After my father's funeral last year, then going home to an empty house. Mum went to bed and I put on the TV on BBC 4 and they were playing videos of old songsters like Andy Williams, Perry Como and Frankie Valli. This song was playing and I remembered how this was Dads favourite and tears came into my eyes again. Miss you Dad.

This song was played at every cheesy 70's wedding I attended as a kid. I couldn't stand it at the time but now I can appreciate Andy Williams artistry. Suit color is amazing as well.

Andy was my absolutely favorite singer as a child. I watched his shows esp at Christmas. My parents asked me what I wanted for my 16th birthday and it was to go see him in concert. I loved it..everyone wanted a car, beach trips, not me..ha I thought he had the kindest eyes and a wonderful voice..RIP Andy..
Maybe, a thousand year later anyone don't remember who you are Andy, but they wouldn't stop crying to hear your voice. R.I.P
A poignant childhood memory is my mum carrying me, my little legs around her waist, her holding one of my arms raised as if we were a couple dancing, and spinning around and singing along to this. A very challenging parent, for whom affection didn't seem to come easily, no doubt due to her wartime upbringing, in that moment her love was sincere.
What a great musical talent. I'm very thankful to have grown up listening to this kind of music.

I LOVE great singers. Andy kicks ass here! He seemed to have cut the song short- I don't think the audience wanted him to stop singing! He had them in the palm of his hand. A time when Hollywood used to have REAL talent.

Privileged to see him live at the Sheffield City Hall a few years back. He still had the voice and was utterley charming. The place was sold out and he got a standing ovation. It just proves to me, that if you stick with someone (who is talented) for long enough, eventually they come back into fashion. Andy is the best.
This guy is a living legend. What a beautiful voice. I never tire of hearing him sing it. Unfortunately I was born too late to have seen this live or his tv show for that matter. I'd rearrange my schedule to watch a show like his!!! Now all we have is a 100+ channels of crap!!! Notice Andy has no gimmick except his beautiful voice. God I missed so much GOOD music.

There will never be another better singer. He poured all of his heart & soul into each song & you can feel it. Have all his Christmas albums. Holy Night & Little Jesus Boy alawys brings tears to my eyes. RIP Andy. No Andy for Christmas, no Dick Clark for New Years. The holidays will never be the same.

The man is a real legend. There are not many. I remember watching these American programs with my mum in the early 70’s( I am talking England here, so maybe Andy was singing on programs in England/ Britain) and it has shaped my life musically. Saying that, my favourite music is jazz and funk, but I have a massive soft spot for these amazing crooners, like Tony Bennett as well. God bless you Andy. If anyone is interested watch the pub/pool scene from the film Deerhunter, to get a feel for this song.
