Great video, Have a great time at your retreat. The possibilities are endless. Need to make some for Greyson’s room. Thank you for sharing. Tell the Engineer his comment was so sweet.
Great gift idea indeed. Thank you oh so much for sharing your talent with me. Have a wonderful crafty sort of day. Take care see you soon on TH-cam!!!!
I sometimes increase my seam allowance on my linings to adjust the bulk of the outer fabric. I just increase by an 1/8th inch on my side seams, and sometimes the bottom, depending on how thick the outer pieces are.😊
I was just making a basket for my mom. I’m going to use your method so I can use a directional fabric. Observations from an engineer: 1) On the smaller basket, I would’ve cut an inch off the top and adjust the corner cut to 2.5 if needed. It would make it proportional. That’s me-an engineer and not an artist. 2) You mark down 2” and connect the dots. Can’t you use the 2” mark on n the length of the ruler and save a step? Not picking, I’m seriously asking. Another great video. I love The Engineer’s comments and the support he gives you.
Good morning . . . Here's a suggestion for you to get a 'crisp' corner when using foam. ** before you sew on the decorative strip (optional step), but after sewing the 1st side seam - top stitch at all 4 corners, a straight line from the top edge (@ 90deg) to the inside corner of each corner cut-out. This places a permanent fold line where you want it. 😊get
Enjoy relaxing! I enjoy your videos. Thx for teaching us. Oh, and thanks for getting April to appreciate the need for a good pressing!! I laugh every time I hear her refer to you as her “reason to iron!” 😂
Inspired by your videos... when I putting together a bath related advent calendar for our pregnant daughter - I decided to make one of your fabric baskets in which to put all the goodies. I chose fabrics with the baby in mind (so they can use it for their wee daughter's room) and I'm LOVING the result. I can hardly wait to pack it all up and pop it in the mail. Thanks once again for your excellent instruction.
That’s wonderful Hilary 😁❣️ And congratulations on having a grand on the way. The basket will hold diapers, powders, baby clothes you’re right, she’ll love it😊❤️🐥
Okay sweetheart thank you for showing us to do the lovely baskets just absolutely gorgeous. ❤.... (Love your personality). Makes it so more enjoyable....😘 ...it's like we're there.🙂.... Keep them coming ....from Southwest Louisiana.😇
Great video. You made it very easy to follow along. I like the idea of using a set of baskets as a gift. I see some Christmas sewing in my future. Thank you.
I love watching your videos! I take a larger seam in my lining and the lining seems to fit more snug. I want to make some of these baskets also because I have a lot of fat quarters too. Enjoy your retreat and thank you for your tips. I love the little chick at the beginning. God Bless.
New subscriber here, ❤Beautiful baskets, I am sure your friend will love them. My grand daughter just purchased her first house and she is only 21 and I think she would love these. Thanks sooooo much for the pattern!

Love the fabric with the sunflowers and bees. I see some boxes in my future. Thank you for another wonderful tutorial, you do such a great job with your instructions. Take care!
I have a friend who is a minimalist and a sewer and quilter. I think this might be o.k. for her ( style)... She likes unicorns so I will make them out of that fabric 2 different styles and bright liners. Thank you, love your channel.❤

This tutorial and pattern came at the perfect time, Thank you so much! My niece is having her bridal shower in two weeks and this will be the perfect gift!!!
Fabulous baskets, love this! I remember being about 10 learning to iron from my mom too. She had me iron dad’s T-shirts, slacks, and hankies. I remember her ironing the bed sheets, no permanent press in the 60’s.
Yeah- the days before permanent press. I was an ironing assistant as a kid, too! lol Grandma paid us to iron PaPa’s shirts. It’s a useful skill. Glad I was taught!
Putting side handles would also add to it and it's useable. If you make your lining 1/2" smaller it makes a huge difference. Beautiful job well done.... Barb near Tombstone, AZ
