Having read the Silmarillion and the fall of Gondolin, I hope they're able to update this siege map more in the future and give it a better feel like all the artwork of Gondolin we see, also if there's ever a campaign map they should have a battle map right in the mountains around the city where the 7 gates are.
Agreed,but after Turgon decided not to evacuate the city in response to the warning he was given, I think he had all the gates and the actual entrance into Gondolin bricked up.
Ecthelion headbutted Gothmog into a fountain. Reasonable people can differ if the spike in his helmet did the thing or if they both drowned. Glorfindel killed an unnamed Balrog in the mountains, as the refugees were fleeing from Gondolin. Then he got his flowing locks grabbed and pulled with the Balrog off the path and into the rocks below. Long flowing hair is bad in combat, almost the same as superheroes with capes...
Actually Feanor knew when he was dying that they's never be able to breach Angband,but he didn't have the time to inform his sons of this fact. Either that or he didn't chose to.
