If it has the magnetic rails for the joycons, it could be something with that. Like the Switch Magnetik, or Magnesis based on BOTW or Switch Mx (magnetics, a play on Dx for deluxe). But I’m also hoping for Super Nintendo Switch.
They have mostly added “Super” onto systems, with the exceptions being Gameboy Color/Advance/Advance SP, Wii U, Nintendo DS Lite/DSi/3DS. So, it’s either Super or something we can’t think of based on the gimmick of the new system.

I think it's a good point that Nintendo probably won't call it "Switch 2," so they can continue selling the predecessor model. The thing I’m curious about is how they will make it clear to most buyers that the new system is different from the original Switch. In my mind, it should have some feature to set it apart (like with the DS to 3DS), or many buyers might confuse it with just another update of the console. Also, there are lots of handhelds on the market right now that already offer good performance. I just hope Nintendo has some kind of ace up their sleeve.
I genuinely wish they'd name it Switch 2. People rarely talk about it, but I've always believed naming is a big reason Playstation is so successful. You don't need to spend any time or money reselling or educating consumers on your new console. Even general, unaware people can count. If PS3 has been the console for 8 years and a random person walks into a store & sees "Playstation 4," they can instantly piece together "oh, that's the newest Playstation!" One look & they will assume newer, more powerful, updated hardware with no advertising needed. With Nintendo, they have to start all over again every time & re-explain things to consumers. Sometimes it works, sometimes it's the Wii U. And lord knows Xbox is killing themselves with their naming. What general consumer is going to know the difference between Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, etc. etc. etc?

I think nintendo could give it a name that I s so unique and stands out that we will at first think is weird and a name that we would not think of. Much like how we first found out that it was no loner the nintendo Revolution but rather it was renamed Wii. I think Nintendo could very well pull something like that again.
I don't think it should have Switch in the title at all. My theory is that the console will have a VR mode, so it could be called the Nintendo HalfDepth which is cool because it'd be abbreviated as Nintendo HD, and it'll be the highest quality Nintendo console yet.
Let me be incredibly clear here. The wii u bombed because when kids went to their parents about a Wii U, They got "we already have a Wii at home!". What you are suggesting, is that instead Of WiiU, (Which is bad) you call it Wii2??? Please, Look at the Sonic Movie sales, then compare it to Sonic 2, then come back with an ACTUALLY GOOD name. For a start, name it "switch ____". having something that brands the new gimmick of the new switch. Like. (From sources of magenetic joy cons) Switch Magna (Which is also latin for "great") It references the Gimmick of the New system, whilst also labeling it as a successor. It's also immediately obvious that its hinting towards the magnet design of the joy cons
Super Switch is worth an extra $20-$30 just for nostalgia. It’s the Nintendo SS, like super sport camero too which sounds so sooped up! Having SNES style flares would be cool too although I really don’t like the purple and never did. I only like it cause it’s the most impactful system on my childhood and such an amazing time in gaming history. But maybe a joy con throw back to SNES theme and the doc coordinates but isn’t purple
"Super Nintendo Switch" is too much of a mouthful. "Super Switch" is better but the abbreviation would "SS" (yikes). "Nintendo Super Switch" would actually work but the problem with calling a new console an improved version of an old one is that the old one is no longer relevant. Imagine being someone who got the "NSS" as their first ever console. Wouldn't they potentially feel cheated out of having something brand new instead? I personally don't see much chance of Nintendo re-using the "Switch" moniker despite the hardware. Less fresh can mean less enticing.
I've been saying it'll be called "new" Nintendo Switch, mainly for the reason they didnt call the smaller Switch the Switch mini, they went with the Lite name like the DS Lite. And they seem to like reusing these names so they could potentially call it that, but hopefully it'll get a cooler name. We'll have to wait and see. 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Switch 2.PERIOD. Its just dumb to confuse the market for the sake of sounding " edgy". Even the 3DS was a victim of that for the sake of being edgy thing. A large portion of the DS install base thought it was just the DS with 3D especially during its early years. And dont get me started with colossal failure of the Wii U branding. People thought it was just a wii controller. If u want the Switch 2 to be as successful as the PS2 name it like that. Treat the Switch as the PS1! If u want to name it Super Switch, Switch Pro, etc. expect 3DS sales numbers!
"its much easier to just say Switch 2 than it is to say 'unnamed next generation Nintendo Switch successor" starting with an exaggerated strawman, lol. You could just say "Next Nintendo Console" or even simpler "Switch successor" I mean really, LOL. also, @2:32 "As thats basically the biggest issue that ran into the Wii U, as they called it the Wii U and we just had the normal Wii" No, that wasn't the biggest reason. The biggest reason was that the Wii U had barely any games from Nintendo for the first 2 years on the market, until Mario Kart 8 released there was basically no must have games for it, for their target audience. It had no marketing for the first year, they released it then basically when quiet. It was also (perceptionally) not much more powerful than the current home consoles at the time Xbox 360 and Ps3. It was also more expensive, and in some cases games actually ran worse. They also failed to make compelling use of the gamepad. The OS was also incredibly slow when it first launched. There were issue with updating it aswell for alot of people, as you couldn't use the Ethernet adapter before updating the console for the first time, which on wifi at the time could take ages. They could have called it Wii 2 and it wouldn't have made any difference if they did the same things of not releasing any games, not marketing it and not making compelling use of its key feature, being overpriced and underpowered. With PS4 and Xbox One on the horizon, this also didn't help Wii U.
I like Nintendo Switch 2, but it makes sense that Nintendo won't call it that. So my guess is the name may be Nintendo Super Switch instead of Super Nintendo Switch. Why? Because they already used the name Super Nintendo. So a simple switch on that word play makes sense to me. Nintendo Super Switch or The Nintendo Super Switch or Super Switch or NSS…see the name works in many different ways, and won't infringe on the original Super Nintendo name or the Super NES.
I don't believe that Nintendo's next console is Nintendo Switch 2 because it's a ridiculous name and Nintendo haven't used numbers on their consoles name after 3DS and 2DS so here's my toughts what I believe the Switch 2 name is: Nintendo Switch Advance, Nintendo Switch Attach, Super Nintendo Switch, New Nintendo Switch XL or even Nintendo Switch U okay that was a bad joke, but what if it's the Switch U who knows? Super Nintendo Switch sounds nice imo
I'm all in on it being called the Switch Up. I've been saying it since day 1, and it feels very Nintendo
It depends on what it does. Switch 2 implies there will be a Switch 3, 4. Idt that works
The name "Nintendo Switch Switch" sounds 🔥
The Nintendo Switch it - and the word “it” in the logo design will resemble a roman number 2
i like Nintendo Switch 4k, Nintendo Switch Ultra/Switch Ultra, and Nintendo Switch+ those all sound good to me
I think they should call it “Switch Up”. An upgrade to the original. I said it here first
If it's called the switch 2, i expect it to have 2 screens.
What about switch evolution?! Every feature gets a bump! screen, controllers, battery!! Etc etc.. familiar but an up grade in every way!!!
But maybe a joy con throw back to SNES theme and the doc coordinates but isn’t purple
i think we need to go back to bits and call it the nintendo switch 64
well, Nintendo had 63 previous versions before N64
I'd like it to be named the Super Nintendo Switch, but I think it could also be named the Nintendo Attach.
Switch 2 would be best, but its Nintendo and they already told us the name...
Switch Next
They will call it the Nintendo Switch Kimochi, and they go hard into the HD Rumble feature to attract more female players.
I wish its going to be switch advance with them just calling it nintendo advance over time
Super Nintendo Switch. Has to be. Better way to explain it to others.
If it is Super Nintendo Switch I will just buy it first day
I’d like it to be called the Super Nintendo Switch because it harkens back to the SNES
Calling it the Switch 2 would be the best
Switch 2.PERIOD.
Its just dumb to confuse the market for the sake of sounding " edgy". Even the 3DS was a victim of that for the sake of being edgy thing. A large portion of the DS install base thought it was just the DS with 3D especially during its early years. And dont get me started with colossal failure of the Wii U branding. People thought it was just a wii controller.
If u want the Switch 2 to be as successful as the PS2 name it like that. Treat the Switch as the PS1! If u want to name it Super Switch, Switch Pro, etc. expect 3DS sales numbers!
I think if they get rid of switch they'll call it nintendo wave cause it'll have 5g capabilities and 5g travels on a wave length
"its much easier to just say Switch 2 than it is to say 'unnamed next generation Nintendo Switch successor"
starting with an exaggerated strawman, lol. You could just say "Next Nintendo Console" or even simpler "Switch successor"
I mean really, LOL.
also, @2:32 "As thats basically the biggest issue that ran into the Wii U, as they called it the Wii U and we just had the normal Wii" No, that wasn't the biggest reason.
The name Super Nintendo Switch will be incredible awesome name.
Super Nintendo Switch, and we'll just call it the Super Switch
It won't have the word "switch" in it.
There is no way.
bro its not gonna be called the same trust thats not how nintendo roll
Nintendo switch attach cause you have the power of magnets in your hands!
New Nintendo Switch + XL
I don't believe that Nintendo's next console is Nintendo Switch 2 because it's a ridiculous name and Nintendo haven't used numbers on their consoles name after 3DS and 2DS so here's my toughts what I believe the Switch 2 name is: Nintendo Switch Advance, Nintendo Switch Attach, Super Nintendo Switch, New Nintendo Switch XL or even Nintendo Switch U okay that was a bad joke, but what if it's the Switch U who knows? But defienitily I hope the Switch 2 name Nintendo Switch Advance or Super Nintendo Switch we haven't been that near of the reveal of the Switch 2, but I still believe it's in next year 2025 not in this september, but it would be so AWESOME to see the Switch 2 reveal trailer in this september my birthmonth i'm so excited: Here we GOO WAHOO! 😊❤

supposedly the switch 2 should have a name that it's called nintendo attach it's just rumors I think we'll probably only see if it's true in the presentation or when Nintendo does it in person
Switch 2 or Super Nintendo Switch
The name is megatron
Its going to be the "Nintendo SwitchFold"
Nintendo NOW,or something similar.
The Super Nintendo Switch since it will have 4k which is “Super”
Super Nintendo Switch is by far the best name!!!!
Its either switch + or super switch
Should call it switched up
It will obviously be called the NY or NX2
I predict Nintendo Ultra Switch
The Nintendo Split.
