No shame. I'm a metalhead, and this is one of my favorite songs (ever). It grooves on drums and bass, riffs on guitar, and she's got a voice like an angel.
The fact that this is actually a heartbreak song because the singer begs for someone’s love and that her self esteem is so low, she’s even okay with him only pretending to love her....
It's a very sneaky song. It's heartbreaking but sounds poppy and happy while being musically complex. It's a highly underrated album, these are real musicians.

I found my poor sweet big brother dead in his bed on 9/11/20. That was the most devastating day of my life. I don’t remember the first few days after. But the Sunday after I put on my brave face and went to clean out his room and get it ready to be emptied. For some reason the moment I opened his door this song came into my head. I hadn’t thought about or heard it in literal years but there it was strong and clear every note and lyric. I burst into tears with the perfection of how exactly it captured what I’m going through. Thanks Cardigans. My brother loved this song when we were teens. We both did.

but still cutes than we're all..
The vocalist looks like the main character of the romantic comedy I'd love to watch.
She looks like the protatonist of Netflix: The good place
Yeah, she looks like Kirsten Dunst who's basically starred in every 90s teen movies ever.

The singer is perfection! Those eyes and that voice! She is a dream.
My teenage sons requested this song. They know the entire lyrics. 😂 ❤
As they should! Awesome Kids!😂😊

my youngest son (16) surprised me by knowing this jam. I grew up as a kid and teen in the 90s...and they know pretty much all by music (i stay back in the day🤷♀️ can't help myself.)
Your kids are awesome!
Them DRUMS!!!!!
the meaning of this song is actually so depressing
Yes, is literally a girl begging for a man to love her back. That's not healthy.
Meh... she will have eventually to accept the loose, but it isn´t necesary that unhealthy. Unless it last too long.
The British version of this video makes more sense with the song
Zanillani what is the british version?
naaah really? Wasnt obvious /s
the most masculine song to listen at the gym 💪💪

What a magnificent little jewel of a pop song. Consummately 1990's.

@@katherinewilson1853Not always.
It's hard to believe this song is more than 25 years old, it seems like only yesterday it was new, and all over the radio.
I was 9 on a vacation trip of summer ‘97, even myself realized it was something new and cool, and it fit great with the vibes of the beach at night having dinner with my parents at the hotel lobby, sunburnt, and a very hot island even at night 🏝 i remember feeling cool cause we were at the bar and i was almost 9, lol
Somewhere a kohls is playing this song right now
Heard it playing at Kmart the other day..
Heard it at office depot today
It played at a Home Depot lol
Heard it at McDonald's
I danced my ass off when I heard this in a Walgreens, at the time I only knew 2 nirvana songs, trying to cut back on pop, and only had 70 build a bears
Makes me want to dance
This song always sounds both sad and fun, years later I still dont know which to feel.
the 1990s and early 2000’s were the best
I crush PB's at the gym to this song, what a timeless classic
This album was one of the first CD’s I ever got a kid. My aunt got it for me on my 9th birthday in 1997 & I’ll never forget the moment I laid my eyes on the CD cover!! And I was so happy 😀 … I was in 4th grade and had grown up mostly on country and classic rock.. but this song was a game changer in music for me!
I have a kid in 4th grade and this would be an oldie to her :)
yessssssss
I was 7 in 1997 :) I wish I could have been an adult in the 90s instead :( I'm 32 now u must be 34??
I know what records are what's a CD
It was a magical time for radio music. They were classics already then and now. I'm also from 1988.
God dammit, the office, you've gotten another song stuck in my head
Jacob Thomas ikr!
