Yes I think they are great little models, the motors are smoother than the X03/4 having another two poles. I’ve done that sand pipe fix on a couple of other locomotives as well, get it right and they are stronger than the original. Thanks for watching and the nice comment, cheers Rob.
14xx tank engines are designed for push-pull workings, paired with an Auto Coach. You have the right idea with the Collett coach. Every steam engine should have a second chance.
Hi I found them designed by jamesmodelrailway.com and made by shapeways at £9.07 a set. A Google search for airfix 14xx gear will show both sites at the top.
