    I hate when people or companies have bad customer service. Fingers crossed this new tyre is the bees knees and this is a one off related incedent for motoz.

      I wish it was a one off but unfortunately it isnt. 😞

    Have used nearly all avail brands over 20yrs of tours, they all go through swings and roundabouts. The Adventure is a 75/25, the RallZ 80/20. Lots of Highway at high pressures on a mostly offroad tyre - they don't like. Fully loaded on our DX, 30psi max and they're ok.......bloody tyres 😆

    • @koalakoncepts

      Yeah for sure, it was more just their attitude about it more than anything else. Considering the previous set had a fair whack of highway and no issues. These ones very little, mainly offroad and this happens 🤔

      @@koalakoncepts Hit n Miss, had Motoz last for 6K, had them throw knobs off and split at 1K - if you like the tyre, just find a great reseller that'll look after you. Try the RallZ, IMO the Adventure is too hard for the DX

      @ride360au Oh the reseller was good to deal with, just motoz themselves were crap. I have a spare set that I will most likely destroy on my East to West trip in June, then ill definitely replace them with something else.

    I have Motoz tyres on my Tenere, your experience has really made me think about changing brands when it is time for new tyres as life is too short to be dealing with bad/no customer service. Thanks for handling this in a really well balanced way. Hello from a wet and cold UK.

      Thanks David, Yes I think 3 months to wait for a replacement is ridiculous. They definitely could have done better. I could do with some cold today Sunny and 37⁰ 🫠

    It would be interesting to see if they respond to you after this blog being posted. I brought a set a couple months back to see how they go, I haven’t fitted them yet as the 606’s still have plenty of life in them.

    • @koalakoncepts

      I would love for them to respond, but unfortunately after trying to talk to them I seriously doubt it.

    Classic case of a company that can sell every tire they make , so they have adopted a "I don't care attitude" about customer satisfaction and after sales service

    • @koalakoncepts

      Thats definitely the attitude I received from them.

    Interesting. After owning a set of Motoz tires, I don't understand the hype. They aren't very good tires.

    • @koalakoncepts

      I've had sets that have been good, but after these and their attitude thats it for me.

    Seems like a high psi to run on an 80/20 tire. I have the GPS on a T7 and run at 28psi on the highway all day

    • @koalakoncepts

      These are 50/50 that pressure is fine for the GPS. Those pressures are from motoz themselves.

    Wouldn’t you think motoz would have been all over this like a skin rash for the sake of them not wanting any kind of bad publicity. On the flip side do you now really want to carry on using them not for customer service but for your future safety 🤔 second hand tyres are a no no for me as you can’t put a price on safety.

    • @koalakoncepts

      I definitely dont know what they are doing as im definitely not the only case. I totally agree with not buying second hand tyres but some people do 🤦‍♂️Ive got a big trip coming up and seriously weighing up if I should change brands for that trip even though ive got a brand new set of Motoz sitting there ready to go on.

    Nice video, and I believe companies that have poor customer service should be called out for it. Only when their revenue drops due to their customers actively selecting other products will they make changes.

    • @koalakoncepts

      Exactly its just unfortunate that the people who are sponsored by companies like this dont have the balls to say anything in fear of losing their sponsorships.

    I had the same, but even worse problem on my Motoz Adventure tire, just both sides, not one like yours, last year. After 7K kilometers, it was scary to ride.

    • @koalakoncepts

      Yeah this was about 1500km. The most disappointing thing was Motoz's attitude about it.

    Curious as to what other brands you are considering? I'll be in the market for new tires for my DDX soon. I think your experience is not uncommon with larger companies as their customer base is just too big to care about a few complaints.

    • @koalakoncepts

      Am thinking of going a slightly softer tyre, Maybe along the lines of the Dunlop Trailmax Raids. Will be changing in a couple of months, after this new set wears out.

    Fwiw, under Australian consumer law, your contract of sale is with the retailer, not the manufacturer or importer.

    • @koalakoncepts

      Hense why the retailer ended up replacing the tyre. But the retailer is not going to keep stocking tyres that do this. So very much in the interests of the manufacturer to fix their issues.

    • @martythompson6509

      @@koalakoncepts My point was that it was the responsibility of the retailer. Initially they tried to defer to the manufacturer/importer to replace the tyre. My point was that is not how Australian consumer law works and any retailer attempting to defer to the supplier is just trying to defer responsibility. Sure, in the end they honoured their retail responsibility. But it took the purchaser to "encourage" them to do so. My point was to share with people who may not know, where the responsibility is held and who they should be approaching to rectify the issue.

    • @koalakoncepts

      @martythompson6509 Lots of companies though have manufactures warranty where no matter where you buy it, you deal with the manufacturer first. Which is the process I went through. Its then up to the manufacturer to either warrant direct from them or through their distributor. This is the process that Motoz seem to not have worked out efficiently.

    • @martythompson6509

      @@koalakoncepts incorrect. Your warranty is always with the retailer. Trust me, I was in retail all my working career and have stood on both sides of the courtroom in legal cases. Even with a motor vehicle, the warranty is with the retailer. That's who your contract of sale is with and what a court would rule on. 👍

    • @koalakoncepts

      I have also been in that sector, its a manufactures warranty for a reason the warranty is with the manufacturer passed on through the reseller. Depending on the agreement with the reseller, in most cases you ring the manufacturer obtain a RMA to then give to the reseller and the exchange/repair goes smoothly. In this case Motoz do not have that. I've never heard of the retailer having the warranty only in extended warranty cases once the initial manufactures warranty has passed. Most items especially the bigger ones the retailer has nothing to do with it as long as you can supply your proof of purchase the manufacturer takes care of the replacement/repair.
