Oof, the ratio of Pyro to Cyberse monsters is pretty damning. Also WTF is that lava cheese that Volcanic Rat is holding? That's some weird-ass lore, if they live in a volcano that produces dairy products.
To be fair, Vrains was centered around them, with the protagonist pumping out random Cyberse while the others were each given a different Cyberse archetype.
Some basic tech cards for Volcanic: -Foolish Burial Goods and Paleozoic Marella. Your entiere strategy is to raigeki the opponent's board, be sure to have a bunch of cards to send Reload for its grave effect! Less basic tech cards: -Ties of the Brethren. Rocket, Slicer, Firestorm Guards, Solar Flare Dragon and Barrier Statue of the Inferno all share the same level/type, attribute. Any of these with Ties gets you to two others depending of your needs. That's another access to an accelerator via Rocket, or more burn/stun from Solar Flare or Barrier Statue. And it's not like you're special summoning a lot besides that. -Ancient Gear Catapult. That one is more funky, but it's another card to send with Foolish Goods. You then can use its GY effect to destroy your face-up Reload to have it in the GY, while summoning a Machine token, a perfect material for Blaze Fenix or Volcannon, if your idea is to play fusions.
I havent played the game in literal years, but good god if Volcanics got support- i dont know if i could stop myself. I think I’d love to see another ‘ammunition’ monster cause thats the coolest part of the deck

Or maybe a new tri-blaze acelerator that make pyro type monster level 2 unaffected by effects
Or, and I'm just throwing this out there, they expand on the Blaze Accelerators and ammo Volcanics to be more than just variants on Scattershot & Reload. I mean if they are in the Duelist Pack then that's 7 cards of new support. There's room to be a bit imaginative. For example, if drawing and grave effects are big bullseyes for modern hand traps, maybe go back to the deck's roots with the Blaze Accelerators as the offensive side of the equation. If they'd allow it, maybe make it a (literal) hand-sniper to avoid risk of hand-traps interfering with your ammo's effect.
When you talked about Volcanic Hammerer’s second “er”; I looked up the Japanese name and it was translated to “Volcanic Hammer”. I do wonder why the English name has that second “er”.
If I'm not mistaken I'm guessing it was censorship. Volcanic shell I believe was called volcanic bullet, scattershot was buckshot, and the blaze accelerator cards were called blaze _cannon_ Axel was a straight up mercenary and his duel disk was supposed to look like a gun and even fired cards later in season 3. So my guess is "hammer" referred to the hammer on a firearm, it's still kind of silly to a degree, but I could see that being the case. If you've never watched it, the GX sub is a hell of a lot darker than the dub, the reason Jaden is so shaken up in season 3 is because it wasn't being "sent to the stars," it was literally stated that losing a duel would result in capital D death.

To be fair, battlin' boxer is so obscure in konami's eyes, volcanic has higher chances of getting picked up if anything, the meme of "X days since volcanic support" might change to "x days since battlin' boxer support" if volcanic gets picked up
Battling boxer and salamangreats are well deserved spots for a duelist pack. Konami have already gives us the F.U bomb in flame swordsman with that link 2 monster, so I am really confident about volcanic supports coming soon
My ideas for the Duelists of the Inferno Volcanics: monsters that are treated as "blaze accelerator" on the field. Battling Boxer: combine the xyz spam with the number 80 and C80 effect on pseudo union. Salamangreat: main deck monsters that are treated as the link monsters If they are use as material for a Salamangreat link monster, and A GOSH DARN SYNCHRO MONSTER.
Both Volcanics, Flamvell, Valkyries, Lunalights, Mermails, X-Sabers, Constellars, Stellarknight, Lightsworns, Gusto, Magnet Warrior's, Gearfried the Iron Knights, Gilford the Lightning, Giai the Fierce Knight, and also Dark Magician Girls all need more New Yugioh TCG Deck's support from Konami!
"If this thing doesn't get a retrain in the future, it's doomed to obscurity" Wouldn't a retrain doom it to obscurity much faster anyway? I mean assuming you mean a replacement-type of retrain, which most people on the internet tend to even though a lot of anime retrains tend not to be that. Like, I could see a Fusions made from it, or some kind of partner boss that supports use of Doomfire like Blue-Eyes Alternative or CB Rainbow Dragon; but if you do mean a replacement than I fail to see how a better alternative would make Doomfire less obscure or see more play.
Honestly been waiting so long for the Flame Swordsman Archetype to happen I really want Ready Fusion to be ran because in deck the original isn't required but is genuinely good as a free resource with Ready Fusion. I also want a Time Wizard archetype
I know I just mean a true one not like Ferocious Flame Swordsman who is a Extra deck monster but more like the retrain of Giltia D. Knight Soul Spear who is a effect monster
Honestly, I'd prefer the original be required. Give the deck an in-theme Ready Fusion effect or 3 if you must, but if by the end the most optimal version of a Flame Swordsman deck doesn't include it's name sake, it'll feel like wasted potential; not to mention just wrong in the same way a Dark Magician deck not running Dark Magician or Blue-Eyes deck not running Blue-Eyes White Dragon would feel wrong.

So I think it should focus on the retrains for the archetype. And maybe give the archetype its own ready fusion effect and make the pay off to that a Fusion Monster that requires the OG as material. Mainly I'd want cards effects that would somehow make Blue Flame Swordman necessary, since he's A. normal summonable like how the OG was in the anime and B. has what I think was Flame Swordsman's Deck Master Effect, thus making him feeling more thematic to what I'd want from the archetype Also if this archetype becomes real I want it to be primarily a Warrior, Pyro, and possibly a spellcaster Archetype that way it has an added flare to the variety of typing to help differentiate itself from Infernoble Knights.

Weird tech pick but in my early shadoll deck, ran three scattershots because I lacked a fire attribute for grysta and got way more worth than just that. Got lucky with and El shadoll deck pull for grysta, one Got dumped from my hand to bring out danger big foot and with a normal summon of falco into monster reborn scattershot and then into T.G hyper librarian and finally used raigeki that I pulled from big foots effect and just swung for game
Is no one going to mention that Volcanic Rocket is Egyptian God support? I mean, Ra's Blaze Cannon is always treated as a Blaze Accelerator card. Just in case you thought that archetype connections reached it's peak with a fusion monster of Drytron's and Ursarctic's field spells.
Volcanic are a great representatives of their own type and attribute with a strategy that literally burns to stay on theme. Konami literally has a problem when HERO monsters have too much support to fit in one deck vs an archetype that explores a different way to play and win the game.
I would like a retrain of Volcanic Doomfire myself but also of Garoozis since it helped Joey a lot especially when equipped with Kunai and chain which if retrained that will be something they will do
Possibly just a bad idea on my part but... Battle Mania + Doomfire? That would be an instance where you can actually force the opponent to use it's effect. I'm not that versed in the modern meta and this just popped into my head because I ran it in a Yubel deck. Just thought I'd mention it :3
At the time, Blaster was good; set monsters were normally attacked, and there wasn't much to interfere with draws so waiting ~half a turn wasn't terrible
On one hand I’d like to see Flame Swordsman get some proper support, on the other I want Payne96’s dreams to come true. Knowing Konami they’d find any excuse to put DM recognition on a set, look at the Water duelist pack.
Legit, Salamangreat and Battlin Boxers are the only other prominent fire deck in any anime. Unless they do decide to make a deck based around flame swordsman, it would be criminal to not have Volcanics
Gotta love that title. Back then yeah pyros were really in the can. With only volcanics having any form of cohesion. Lavals were put into circulation later than they should’ve been, and flamvell was only good in Edison. Nowadays pyros are titans with the most dominant archetype and engine running them, an almost carbon copy of ROTA for pyros, and that volcanic support that makes them a burn king.
That bird head is from Team Fortress 2. It's a Cosmetic Item for the Heavy specifically. It's Generally used in Meme loadouts and more commonly by friendlies. Seriously hope the SaveTF2 hashtag was enough to get Valve off their asses to do something about the Bot crisis (and not like the last time they "Tried" to solve it, only to fuck over free to plays by locking communication behind a Paywall).
Additional Silly Tech Pick - Dyna Base!!! It provides access to Fusion Monsters just like Super Poly, but that access isn't limited to specific matchups!
Fire-Pyro needs to be ap strong aggro deck that burns but isn't locked out of battle phase. Maybe an archetype where all the monsters have an effect where they can use themselves as quick-play or normal spell cards that burn the opponent equal to their attack points, an effect that cannot be negated.
I honestly want to see more support and love to FIRE warrior type monsters, we got so little cards to work with to keep up with meta. Though Magikey decks needs love and support more to be perfectly honest.
I still waiting for an upgrade fire of destruction structure deck. The next fire attribute anime character archetype are jack atles red, battlin boxer, salamangreat, and volcanic for the duelist pack
playing a bunch of magical musket, can confirm that relying on your opponent to finish on a bunch of monsters for your effects to work feels real bad sometimes at least muskets can run dark ruler no more, although droplet has really good synergy with volcanics, come to think of it

Back then yeah pyros were really in the can. With only volcanics having any form of cohesion. Lavals were put into circulation later than they should’ve been, and flamvell was only good in Edison.
Nowadays pyros are titans with the most dominant archetype and engine running them, an almost carbon copy of ROTA for pyros, and that volcanic support that makes them a burn king.
And they just got some support! Good job summoning that support everyone!!!!!

Fire-Pyro needs to be ap strong aggro deck that burns but isn't locked out of battle phase. Maybe an archetype where all the monsters have an effect where they can use themselves as quick-play or normal spell cards that burn the opponent equal to their attack points, an effect that cannot be negated.
I honestly want to see more support and love to FIRE warrior type monsters, we got so little cards to work with to keep up with meta.
Though Magikey decks needs love and support more to be perfectly honest.
I still waiting for an upgrade fire of destruction structure deck. The next fire attribute anime character archetype are jack atles red, battlin boxer, salamangreat, and volcanic for the duelist pack
playing a bunch of magical musket, can confirm that relying on your opponent to finish on a bunch of monsters for your effects to work feels real bad sometimes
at least muskets can run dark ruler no more, although droplet has really good synergy with volcanics, come to think of it
