    Another nice video.
    I got mt GPhC decision letter and it was successful, but i cant resume till next year because all admission is closed.
    As regards the pgdip, i will take my chances and do that because it cheaper and like i said, i already did a masters.
    Getting an immigration lawyer is expensive and that fund at the end would equate for the Msc at end of the day. i would just hope for the post graduate visa route. Also, i hear those that do the Msc can not finish school in time for the internship or pre- reg how true is that?
    Thanks pharm

      I am so glad that you are making progress with your application for OSPAP and I hope all your plans work out in your favour. I agree that immigration lawyers are expensive but if it is just for an enquiry as opposed to an actual application using their services, I think it may be cheaper. The difference between PG Dip and M.Sc is usually £2000 and above and I believe making an enquiry with immigration lawyers should be cheaper. However, I would advise reaching out to your University to tell them of your unique situation and seek their advice if any because they may have had students in the past with similar situations. You can also check with the UK Visa helpline for further advice. I am also hoping that they bring out the Post Study Work visa as well. People who do the M.Sc version of the OSPAP, I believe usually finish in June alongside other PG Dip students but they have their project which may go into September (some people finish in August). It just means that you start the pre-reg in September or October which is just a month or so after other pre-regs and the GPHC exam is taken in September. This is just a theory but I can find out from friends and get back to you. I think it may also be best to discuss these two options with your University (as universities differ in their timeline). I hope this was helpful and I am sure whatever choice you choose after doing your research will be the best one.

    Hiiiii..tonnes of thanks to you for answering my question in ur vdo...I am the one who asked about MPH.. Actually I feel like telling everything very frankly to u..As I have told u ..I have completed my 4 yr bachelor's degree in pharmacy and currently doing Masters in Pharmacy specialising in pharmacy practice (2nd yr now)..bcoz of excess desire ..I wished to do PhD in pharmacy practice...but after my enquiry, I realised that, as I am an international student it will be very hard to get through..😔...so I changed my plan to do OPAP there..but the mandatory thing is IELTS ..the problem is IELTS might not be a very big deal for me ...the thing is...I am really very much busy and very much exhausted with my PG reasearch works ... assignments..others classes ... practicals...all those stuffs..due to unfortunate COVID pandemic I m in my hometown.. offline classes are stopped.. everything online only now..most probably my offline classes will be commencing next month ..if God wills......that time I will be on great burden of my practical works......my course will get over by July 2021.. that means I will not be getting a proper time to prepare for IELTS and also attend the exam...I don't thing so I can acquire the very necessary English entry criteria for OSPAP within that time span...as I am planning for September 2021.. that's why I again changed my plan to do masters in any of the health related courses in UK without ielts (I have 95% marks in 12 th class English)..When I searched for MSc in clinical pharmacy course.. its very expensive... moreover I am not finding good scholarship options also.. so I found about MPH .....I want to be just there in UK.....,😑....I don't want to loose my Pharmacy profession.. moreover the only reason behind taking Pharmacy practice for my M pharm is to become a clinical pharmacist.....I am really passionate in that..But I know I can't be pharmacist there without doing OSPAP....My doubt now is. What is the scope of MSc in clinical pharmacy???? I found that course in university of Huddersfield..with hospital placement...if u know just tell me about Msc in clinical pharmacy with hospital/ community placement..... Or please suggest me some best options.....I hope you understand my feelings 😔😔😔😔😔....VERY HEART FELT SORRY FOR THIS LONG TEXT....

      Awww thanks so much for the explanation and I can totally where you are coming from. Doing an M.Sc in Clinical Pharmacy sounds great as it can show you how being a clinical pharmacist in the UK can be however it would be best done and more applicable when you become a UK pharmacist but I understand the difficulties. Even though the course may have hospital placement, it may be short and you won't be able to practice to the maximum as a clinical pharmacist. You know that just completing your OSPAP and working in the hospital would make you a clinical pharmacist and you will get the same experience and more. My best advice will be to be patient, complete the current course you are undertaking, pass your IELTS and commence OSPAP with an aim of working in either a hospital or a GP practice. I hope this is helpful. I may do a video talking about what being a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting means. Do take care..xx

      @@Fashstyleliv Please what's a GP practice? Is it like a small clinic with just one doc and few nurses? Also can one do pre reg there and afterwards work permanently. Do you advise it? Thanks!

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@terosejemineh8425 GP practices are where people in the community go to see a doctor as well as nurses, midwives, etc. Some GP practices offer more services so it all depends on various factors. You can check google or the NHS website for more info. Yes, people can do their pre reg there; check Oriel system website and the GPHC website for more details. You can also work there permanently when you become a UK pharmacist.

      @@Fashstyleliv So what's the difference between GP and NHS? Isn't the GP under NHS? That's my confusion. Cos I see some ppl say I'm working in a GP, some say NHS!

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@terosejemineh8425 I would suggest familiarising yourself with the UK healthcare system as it would help you when you commence your OSPAP. The NHS is the entire UK healthcare system and the GP (General Practitioner; similar to a Family Doctor) is part of the NHS. They are several strands of the NHS- hospitals, GP Practices, etc.

    I just found out your channel and was happy to find so many unanswered questions of mine❤️ I'm a pharm D grad from India planning to apply for sep 2021 intake.
    Could you please brief out the differences of career as a hospital/clinical pharmacist vs community pharmacist. I wonder why everybody prefer working as a community pharmacist, or isn't my assumption true actually 😀

    • @Fashstyleliv
      @Fashstyleliv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for your kind comments and I am glad my videos are helpful. The difference between being a hospital pharmacist and community pharmacist lies mainly in the application of clinical knowledge and working closely with a wider team. I may do a video on this but I do think both sectors are great. It is slightly more difficult to get into hospital because you are expected to have a great clinical knowledge. Community Pharmacy jobs are relatively easier to get into compared to hospital. I may do a video on this topic along the line to help people make choices but the great thing is you can work in either sectors and switch at any time so it is not a problem at all.

    Hii. I’m currently in 500lvl in Nigeria. My question is with the MSc. OSPAP, can i go on to my phd later? In let’s say biotech or should i just go for msc biotech. I’m trying to kill 2 birds with one stone here by making my degree relevant in the UK and having a master’s degree for my dream in biotech.

      Hello and thanks for watching. I don't know of anyone who has done an OSPAP M.Sc and moved into a PHD but I think all things are possible. If your heart is in Biotech, I would say follow your dream. Just my personal opinion.

      @Fashstyleliv  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching. If you are able to show that you have kept practicing as a Pharmacist you can apply although GPHC will decide on eligibility. I would advise emailing the GPHC (their email is on their website) and asking them. I don't personally feel it should be an issue but it is best to get a response directly from them. Good luck with your plans.
