Tom & Alice Horton. God Bless McDonald Carey & Francis Reid for their talent and truth to their craft
Rick Guthrie who played David was one of my best friends. I was so shocked by his early death caused by a bad combination of heart medication (happens ofen) at 45. I miss him. Thank you for this clip.
Thanks so much for this... My mom got me hooked on this soap and this is the best years of the soap i can can recall that this was Tom and Alice's favorite song. ...Thanks again.
Wow, stumbled across this by accident and it brought back so many memories. I grew up in front of a TV and the Horton's just seemed like a part of our life. Wesley Eure and all of the cast were masters of emotions with the ever changing fast twist that you looked forward to seeing just how it things could possiably work out! The one thing you new you could count on not changing on Days Of Our Lives, was the Horton's and their amazing love for each other.
Richard Guthre was a neighbor of mine for 3yrs...out apartments were on HOLLYWOOD and FULLER ave.... we had a ball out by the pool.... smoking some pot..and soaking up the sun...eating pizza at night.... Miss U buddy!! Peter C in L.A.
He is probably most remembered as David Banning. Greg Marx played the role for a few years -- but not as long as Richard. I had read that he passed some time ago -- very sad.
The little girl in this video is Hope, played by a younger actress, years before Kristian took over the role. Wesley Eure from Land Of The Lost played Mike Horton at the time.
Thank you for broadcasting this very special moment. Tom and Alice were the golden couple of the soaps. God bless Bill Hayes, for he was truly one of the best singers of daytime.
Isn't that Margo Anderson with Mike Horton (Wesley Eure)? Loved those two together. Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie Williams) gave the best dramatic face/pause in daytime ever. Loved when she would turn her head and look so sad.
Timeless. ....loved seeing other favorite couples... Doug and Julie...and David (Rick Guthrie--'May he rest in peace 05-06-1950 to 10-28-1995 -and Trish.
i wish they would do more singing on today's days shows. they have a lot of potential especially with chloe and stefano - it would be much more f un to see that than the depressing story lines!
In an episode of Days in 2016 Maggie and Jennifer mentioned Tommy Horton Jr. and confirmed that he is still alive! They should bring him back into the fold.
@ashnashbffs4eva Oh thanks! I think it is kind of sad that they did not write it in when, when she passed! I hope they write her a good farewell. I would love to see all the old cast members come together for it.
Julie sang this song to Diug to jog his memory the evil took over him so much Love she brought him home for Thanksgiving I want Hope to cone back to see her Daddy
The original Hope is there. She went off to camp as a child and came back as 20 something years old Hope. What happened to the child Hope and what's she up to now?
In order and watch they sang a part, David and Trish, Mickey and Maggie, Mike and Margo, Bill and Laura, Hope as a little girl, siblings Tom Jr and Marie, and then Julie, and Tom and Alice
I recall Julie being burned at a barbeque grill. The fire had become too high, I think. I distinctly remembered that. I was either 14 or 15 years old at the time.
It was an accident with a faulty gas oven (indoor) she was using. I think it was at Maggie's farmhouse, but not exactly sure on the details. It led to her first divorce from Doug. I think they divorced a second time before finally reuniting permanently in the late 90s or thereabout.
I was mad that John and Marlena did not get a big sendoff or something other than 2 witnesses for a wedding and see ya.. so if they don't do justice for Frances Reid, the show can just ... well you know.
Julie was having an affair at the time if I remember correctly, or it might have been Doug. She was the "Sammie" when she was the younger star.. that is why she can spot trouble a mile away now. NBC is having so many problems, no ratings.. TOO many times did DOOL let a star go instead of paying them what they wanted, only to have to pay to get them back later on. Sad.. Tony, Anna, Steve and Kayla, Chelsea... are all going soon.. I think the show has maybe 2 years before it's cancelled.
R.I.P. to MacDonald Carey, Frances Reid, Edward Mallory, Lanna Saunders, John Clarke, John Lupton, Richard Guthrie, and now Bill Hayes. We'll be loving you all... always 🙏 🕊
I'm sixty-one, and I watched Days of our Lives with my grandmother when I was a little girl. Days is the only soap opera that held my interest.
I have been watching since I was a teen! I remember coming home from high school and seen Marlena and Samantha EVANS then I was hooked. 🥰
I also watched it with my grandmother
This is exactly what is missing from soaps of today and had led to their demise! If they only understood what is unique about soaps that is not found in any other form of entertainment! This was beautiful! The Days I remember!
Yes so true ❤❤❤❤
So much love was shown in the way they shared the stories!! May Mr. Billy Hayes Rest In Peace 😢
I will always remember Doug from days of our lives Bill Hayes. I’ve been watching days of our lives since I was 17 and I will be 60 in two weeks at sad news because they were my favorite couple of days besides Bo and hope😂😂😂😂
One of the most iconic moments in days
Today, this has more meaning that most could ever know.
In memory of Frances Reid, we will be loving you- ALWAYS!

I always loved that the actors who played Bill and Micky resembled each other. Great casting of them as brothers!
Loved hearing Bill Hayes sing this one last time in 2024
...i know right? ❤
😢😭🙏🏼
Rick Guthrie who played David was one of my best friends. I was so shocked by his early death caused by a bad combination of heart medication (happens ofen) at 45. I miss him.
Thank you for this clip.
He was one of the reasons I watched! MAN, I had a major crush on both him & Wesley Eure!!!😍
Thanks so much for this... My mom got me hooked on this soap and this is the best years of the soap i can can recall that this was Tom and Alice's favorite song. ...Thanks again.

Rip, Bill Hayes❤ I grew up watching Days from as early as I can remember, and my mom sang this to me as a lullaby. You will be missed, sir!
As a Days fan of 37 years, this was a joy to watch. This was before I watched but seeing all these familiar faces is heartwarming 💕
Yes it was 😢
The First Family of Daytime Television. RIP Bill Hayes

Beautiful! What lovely voices!! I’ve always loved that song. It will be played at my funeral one day - in the distant future, hopefully.
Doug and Julie are my all time favorite Days couple! A real love story!
I ran here after the news about Bill Hayes! #RIP 💔
this is one of my favorite DOOL scenes of all time-thank you for posting
Macdonald & Francis had such an amazing chemistry. R.I.P. Macdonald Carey & Francis Reid. The cornerstones & foundation of DOOL. Miss them both
The little girl in this video is Hope, played by a younger actress, years before Kristian took over the role. Wesley Eure from Land Of The Lost played Mike Horton at the time.
Is that young girl Danielle Brisebois (who used be in "Bunker Place" with Carroll O'Connor)?
@@TX1961 No, that is Natasha Ryan playing Hope.
What yr was this
Wonderful! When Days, had heart, spirit, and a true message. 👍 ❤️
Thank you for broadcasting this very special moment. Tom and Alice were the golden couple of the soaps. God bless Bill Hayes, for he was truly one of the best singers of daytime.
Wow this is great! I hope they use these classic clips for Alice's funeral/memorial. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, this brought back memories of the days I used to watch the show with my great grandmother. I'll be crying for a while.
Nice to see all of them again rip 😀❤️
Isn't that Margo Anderson with Mike Horton (Wesley Eure)? Loved those two together. Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie Williams) gave the best dramatic face/pause in daytime ever. Loved when she would turn her head and look so sad.

10-29-1995.
I love this!! I was in high school at this time. I had a huge crush on David Banning. He was so cute and gentle & soft spoken.
That is the days that i grew up with the best years

As the World Turns used “Always” as parr of the 30th anniversary episode in 1986
I’d love to be a Horton ❤

i wish they would do more singing on today's days shows. they have a lot of potential especially with chloe and stefano - it would be much more f un to see that than the depressing story lines!
now they're together in heaven. Even if they weren't lovers in real life.
The good old days of soaps
In an episode of Days in 2016 Maggie and Jennifer mentioned Tommy Horton Jr. and confirmed that he is still alive! They should bring him back into the fold.
Yeah, but who to play him? His portrayer, John Lupton, has been long dead since 1993?
Love Margo so much but can't find videos of her
@ashnashbffs4eva Oh thanks! I am so looking forward to seeing all the old people!
They all sound good. lol, I wish Days did this sort of thing now! I love Maggie, Doug and Julie (:
I can't stop wondering how the years go by so fast?
@ashnashbffs4eva Oh thanks! I think it is kind of sad that they did not write it in when, when she passed! I hope they write her a good farewell. I would love to see all the old cast members come together for it.
RIP Macdonald and Francis
Julie sang this song to Diug to jog his memory the evil took over him so much Love she brought him home for Thanksgiving I want Hope to cone back to see her Daddy
the show is not the same without alice and tom it was a three generation show. i really miss watching the show the way it used to be
@1:11 Who is the young girl? Is that Hope?
Yes!
He's the man sitting in between the little girl and the nun
Tom, Jr. -- or Tommy. The actor who played him died, but on the show they still refer to him as being alive.
@charmedbrauden no, Francis Reid, Alice, just died earlier this year...a quick google of her name will prove it true... ;)
Yeah I guess you're right. Doug went gray in the 80's
No. Alice is still alive as is her portrayor Frances Reid. She was last seen Christmas 2007.
The original Hope is there. She went off to camp as a child and came back as 20 something years old Hope. What happened to the child Hope and what's she up to now?
I hope they put this in the funeral
That is what I thought. But I have not gotten to watch much lately.
Can someone go over the names of characters by couple by couple? Before my time lol
In order and watch they sang a part, David and Trish, Mickey and Maggie, Mike and Margo, Bill and Laura, Hope as a little girl, siblings Tom Jr and Marie, and then Julie, and Tom and Alice
@@ticinetal perfect

Why was Julie sad? This was before my time so I am not sure what was going on.
did Alice Horton die?
I was mad that John and Marlena did not get a big sendoff or something other than 2 witnesses for a wedding and see ya.. so if they don't do justice for Frances Reid, the show can just ... well you know.
@qwertypoopize Yes it is :)
Tommy and Marie together was slightly creepy considering

Now Days has men kissing. Times have changed.
Does that make you horny baby?
