🟥 DISCLAIMER: I make these videos to share my own personal methods and techniques for how I make cold process soap. These videos are not intended as tutorials for beginners. The content I create is intended for those who already have an understanding of cold process soap making. Cold process soapmaking involves working with sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also referred to as lye). Lye and raw soap can permanently damage your eyes and burn your skin. When making soap, you should already know and practice lye safe handling procedures and always wear safety gear during the entire soapmaking process, even while cleaning up. I hope you find watching my videos helpful or entertaining. However, due to the many variables that can affect a particular batch of soap, if you do try any of my methods or techniques that I use in my videos, I cannot be held liable or responsible for your results.

Hi! I hope you’re all doing well! Have you ever used Cambrian blue clay in your soapmaking or body products? I just recently tried this soap, and, besides the pretty green color 😉, I really like how it performs and feels. The lather felt so soft, almost as if I was using a water softener (if that makes sense). Sometimes clay can feel drying, but this didn’t at all…for me anyway.
Thanks so much for watching! -Holly :)
Hi Holly, I haven't tried this cambrian clay yet but it's on my list, looks lovely in your soap and from your description it is too. Thanks for another excellent & helpful video xx
Hello dear Holly, I used exactly the same cambrian Blue Clay as you! The colour also turned out the same, I like the soap very much. I wonder, how other people get these vibrant turkoise colours out of Blue Clay.
If it was possible, I would share here a picture where I made a soap out of 3 natural blue colours ☺️ greetings from South Germany
I like your soap making video. Your videos are very motivational. I have decided to start my own soap making business. For which I need your guidance as a mentar. Can you help me with my start up. I will always be grateful to you for your help. Thanks
I always learn something from your videos. I never heard of Cambrian Blue Clay before. I am also a soap maker and on your same line of thinking as of as natural as possible. The only difference is that I don’t use lard. Love your videos. 😍❣️
Holly, Your videos inspire me. I love everything you do. Thank you for being so kind and generous.
Aww, thank you so much, Wendy!
Lovely color. Thank you for sharing

Simple and calming soapmaking! Thank you for the video
I haven’t tried lard in my soap yet. I’m a new soaper but it looks so creamy that I’m going to give it a shot. I really enjoy your videos.
Lovely !!! Always excited for watching your beautiful soaps!!!Hope would use them one day !!!!!!
Thank you for the lard/tallow recipe. Tallow is great for soap making! I add citric acid to increase bubbles.
Beautiful soap.
I also love your videos
LESS IS MORE ! Thanks for sharing. you are amazing !its so beautifull xxx
I also tried that clay from the same company....and nothing.... it doesnt give any color at all !
Thanks for sharing your experience...!
I love this soap, very pretty 😍! I don't usually use clays, but, this looks like it would be nice, I also use beef tallow in my soaps, it moisturizes my skin nicely too. Thanks Holly, good to see you as always 😊.
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful colour and love the swirls 😊
Thank you for highlighting this product. Your soap turned out beautiful 😍.
Thank you so much!
Holly this looks so creamy, the swirl reminds me of a Japanese print, another fabulous looking soap. Hope someone responds to your clay question. Thank you again Holly for such beautiful vudeos
Beautiful 🤩 The swirls are so pretty.

Thank you so much and thank you for watching them!
Beautiful and elegant looking soap. ❤️
Thank you so much!
Thanks 😊 congrats
I also bought the Cambrian Blue Clay and was so disappointed in the color so I did add blue mica. Should of, could’ve of waited as looking at your soap, it’s a wonderful color!!
I bought this same clay a year ago that I have been procrastinating using in soap lol
Hi,
I used Serbian blue clay and the beautiful blue colour turned steel grey
❤️
Hi Holly. What are the benefits of this blue clay. Nice video . Thanks for sharing
Your work is always amazing, I know .. I want to ask you please, how is the soap smooth and without flaws and holes?? + Why do you cover the mold, do I need to cover it if you are in a dry area, there is no sea
When measuring your clay is the measurement for the PPO for the divided portion or the entire batch of oils? Thanks Holly I love your videos! I've used Kaolin clay before and I think it's kind of drying but would consider trying this since you like it! 😊
The clay usage rates are for the divided portions. 😊
Your voice reminds me of home.
May I ask where you got your soap planer at? Thank you.
Sure! The little one I used in this video was actually purchased from a company that has since gone out of business (Soap Making Resource). I do have another acrylic planer that I really like - purchased from Custom Soap Stamps on Etsy. If you search google or Etsy for Custom Soap Stamps planer, they usually pop up first. 😊
Please let us know when your SOAPMAKER tees are back in stock. 🧡
Why oven the soap help unmolding sooner? Is it because the water containt reduce more?
I’ve had a small box of Cambrian blue clay for a while now but have never made a soap with it. I’ll have to make a loaf now and see how it feels to me! I always use kaolin clay and Tussah silk fibers in my soap, but now I’m wondering if the Cambrian clay / silk combo will have a different feel to it than the kaolin / silk combo.🤔🤔
I love using silk, too, for that same reason. I bet it would be a great combination. 😊
Is silk fibers the same as using silk amino acid?
@@belindaayewoh437 I would think it would give a similar feel, but I can’t say for sure. I’ve never used the silk amino acids in my soap. I will have to try it out and see!
@@hollysoapmaking I made this soap and it feels soooooo nice! I love the combo of the Cambrian clay and silk!
@@belindakarst7515 Great. I'm going to try adding silk amino acid and clay on my next batch
Made some, but broke up when i tried to cut it,i think i may have used too much clay, can this be rescued.

The one in the box is the true Cambrian blue clay. It's the one I use - gives me blue in 100 % CO soap. The other clay is too blue to be true. It's most probably adulterated.
