The Love You Want, Descending, The Way That You Were, When The Bough Breaks, The Offering, Take Aim, Higher, Dark Signs (all of them honestly, every single song)
Each of their songs is a work of art. Vessel knows what he's doing) I highly recommend "Rain", another great song from this album (as well as any of their songs) thank you for your reaction!!
This was the second song I heard from them and it has been my absolute most favorite (with Euclid and High Water creeping in super close) since I first heard it. I *love* it! Great reaction!
😂😂😂 Yeah, we complain when we see a song might be to long, but with Sleep Token it's never long enough 😅. One of my favorite lyrics of this song is "you gave me nothing whatsoever but a reason to leave".... Man, thats probably one of the best ways to describe a couple of bad relationships I've had. Yes, Vessel is a poet for sure. You should check out Chokehold, The Apparition, Rain. Giing further back in their catalog The Offering, Dark Signs, Higher, Sugar, Atlantic, Hypnosis, The Love You Want, Alkaline. They're so good you wont go wrong no matter what you pick. Stay safe. Worship ❤
You’ve heard enough and gotten a taste from bouncing around. Now go back to the beginning and listen to the whole story as Vessel intended. Start with the One and Two EPs. Then go through Sundowning, This Place Will Become Your Tomb and Take Me Back To Eden in their entirety. It’s a long and emotional journey but you won’t regret taking it.
THIS. Once you've gotten a feel for the music, you need to go back to the beginning and listen from start to finish, because Vessel had a plan. There aren't a lot of artists where you need to listen from start to finish, but this is one of them!
sulfur on your breath is the toxic things she says, granite in his chest is his heart made of stone now - it is noteworthy at this point in the journey that sulfur destroys granite
Deftones is their own thing. I don't think they tried to mix a lot of things, they just made music. Chino Moreno's voice was something....different. I don't think I'll ever hear anything quite like that
Love the Sleep Token art in general. But Granite has some atmosphere... something inexplicably attractive about this song.capture my soul. P.s "get ready to receive EARgasm from every song😂" WORSHIP 🤘🖤🔥
3:10 there are def other bands who did rnb vocals/instrumentals with metal/rock before Sleep Token, and specifically with a “core” sound, Issues were a huge one. It’s sort of what turned me away from ST originally because it was being talked about as such a “unique” thing, but it’s actually pretty common in newer melodic metalcore bands, so it sounded like they were just another more generic band to me. I just didn’t know how genuine Vessel’s love for those sounds were, and how they have full rnb/pop songs, not just the mixed ones! That to me proves a real love of/dedication to that sound, that they’re not scared of not being “metal enough”. And their sound has always mixed poppy/rnb influences, from the get go!
Now hold on, if we're going with anybody but Deftones pioneering RnB/metal, it still wasn't Vessel. While he may have mastered it, you should 100% give the band "Issues" a listen if you want RnB/metal done right, and a while ago. If you do give them a listen, I would check out Hooligans, Never Lose Your Flames, and Lost and Found.
“Sulfur on your breath”is actually talking about the other person drinking and or being an alcoholic bc alcohol can cause halitosis which makes your breath smell like well sulfur
Deftones, great band. R&B core? Naw. Chino don’t even sing that way. Lots of ambient vibes, lots of varying textures, ultra hard at times. Definitely original.
Sulfur on the breathe is referring to someone who drinks excessively and their breath gets a smell of rotten eggs (sulfur) because of digestive problems related to excessive use of
“Sulfur on your breath, granite in my chest” I assume that means the other person speaks poisonous words but Vessel’s heart is now made of stone.
Yeah that’s what I took form it also. All the hurtful harmful word have turned him to stone and more to the point his heart.
And also in science, sulfur degrades granite overtime and breaks it apart
@@marcellouspaige5127 now this adds way more layers to it.

You should listen to their whole discography front to back. But for one song, I'd say check out Give

You have to listen to asentionsionism for the r&b kick

Deftones are similar in the “ shoegaze” type choruses , the more sonic sounding parts . Deftones wouldn’t have an r&b vibe imo .
Sulfur destroys granite
Listen to digital bath by deftones for a better idea

Gods is the most similar to deftones
It’s Granit innit. Cos it’s Bri’ish. Innit.
