Meryl Streep, on staying in character, said it involves “A lot of smoking, bad posture, and staying up late drinking red wine.”
"August: Osage County" discussion with actors Meryl Streep, Dermot Mulroney, Chris Cooper, Juliette Lewis, Margo Martindale, Abigail Breslin and Julianne Nicholson, writer Tracy Letts and director John Wells on Nov. 25, 2013, moderated by the Academy's Patrick Harrison
I can relate to the bad posture, staying up late and drinking red wine. #imaStreeper
When Meryl talks, I listen closely.
Meryl Streep is one of our all time greats, whom everyone so enjoys..
awesome!
Great actress!
Meryl Streep has such a liberating and infectious laugh!
I'm so excited to see this film.
Only Meryl Streep can play a character of this size in film. #imaStreeper
I so wish I could see Jessica Lange's interpretation of Violet Weston.
Awww I want to see the entire interview! :) Meryl is just divine and the greatest
Wow.
You don't see that many talented actors in one film and in one row, talking about their craft. This is a rarity, indeed. And we still leave out Julia Roberts, Ewan McGregor and Benedict Cumberbatch.
And it's not often Meryl Streep appears in a discussion forum like this.
Looking forward to the film even more now.
I love this cast! I love meryl streep.. Pleaaase Academy, take me to the oscars this year
Very anxious to see this movie. My daughter saw the play in Pittsburgh, performed by Point Park University, and gave it high ratings!
I simply cannot wait to see this film!!
Way to go Tracy! Bringing it to the foreground.
I'm sure that Meryl Streep will be in contention for Best Actress for this film, that is receiving very favorable word of mouth, and Sandra Bullock is a lock for her performance in Gravity, however, I would like to see Cate Blanchett win for a magnificent performance in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine.
Cate Blanchett will unquestionably be nominated for her stellar performance in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine.
If they gave Meryl an Oscar for Iron Lady..She deserves 2 for this movie. My favorite part was when she ran thru the hey field. Barb says 'There's no place to go'. This movie was epic. I'm surprised it hasn't gotton better reviews..marketing maybe to blame for that and it's a lil shorter than it should be
Wish someone like Mike Nichols directed this.
Abigail Breslin all grown up!
Oh I can't wait to see ... I hope Meryl will take the oscar!
Meryl still the best
Wow...
Great movie but a bit too close to home for comfort.
will meryl have her 18th nomination?
Meryl :3!
1:14 omg she's from hannah montana the movie ahahhaha
Where was Julia!?
Where's Ewan McGregor? :'(
Julia Roberts Benedict too
She'll never talk about it but I want to know how Julia Roberts got the writers, the director and Harvey Weinstein to change the ending of the play because Julia Roberts wanted to have the last scene not Meryl Streep.
That's some insider tea
Interestingly Julia Roberts isn't here. 🤔
Well both Cate and Maryl made a remarkable performance in their movies.... Cate performed better than "Aviator" and Maryl way better than in "Iron Lady"... Cate made me laugh(not in a funny way though) and Maryl made me cry... Both were brilliant and hope one of two will get the Oscar but i think Cate will not have any opportunity to be such a strong nomination... Maryl is Maryl Streep. Even having a cold and sitting in her house she is magnificent in it. :)
pheba100 meryl
They took all the addicts drugs away, her suppler and left. Wow.
It’s a shame this panel didn’t have the actress who played the “Native American” c’mon. THAT would have been enlightening.
She died. And was allegedly raped at a Golden Globes party having to do with this movie by people on Harvey Weinstein's team.
