Each of the members are extremely disciplined. I see no egos or self indulgence. Just talents dispersed as needed. I find it to be humble. And I believe they strike many chords with ppl this way.

This song always does such a great job of conveying the maritime/oceanic vibe they were going for on this album. You can practically see the waves crashing between the calmer moments. Really paints the picture of an unpredictable sea. I think the drummer being on the verge of exploding while stopping just shy of that is actually a big part of creating that imagery
One of the greatest songs by one of the greatest bands.
Side note, Prior to co-founding Sleep Token, II (drummer) was actually in a Deathcore band lol.
Vessel was in a Indie-Alt duo.
III (bassist) was in a Hardcore Punk band, And IV (guitarist) was in a few Hard Rock & Metalcore bands.
With IV, are you talking about SKF or new one? Not familiar with new ones past projects
@@halowars2253 He's someone not super familiar to me either and I don't know his nam for certain, I just met him a couple times on the just finished tour with In This Moment & it's not SKF. As far I I know I can only go by what little I could get from him on the last tour. Cheers!

Honestly, I’ve always thought to myself that if they didn’t have this drummer I’m not sure I’d love their music as much 😭, but dude you should check out “Take Aim” by Sleep Token. It’s definitely a different vibe from them you haven’t heard yet and the drummer has some super clean parts(as per usual though). Underrated ST song imo

the drummer mentioned on instagram that his main influence is gospel, and in churches that use gospel a lot they are more likely to play more fluid improvisations, they are crazy musicians and I love it

They almost have a Disney esque method to musical storytelling, with the consistent way they use instruments to convey the emotions of the conversation that’s being had
You've gone through quite a big chunk of their catalogue. most remaining ones are the much calmer ones and also a few of their first songs. "Levitate" is one song I think might definitely be to your liking though, it's one of the first songs of theirs i've heard because Noah Sebastian from bad omens said it was his favourite sleep token song and also did a cover on it (there's a 1minute vid on youtube if you just search it if you're curious)
This will be our song for our wedding in 2024. Such a beautiful love song

If you are looking forward to some more Twenty One Pilots I would really recommend to react to Heavydirtysoul or My Blood. Heavydirtysoul is a big part in the Lore and also a really great song overall with a lot of power. My Blood has a similar vibe like Ride and The Hype so this is something you probably would want to react to as well
