@@touchingisjustthefirststep I find it amusing how I can't name a single thing that makes me think "ah yes, FFXIV" and "ah yes, Lost Ark". It's kinda the same inoffensive MMO aesthetic lol
These blizzard employees are hustling hard! I don't blame them though. Warlords of Draenor was complete dogshit and they lost tons of players. They were desperate to get anyone they could.
Was a WoW addict for a good seven years, but once the servers got cross-realmed, all the amazing server communities that had developed died a death as every server was overwhelmed with a flood of people from the other crossed realms who had no idea about the big raiding guilds on the other servers, the big role play guilds and role players if it was an RP cluster. And ever since, I've been unable to get into WoW like I used to. Would play morning noon and night and not get bored, now I can't play it for half an hour without just groaning and shutting it off. Saved a Fuck ton of money though
And here I am genuinely TRYING to get addicted to the game and I can't enjoy it in the slightest. Over the years I've tried half a dozen times to get into WoW because the MMO's I actually enjoy keep dying and WoW seems to be the only one that's immortal. I don't understand how it has such an effect on people.
It's FF14 for me, stated last month and I've maxed 3 characters already. FF14 is more beginner friend,y by letting you play ANY class you want on the same character, "you bored of THIS character? Play as another class for a bit"
Mlow44 i feel you. i played it lots when i was younger, then i realized that there are a grand total of 3 quest types with different colors to then, the characters don't matter and all the abilities feel the damn same. there's no reason to play WoW, there are other games that beat it in every category it could compete in.
Mlow44 It's a game where people pump endless hours into it and then feel like they can't leave lest those hours go to waste. If you're not in by now it isn't gonna get ya
I stopped playing way back in vanilla, after I watched my little brother go into an epileptic fit when our Mom banned it from him for a month. Didn't touch it for years. When I tried to get back into it on a friends account so much had changed that I felt overwhelmed and immediately out it back down. Haven't touched a Blizzard product since.
I was watching wowcrendor's stupif videos and got the itch again. Then I watched Nobbel87's videos and realised how stupid the lore and story is and then I remembered all the boring shit in wow. Thank god I didn't scratch the itch. Been clean since 2013.
MikiziB just remember, the diamonds in it are mired in a swamp of same-y abilities and landscapes, and the only way to get the diamonds is a million fetch quests.
Pretty much any exchange that goes "is told about something crazy, doesn't believe it, actually sees the crazy thing, is still in disbelief" is a great podcast moment.
He dodged that bullet just to be slammed with the cannonball known as FF14.
It’s so fun coming back to Pat’s “Nobody can beat WoW at this point” comment years later when FFXIV is in the process of curb-stomping it into paste.
Technically lost ark has the most players for now

When you've got a Producer who gives a shit, and also plays the thing, it's not hard to make a decent product.
Wow, they really improved the character models for this cocaine.
It flies into my nose so smoothly.
There no meth in this batch. No sir.
"No one will ever beat this"
Thankfully Crazy Talk created FFXIV
misread the title as "pats close call with world war 3"

"We are going to have blizzard and WoW for like another 20 years"
Well speaking from 2021 (now 2022) it was acutally 5 more years of WoW before death

Your friend is a good man.
World of Warcraft is the perfect drug without killing you RIGHT AWAY, it just destroys your life and everything around you.
It was league for me, I luckily got off it.

Why have WoW crack when you already have the meth ring known as "Bird Squad?"
Could you upload the moment where they tell Matt about the moment in jojo part 3 where polnareff Goes to the bathroom with the pig toilet?
Could you tell me what podcast it's in? I could hunt for it but it'd take A WHILE

14 likes. 14 days. Spoooooky.
This is ironic seeing how hard Pat went into FFXIV these days.
Heyyy, it's just 14 days, you can quit whenever you want, right? (manufactured chuckle)
Awesome
He would then go on to create a stream where his fans would give him money to buy Heroes of the Storm Lootboxes.
Blown away, or even BEWILDERED!?
