Hell Yeah! I was so hoping this would become an annual occurrence! Thanks Ry :D :D P.S I was a bit miffled there was no POV of Daltos on the jingle jam vod as his game looked amazing
Ry, only started watching you recently and I didn't even know you follow The Yogscast - by the sound of it, we both follow them since forever. Anyhow, just wanted to tell you how much your content helped me. I'm a family man now, don't really have time to play and I only dabble in SP. Hopefully I can gety group of friends to try Civ V instead of HoMM3 on our next annual 1-day LAN. Love your language, how thorough you are and your attention to detail. I LAUGHED OUT LOUD WHEN I SAW THAT YOU ARE USING PAINT! 😂 Keep doing what you are doing! ❤ If you are available on coaching or live tips&tricks, i'll take that offer
Appreciate the kind words, hopefully you’re able to convince them to play civ with you! Happy to walk you through the early game - hop in my discord and shoot me a message.
Hey Ry, I saw you did a lot of talk on settler building in this video. I recently played a game as Mexico and found their unique 'Ranchero' to somewhat upend most of these strategies. Is it perhaps possible you can talk a bit about how the meta revolves around their production and timing?
Absolutely. Mexico is a unique civ because they get a free worker on pottery. So this works extremely well with building an early granary. In fact, once you’re don’t building settlers, you could have grown 1-3 pop and instantly start making a wonder or workers or whatever. But because they’re so reliant on the granary, if they get starts that don’t have a lot of granary resources (they get replaced for pastures or stone), you’re going to be in a tough spot. I just played a liberty game as Mexico which would be a great reference to see how you can navigate the weird settler
@ I did check it out and it’s a great video but I wish you would have discussed this part of your strategy a bit more. While I did have good land for liberty in my own game as well, I suspect it might not always be a consistent play. The hacienda being a very costly building to produce and very dependent on resources to make use of.
Well the alternative is the person that was incredibly ahead just steam rolls the lobby and the game ends incredibly fast. I don't know what would be better.
I think it would be more fun if Daltos just played to steamroll as giga alliance against leading players are quite fun to watch but yeah is a bit sadge that only Daltos has really taken an open mind to improving his civ game
Melon! 🎉 Thanks for this and thanks for the donation 😊
Incredible, and happy to support a great cause
fun to watch, a teaching game where you switch povs to raise the skill level could be fun!
Lewis’s APM always impresses me and i think its how he usually manages to keep up with daltos in a lot of recent games
Thank you, this was very helpful!

Great vid with lots of nice tips for a more... novice player like myself.
You deserve every sub you have and then some.

LOL didn't know this was a thing.
Melons!
Was this the one where they just fed one player making the game pointless
Really got robbed of a Civ game
