I have followed you for several years now and have made many of these fabric baskets, all colors and designs. You are such a wonderful instructor and I just love hearing your accent. Keep up the good work, I so admire you.
oh, that is Wonderful! I am glad you are sewing and enjoying it :) thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, it is always nice to here from viewers :) have a wonderful and happy sewing :)
Thank you for such clear and thorough process explanation. I've watched a couple of others and yours is simple and very effective. Now happily making baskets for Christmas gifts!
I saw another bag online that had a tutorial and said to read the pattern, then watch the video to have a clearer idea of making the bag, I loved it, but your video was better, I just don't want to watch the video so many times to the bag, I will watch one more time and try to take notes.. I loved your bag!
I like using a method that attaches the lining to the bottom of the bag because my linings always end up sitting loosely inside. I tend to make my linings a little bit smaller so they fit more smoothly. Good tutorial for beginners. 😁👍💕
Hi Liz Bee, is there a tutorial that show how to attach the lining to the bottom, I would like to try but haven’t found any instructions that use that approach Thanks
Best tutorial for these baskets I’ve seen. I’m glad I stumbled upon it, and am looking forward to watching all your other videos. As a bit of a perfectionist I love all your attention to detail. I’m going to do all the prep tomorrow and takes this to my social sewing group on Friday. Thank you. ❤
Another great tutorial, very easy to follow. I’ve made nine of these now for various rooms in my house, and added a pom pom trim on two of them…thanks for sharing!😊
I have watched this three times! You are a great instructor. I am a beginner and made my first one today and embroidered it! I wish I could add a photo!
Love your basket. I’ve seen a couple of examples of these and love them all. Love that you have your turning point on the side of the bag rather then the top. Really makes for a neater bag.
Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment; your time is appreciated...' till next time, happy sewing and crafting ❤✂🪡🧵🧶
That was really good, I like that you emphasise the backstitching because many youtubers dont do that and it is really important. I have subscribed so I can watch some of the other things you have done ....thanks !!
So fun to be back in the sewing room with you again. I am still behind, but sewing and listening to you teach it is wonderful having a friend in the sewing room again.
Welcome back! thanks for stopping...i am so glad that you are back in your sewing room :) and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial...we are now uploading every 2 weeks :) on a Wednesday, so keep an eye out :) thanks for taking the time to watch and be part of the channel :) till next time happy sewing :)

This is a wonder full tutorial. You are a fantastic teacher. I will be making this basket with my 2 granddaughters soon for their first sewing project. Thank you again. I look forward to seeing more of your tutorials and creations. 🥰
I love your quick projects & seeing your smiling face Nicole. I need to make a bunch of these in different sizes. Thanks for sharing your creative talent. 😉
That is awesome! Oh that would be wonderful if you got a sewing machine...if you have any questions at all or would like to see something particular on the channel let me know and I can always do up a tutorial for you :) ...but I am sure you will find plenty to keep you going for a while :) thanks for taking the time to watch and be part of the channel :) till next time happy sewing :)
You are an excellent teacher! Thank you for your clarity and style. I want to teach this project to a sewing group, beginners to experienced, so things can't be too complicated and it's nice if the project can be completed during our alloted time.
you're very inspiring, thanks for the great video.. will be making this straight after supper!! I'm going to use mine for holding my k-cups on my kitchen shelf!! cheers!
You can make them in bigger sizes, adjust your length of starting fabrics, and may l suggest you use foam interfacing if you go bigger; l have a pattern for larger sizes with handles in three dimensions. You can find it here www.darvanaleedesignsstudio.com/product-page/dds-storage-cubes-with-handles Thank you for watching and taking the time to watch and leave a comment...have a wonderful day and happy sewing. ❤😊❤
I absolutely love your videos. Easiest basket to make just by watching. I have a question, do you put your needle in the center or all the way to the right when guiding with the pressure foot? Thank you. ❤
Back into following this excellent simple tutorial, basket's always look so nice. Red Gingham sits lovely inside granddaughters new trike wicker basket . Thank you
Hi Thank you so much for this tutorial, so easy to follow and concise. I have made my first basket but found when I turned it the right way out my stiffener went wrinkly. Have I used the wrong thing? The one I have is quite stiff and the basket stands up beautifully but wrinkly.
Hi Wanda, Yes you can, but I find this way gives you a better and more professional finish...you can also top-stitch the the opening in the lining if you are just making it for yourself :) thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment I appreciate you being part of the channel :) till Next time happy sewing :)
there you go...you've done it. You have tempted me into getting my sewing machine out his weekend and see if I can manage to sew in a straight line as a start 😂😍 Thanks for showing us how to do this basket 💕
Hey there gorgeous lady, haven't been on social media much myself lately...we are still on summer break here only one week to go and they are all off to school... thanks for taking the time to watch and be part of the channel :) till next time happy sewing :)
Thank you for this video. You inspired me to make a basket (easily) and so gratifying to give to my girls with goodies in it for Halloween. They will love the basket more than the candy. :) thank you! ❤️
Yes, a hot iron can cause all sorts of issues for interfacing...I always use a warm iron...it may take a little longer, but better than it getting ripples in your project :) thanks for taking the time to watch and be part of the channel :) till next time happy sewing :)
you can, but it may not have the same finish like the one in the video...I find when I use batting it does not sand up as well...but it is up to you :)
Hi. I made one of your basket/bags and it came out great. I have one question... You said if the fabric you ironed isn't flat you run your clapper over it. Sorry but I'm from the Midwest in the US and I have no idea what a clapper is. 🙄😄
A tailors clapper sets seams and creates pleats and folds...but l use it as an ironing tool as well.. l hope this helps...l will have a link so you can see what it looks like amzn.to/2QqDRPb
I got them ages ago off Aliexpress...but they seem not to be doing them any more...they were super easy to deal with too...just sent a picture of what l wanted....so maybe do a search and see what comes up....l purchased a couple thousand at the time 😊 thank you for watching ❤

So much fun! Just don’t do like I did and pick an outer fabric with a repeating image- it’ll be upside down on one side- oops!
Also love the tip for trimming down the seams. It does sit much nicer. Thanks for your great tutorial.

Thank you, great video!
thank you :)
Nice tutorial! If I make a bigger basket, do I use the same 1 1/2 square at the bottom corners or do I make that bigger as well?
I was told you need to change the square size depending on the size of the bag.
Just wondering if you could leave your little pull through space at the top and then close it with your top stitch,
Hi Wanda, Yes you can, but I find this way gives you a better and more professional finish...you can also top-stitch the the opening in the lining if you are just making it for yourself :) thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment I appreciate you being part of the channel :) till Next time happy sewing :)

I always cut anything fusible about 1/2" smaller all the way around so I don't have to worry about it sticking out.
Really like this tutorial. Could you share with me where you get your little tags?? Thank you so much for a great video.

I get mine from Dutch Label shop.
Could I make a bigger basket? What’s the largest you have made? Do you have measurements?
What size fabric did you start with? Maybe I missed it. What size did the basket end up being given the 1 1/2inch fold at the top?
3.37 the measurements are mentioned there...your finished basket will be approximately 5.5inchs to 6inches in height
Thank you
