Matt, dang you are NAILING it with these “short films”!!! These are the kinds of vlogs that motivate people to get away from the “noise” in life, get away from Corporate America, the nasty news on TV every night, to go buy the bike, and see this epic landscape we’ve all been blessed to experience. These journeys either solo or with the right company, really remind us what’s important in life and make for great story telling for all the years to come. The camping, the photo ops, the huckleberry pie, the weather, the elements, the wildlife, the big sky, the chatter. Man I REALLY appreciate these types of vlogs, and few narrate and do it as well as you… Glacier, Death Valley, Zion… providing great feedback to those buying bikes in finding the right ride for their riding style, and great intel on all the destinations to consider… I had that perfect moment as you pointed out so well and I never thought of it that way, but an early morning ride out of Telluride, leading a few guys after a big breakfast, on our way to a little town called Ridgeway, on our way to Aspen. No traffic, refreshing brisk weather, epic scenery, not riding hard following a long day of more than 540 miles, there was that relaxing moment where you think, “man, riding doesn’t get any better than this”. Great stuff Matt, you’re causing me to reflect and get long winded! Lol.
I appreciate that comment my friend. Thank you! You pretty much summarized exactly what I hope people take away from watching my riding trips. I'm glad people like you are enjoying them.
Every production keeps getting better, love the History lesson! I think it may be time to retire and spend the rest of my life riding around America! What a country, you guys are truly blessed!
Yeeees you have a biiig country, I was only just thinking this morning that Thailand is actually pretty small, not being allowed to cross borders and check out Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia is very frustrating. One biker mate is talking about riding to the foot of Everest, now that would be something. Its good to dream sometimes.
About eight years ago I rode from the east coast to the west and back. On the return I stopped in Fresno to visit friends. From there I did Yosemite, A night in Bishop then Death Valley. This was August, it was 109 at Stove Pipe and 122 at Furnace. Really hot but worth every mile I traveled. I’m 73 now and am planning a Colorado west coast and back trip this year. Probably do 6 to 8 weeks of riding. The trip I mentioned here totaled 12,500 miles and took 65 days. Ride on gentlemen ,loved the video.
I've ridden all over Death Valley on my 2002 RKC on several trips. Love it. Great roads and ever changing colors and scenery. You pretty much need two days to catch the highlights of the park on a motorcycle. You didn’t miss much not seeing Scotty's Castle. Still worth the ride. You got the crater to see as well at that end of the park. Nice video.
fantastic video ! having lived most of my life in a big city in Canada a lot of my riding has been through huge areas of forest so the couple of times i've been to the SouthWest i've completely fallen in love with the barren deserts of Arizona and California . they have a beauty that's hard to pin down , just so much open space and a completely different colour palette than i'm used to . this video captures that beauty incredibly well . i can't wait until i have another chance to visit and Death Valley has definitely been added to my list !
I really appreciate the comment. It's funny how we all crave what we don't have. I love the lush forest because I get a lot of desert. I can appreciate both though. Take care
Man bro this was one cold ass vid man, from the history in the beginning to the night of camping to the ride with that great music, everything. I got some planning to do with my bros.👍🏿
Awesome! Very nicely done! I visited Scotty's Castle the year before the close. I have pictures before the flood. I can't believe it is still closed. It's been years.
Another fantastic video Matt. Showing people how great it is being in the Harley-Davidson family. I'm 68 now but still ride my SGS almost every day. I have had many adventures on the 7 Harley-Davidson's I've owned over the last 33 years. My favorite trips always involved camping. Former Milwaukee native saying greetings from SW Florida.
I'm 4 hr north of Sacramento in the mountains, it amazes me anyone would WANT to live in such a place as death valley, so MISERABLY hot and desolate, i can't comprehend it, but that's what makes this country the great, something for everyone. Whenever I cross Nevada on a roadtrip it's at NIGHT. Cool video Matt.
Cool that you guys did some motorcycle camping! I’m going on an overnight motorcycle camping trip this weekend which is awesome cuz it’s November in central Illinois. Supposed to be in the 60s so gotta take advantage! Been motorcycle camping all my life (63 now). Only stay in hotels on trips if the weather is really nasty. The more you do the camping thing the better and more comfortable you’ll be. I remember waking up in Yellowstone with our tents and bikes totally frosted over. Inside our tents and sleeping bags we were as snug as can be. Thanks for a great video!
Just tuned into your road trips and channel. What a great group you got there. Totally buying a bike now. Got my license last year and need this in my life

Having been to Germany I can tell you as an American that we wish we had some places like you have. I've been all over Europe and in my opinion nowhere has more natural beauty than Southern Germany. Including Austria, Switzerland and Northern Italy. Someday come to The Great Southwest, rent a Harley Davidson and ride !
'Riding my Harley on Artist Pallete Rd at sunset that day was one of those moments' Been there, done that. & hope to do it again. You nailed it! Love your vids!
Easily your best road trip video so far, as it prominently features a Road King Classic. The white walls and the chrome beautifully complement the colours of the desert and the blue skies!
Matt- this might be my FAVORITE video you have ever put out. We traveled from Seattle to visit DVNP last Feb- the WHOLE TIME, from my rental car, I was thinking how awesome it would be on my HD. I loved seeing many of the same spots we hung out as a family. You seemed to have a great time. These must take an enormous effort to put together- just want you to know how much I appreciate it!
Once again, you’ve knocked it outta the park, Matt. The narration and explanations were fantastic. I think what I enjoy most about your videos is the fact that you do a great job showing what the Harley culture truly is. You aren’t just trying to sell bikes, but selling a lifestyle. I find it truly appealing. You truly are living your best life and I hope I’m watching these videos for a long long time. Kudos to your team as well! Great bikes and great people!
Wow ..... that was an !! epic !! video .... What you said about those moments on a road trip with your Harley where everything is so perfect was so true! THANKS to you and your team for sharing that ride !
Friends and motorcycles priceless! Love the narration Mr Laidlaw. Keep the videos coming. I bought my first Harley a couple of weeks ago because of your videos. Never thought I’d ride a Harley or any motorcycle again. Thought I was to old. Your videos inspired me. Thank you Sir.
Woooo incredible man, my dream is to make a trip like this one day with my partners and our harleys, I'm from Brazil but I'm still going to know the valley of death one day. 🤟🏻🏴☠️🏍🏍🏍
I really like these destination videos. I was stationed at Ft Irwin from 1998 to 2000. I have a 2012 FLHTCU which I like very much. The first bike I ever rode on was a 1963 Duo glide when I was 4 years old so Harly Davidson was ingrained in my childhood. I live in Northern Utah so I can really relate to all your videos. Thanks for your work on TH-cam!

From New Zealand and our first trip in 2007 we went to Death Valley not long after Sturgis....Interesting, second trip 2012 was even better but had just had massive thunderstorm through and there was water and rocks all over the road...Love that place. Top video, the filming and content is top quality...Thank you
Great video, good comments, seasoned with some historic facts: Perfect! Simply good entertainment. Good put together. Some of these videos you have made in recent years is, in my opinion, thoroughbred documentary movies. Great music and a wonderful contribution to keep the Harley-Davidson and motorcycle culture alive. Thank you for sharing and doing this!
Awesome completely changed my perception of Death Valley thanks for showing. When you stopped in at the canteena I was thinking a picture of beer and a pizza would be so good. Just bought like 2 days ago a 2020 Harley Street Glide special in competition orange I've not even got it home yet. Now winter is here so I will park it in the garage and watch your videos .
Well done from every perspective. Captured scenery, history, camaraderie - even the music was subtle and enhanced the production. Mind you, there is no sweeter music than the Harley itself - recommending more of that.

Gorgeous film. Love it, every second
