Another very interesting Ireland video. Thank you for continuing to share these beautiful videos. Indeed, Griffin's pub is very quaint and complements the Dingle peninsula and town. Learning about Ireland never gets boring and never ceases to amaze me. 🙂 The more I learn the more I want to research Ireland, what she has to offer, and eventually go there.
I would have never thought it was from a women’s name. Alas that’s not the pub I went in when I was in Dingle. It looks cool, if ever in Dingle again, which I doubt, I’ll have to go in. Shock! You had a Guinness 😅 I spotted two bottles of Jameson’s on optic, I’ll have a triple ☺
@@nakedireland Ha ha! Tempting, for sure. One never knows. I may return, if the stars align. 😊 Perhaps if I do return, I could consult you for advice on an itinerary? BTW: I wonder if you're familiar with Eugene's in Ennistymon, Co. Clare? A favourite of mine when I was there maybe eight years ago. I expect you might enjoy it as well...
Now that's a wee bar I'd enjoy a drink in! What a gem! Fantastic patina, peeling paint, bakelite and brass. Interesting that about women running bars, Ma Crowley's in Kenmare was my haunt for a pint, music and company. Hope everyone had a safe and Happy Christmas !!
Yes, it only occurred to me when I found out Bob was a lady. But when you think about it, women publicans in Ireland are common. It’s an area for further study!! 😂
@nakedireland I know an archaeologist/reenactor who's girl friends are all called "Bob"! All of them!! Even when the girl friends had girl friends, they are called Bob!
Now as for further research, should we be encouraging you to frequent more bars?? It sounds like a tough assessment, but you know, someone has to do it! Taking one for the Team as it were!!
Made me think of Nancy's in Ardara. Although it's been modernised beyond recognition now, some of the best nights I've ever had where in the old bar. 7 generation's in the same family though. Impressive.
Sept. 1991 I was visiting Dingle and I stopped in that pub. I was served by an elderly lady who I presume was Mrs Griffin. I was the only one in the bar area and had to ask Mrs Griffin who was having a cup of tea in the adjacent citing room if the pub was open for business. She replied, "Of course sir".

Yes Joanne, you should definitely visit Ireland if you’ve never been.

Yes, you’d love this wee place. Chill with a large Jamesons and when you’re done you can rediscover Dingle town!
@nakedireland time I'm done on the jammeys I'll fit for nothing 😂 😂
yeah, maybe the pub should be at the end of the visit!! 😂
@nakedireland Sounds like a plan 😁
Good luck to all who had a hand in
Presenting this beautiful vision
Including the camera
man. RESPECT
Thank you so much. But it’s such a photogenic place, it wasn’t hard to capture. Cheers for watching.
Lovely! Oh, I wish I could be there...
Summer holidays 2025 maybe?

I don’t know it, but always good to hear about new places, so thanks. And sure, feel free to consult if you decide to come. I’ll do what I can.
@@nakedireland Great! Thanks. Happy New Year!

that’s unusual, in Ireland anyway!

That sounds like a great pub too, though it’s a shame they modernise these places. Thanks for watching.
