How true he said you know your time to memorize.. people may advice you to Memorize after/before fajr but it’s really important to know when you are ready for this and after that you have to be strict for it..

Memorizing starts when you finish it. No doubt it's more difficult or say it more important to KEEP the memorization rather to just memorize and then forget. I am just trying to do it my life. I started in last year February and now Alhamdulillah I have done Juz 30, 29 and started 28. It seems easy to me from starting from the end. Please pray for me to complete with understanding of it.
Tips to prepare to learn the Qur’an 1- Fear Allah and quit committing sins We are humans and bound to make mistakes, Allah is oft forgiving, so depend on Allahs Rahmah and Mercy. 2- To have the love for the Qur’an Develop the live for the Qur’an by companionship and respect the Qur’an as the words of Allah Zawajjal 3- Regular recitation of the Qur’an 5/10/ pages or half a juz per day 4- Tajweed Have a teacher to help, highly recommended to recite with tajweed. 5- Learn the language of the Qur’an A few words/ day 6- Create Time Find the best time for you to memorise, but when you choose your time fix it. Can’t memorise of spare time Learn the most common words of the Qur’an 7- Choose a good place for the memorisation A place with less distractions Somewhere quiet with less distractions. 8- Have a Qur’an buddy! Somebody who could help you and keep you on tract! Encouragement 9- Write what you will be memorising As you write you repeat the words and it sticks, so it’s better for you. I've got a 3 ways to help me memorize despite my laziness. I focus on one verse at a time (or 2 depending on length) I re-read it during 1. During the day. 2. In volentary prayers. 3. Before sleep It helps but I'm open to suggestions
I read about 5 pages with meaning of each word, trying to understand Quranic language of each ayah, then I read those 5 pages again and again with meaning, and then I memorize them one by one, Then I read 5 new pages with meaning, and keep reading them for some days, then memorize them, and keep reading previous 5 paged as well, and so in. and during that time, I keep revising older surah i memorized.

Quit the sins as much as you can. #2 5:00 As an adult if you want to memorize the Quran, you must love for the Quran #3 5:47 Must have daily connection and recitation of the Quran #4 Tajweed. Have a mentor and teacher. Its not mandatory to recite it perfectly but highly recommended. #5 Learn the language of the Quran. Not cultural Arabic or spoken Arabic necessarily but the Arabic of the Quran. #6 Have to make time for it and set aside time for it. You know the best time for yourself. FIX the time. You can't memorize in your spare time. Set time for it. #7 Choose a good place for the memorization of the Quran. Choose a place that is quiet and with less distractions. #8 Have a Quran buddy. #9 Write the verses that you are memorizing. Writing them helps you memorize. You can shred the papers when you are done #10 12:47 Make dua to Allah to help you memorize the Quran SEGMENT 2 - Start with short Surahs so you get encouragement seeing progress. - Start with surahs that you are familiar with. - Once you have momentum, you can start from the beginning. - Then start memorizing chunks and 1 ayah at a time. A lot of repetition. You can start repeating the ayah 20 times. Repeat 20 times by heart without a mistake and then move onto the next ayah. Once you memorize 1 ayah, repeat it together with the previous one so that you can connect them together. - As you memorize, you need to have 1 day a week that is ONLY for revision and you only rehearse what you already practiced. - Must set a regular daily time.

I've got a 3 ways to help me memorize despite my laziness. I focus on one verse at a time (or 2 depending on length) I re-read it during 1. During the day. 2. In volentary prayers. 3. Before sleep
It helps but I'm open to suggestions
For me, knowing the meaning of the ayah helped to put ayah together and made it easier alhamdulillah!

I read about 5 pages with meaning of each word, trying to understand Quranic language of each ayah, then I read those 5 pages again and again with meaning, and then I memorize them one by one,
Then I read 5 new pages with meaning, and keep reading them for some days, then memorize them, and keep reading previous 5 paged as well, and so in.
and during that time, I keep revising older surah i memorized.
Please pray for me, i just started learning qaeeda and wanted to memorize it.

Is it normal, that I memorize a page well, and it needs then like one week or more till I really can recite this page without any problems or gaps? I memorize a page, and one or two days after that, I have many gaps.
Yep its normal, it normally takes until I can review the whole juz before all the pages become really strong
my ustadha Dr Farhat Hashmi has her daughter Asma reciting on her utube channel and also my tajweed teacher Sr Ambreen also recites in all ustadhas clesses,There is a hifdh programme for sisters by Sr Asma on Dr Farhat Hashmis channel

How to Memorize the Quran Properly. How do we do that?
SEGMENT 1 - How to prepare before you start the process to memorize the Quran
#1 Establish Taqwa of Allah. Quit the sins as much as you can.
#2 5:00 As an adult if you want to memorize the Quran, you must love for the Quran
#3 5:47 Must have daily connection and recitation of the Quran
#4 Tajweed. Have a mentor and teacher. Its not mandatory to recite it perfectly but highly recommended.
#5 Learn the language of the Quran. Not cultural Arabic or spoken Arabic necessarily but the Arabic of the Quran.
#6 Have to make time for it and set aside time for it. You know the best time for yourself. FIX the time. You can't memorize in your spare time. Set time for it.
#7 Choose a good place for the memorization of the Quran. Choose a place that is quiet and with less distractions.
#8 Have a Quran buddy.
#9 Write the verses that you are memorizing. Writing them helps you memorize. You can shred the papers when you are done
#10 12:47 Make dua to Allah to help you memorize the Quran
SEGMENT 2
- Start with short Surahs so you get encouragement seeing progress.
- Start with surahs that you are familiar with.
- Once you have momentum, you can start from the beginning.
- Then start memorizing chunks and 1 ayah at a time. A lot of repetition. You can start repeating the ayah 20 times. Repeat 20 times by heart without a mistake and then move onto the next ayah. Once you memorize 1 ayah, repeat it together with the previous one so that you can connect them together.
- As you memorize, you need to have 1 day a week that is ONLY for revision and you only rehearse what you already practiced.
- Must set a regular daily time.

A) Do you have a school where I could enroll and start my Quran memorization journey with you? I live in New York.
B) Is it not too late to start at the age of 42? I don't want to accept that it's too late.

To me memorizing the word of Allah is a very huge privilege and I am starting now I am 43 it us never too late to come closer to your Lord know that brother.
I don’t know if you will see this now , I see the comment is a year old . May Allah make it easy for you. I started at the age of 45, 2 years back. I wasn’t regular but still I managed to finish 5 juz now. After listening to this I have made up my mind to be more systematic insha Allah
