  • I am just giving a brief overview of the UK Pre-registration process which OSPAP students may find interesting. As mentioned in the video, the most important thing is applying on time. If you work with a reasonable timeline, it makes a difference especially as a Non-EEA OSPAP applicant. If you have any questions, leave them in the comment box. I plan to make another FAQ video There are links below as promised.

    Do u think becoming a uk pharmacist is a good option do they pay us well??
    Kindly reply

      Thanks for your lovely comment and I am glad you enjoy watching my videos. I think the pay for a UK pharmacist is okay; I would not say it is the best but it depends on what sector and what part of the UK you work in. The great thing though is you can always get extra income by doing locum shifts or extra shifts.

    I have a doubt here. You said that application for pre reg should be done this june if we are to do the ospap this sep. So, are those 3 tests you mentioned happening this year or next year? Had this doubt cuz you said you can choose the test centre nearby for convenience.
    Also thank you so much for this video🙏🙌. Couldn’t find such detailed information regarding this anywhere. Now i have an idea about the procedures😄

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the three tests normally would be taken the year you apply so for example, if you intend to study for OSPAP this September, you should have your preg-reg place sorted this same year ideally before you start the OSPAP as everything has to be done a year in advance. The three tests will also happen the same year (so 2021 for example). I hope this clarifies your doubt. Of course with the current pandemic, I am not sure how the tests are done , perhaps they are done remotely or postponed. It may be best to email the Oriel systems. Good luck.

    Please I have a question, The MMI, Situational and Numeracy test are they pharmacy based best? Or is it a general test for all medical professionals? Also any idea how one can prepare for these tests? Secondly I find the fact that one has to register for the Oriel before the actual Ospap program kind of disadvantageous because prospective students who are yet to be in The UK( cos obviously by June one wouldn't even have had visas nor be sure of exactly where to stay) wouldn't have any idea which hospital or province will be best, pay better, have better pass rate etc. I mean if we've already started the Ospap program and have had time to interact with other students and locals, we'll be able to make better informed decisions. Thirdly during the one year internship any breaks I mean like a leave or you have to work that 52 weeks. Thanks so much!

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello and see my response below:
      1. I did not do any of these tests in my own time as mentioned in the video so I am not sure of the entire content but I believe the numeracy test definitely features pharmacy based calculations. There may be other videos describing what is to be expected with Oriel tests.
      2. I totally get you regarding having to apply for pre-registration before commencing OSPAP. It’s just the way the system is designed and if one does their research way before commencing OSPAP then they may not miss that information but it really can be saddening for international students. With regards to pay, if it is an NHS job in the hospital, it is usually the same pay/band regardless of location except of course in London when you are paid higher (called high cost allowance). With regards to pass rate, you can find that information online but it’s mainly about the schools rather than training providers.
      3. If you do the pre-reg in a hospital (NHS), you would be entitled to annual leave including bank holidays.
      You are welcome.

      Hello and thanks for your question. I believe I have already answered via IG. You would have to take either the IELTS or OET exam to enable you submit your documents for GPHC approval for undertaking OSPAP.

    Hi...really a great job..very informative.I have a doubt here.It would be of great help if you could help me with it. The page number 8 of oriel handbooks says that OSPAP pg diploma students will not be eligible for tier 2 visa. My wife is aiming to join OSPAP course. Could you please spread some light on that area, as to which OSPAP she should be joining if she has to get tier 2 visa for the pre- reg programme. Thanks in advance.

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello and thanks for watching. Yes, the Oriel handbook is correct. If your wife intends to switch your student visa (Tier 4) to a working visa (Tier 2 and the new Post Study work visa), she needs to select the M.Sc version because the PG Dip version would not allow her change her visa to a work visa while in the UK. Instead, she and any of her dependants have to go back to their home country and apply to get a work visa to enable her compete her pre-reg. She will end up wasting money and time as opposed to choosing the M.Sc version which allows one to switch to a working visa in the UK. You can join your wife for OSPAP when she has a student visa (Tier 4) and also join when she has a working visa. Hope this is helpful. Good luck.

    what will be the salary of a registered pharmacist in uk?

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on what sector of pharmacy and what part of UK you live in. London and environs get paid higher but the cost of living in London is very high
