I rented this movie from redbox today and watched it on my "55 tv and I'm punching myself in the face for not getting off my ass and watching it in the theatre. If I could travel back in time I would dish out the $10 for a ticket at the movie house and watch it instead of renting it for $1 and watching it at home. Best movie experience I've had in a long time, I laughed, I cried, and was even standing time to time that's how much this movie engulfed me. It's crazy. Well done 'Interstellar' well done.
Dantain Films Sorry but TDKR was brilliant. The moral, the message, and the meaning transcends across all dimensions of space-time. Sorry guys, TDKR was 12/10.

I liked the film but the acting was one of the worst parts imo, but it has more to do with casting. Chastain was one-note all the way through imo and Hathaway was decent I guess, but Matthew was waaaay too chill, for me atleast.
Is it just me, or does she seem to not enjoy herself with the other cast members? I’ve watched several of these Interstellar interviews and she always seems to not enjoy herself or e engage with the other actors.
@@bw4497 I think that's just her personality, and she seems to be focusing on the questions in relation to her past experiences so it may not seem as related to the other actors' answers.
I've been haunted by this film even years later. This piece represents the best use of music score to enhance the majesty and chaos of the story. I was lucky enough to be able to see it in an imax theater... And remember being on the edge of my seat with the score carrying me into this world. It's a masterpiece.
This masterpiece taught me one thing...The Academy Awards are a real joke. This is the best movie of the decade and it wasn't even nominated, it only shows the BS and politics the awards are made of
Whenever i remember my first time of experiencing this movie all i ever remember is that - how it made me feel, how it made me question things and how the fuck it impacted me on a spiritual level. The vision of Mr. Christopher Nolan is so huge and so different that it is changing the face of cinema like never imagined.
People who don't get the move don't understand what the movie is really about. The science? not really. Its about love and life... Just remember that time flies and it pretty much sucks at the end of the road.
"OPEN THE POD BAY DOORS... DR. MANN!" Christopher Nolan's Interstellar answers Kubrick's 2001!!! It's clear now! The black monoliths that advance civilization in 2001 are HUMANS in INTERSTELLAR!! Also, Dr. Mann in INTERSTELLAR is 2001's reverse version of HAL! Brilliant!
Absolutely agree with that, I've been saying that all the time, that this movie is the only one that goes beyond what 2001 proposed. Amazing film we have here, it's so awesome when I have this opportunity to be able to see a movie like this on the big screen, and years later say: "I saw this one on the theater when it came out" :D
5:26 Anne Hathaway: "better food though, than on a hundred dollar a day film, hahahaha" Jessica Chastain: "Shut your stupid mouth, Ms. Princess Diaries every-movie-I've-ever-done-is-huge. Les Mis sucked and you know it!!" I can read inbetween the lines, definitely what she was saying.
Zero Dark Thirty is a panning of the American sense of moral superiority. Instead of a flag waving look-how-massive-the-American-flag-pole is movie everyone thought would come out of the Osama bin Ladin killing we got a "yeah we may have killed him but we sold our souls along the way and our president lied to the world about torture" kind of brutally honest movie
The fact that Hans Zimmer didn’t win best original score for Interstellar is a travesty. The making of the score makes it even better, he’s got mad scientist vibes ❤❤
I love Christopher Nolan and his films. He's such sweet and kind man and that comes thru in his films. Interstellar and Dunkirk are two of my all time faves.
What draws me to Christopher Nolan's projects, the films he creates touch the centerpiece of our existence, our needs, our emotions, what we are seeking, craving...he touches that which we distinctly desire to know, to push our minds further. It is intelligence, it is sincere, it is honest. It is the human spirit and what we can accomplish. That is what draws me to see his projects.
Have just read lots of comments here.I am an autthor with a Science Fiction book published too about interstellar travel and adventure, and probably it will never be made into a movie. The movie "Interstellar" was all about special effects - that is what people like to see! I bet no one commenting here remembers the story. Books with stories don't get made into movies these days, so the people who are commenting here with disappointment, must always remember that Interstellar is a Science "FICTION" movie and every thing in it must be taken at face value and enjoyed, rather than be a cause of discontent or a topic for criticism! Cheers and keep your smiles bright! I personally think that Christoper Nolan did a fine job with it.
all these years i thought oscars are "the best" awards but after watching interstellar being not nominated for best film,,,,,the voters of oscars are not mature enough to grasp this movie.
They do it before on purpose, so you can sit here wondering whether Interstellar is going to win big, or if they interviewed the people behind it just for a teaser and Interstellar is actually just going to bring home visual effects and maybe sound editing. Having the discussion after would be a major inconvenience for them, since there will be people saying "I thought THIS movie was way better than the one that won" and that's going to cause problems. They prefer to be this irrefutable authority that, once it has spoken, it has spoken the truth and nobody can question it. Of course, you CAN question after, but it will be too late. It's about them keeping in control and avoid as much controversy as they can. The Academy is very smart but people are beginning to see through the cracks.
1) Matthew McConaughey or the guy you can listen to for hours, even when you're a straight dude. 2) Anne Hathaway, or the cool chick whose talent should stop being ignored. 3) Jessica Chastain, or the radiantly beautiful red head who's more believable as a celtic goddess than as a waitress. 4) Interstellar, or the movie that should win the best motion picture award this year. And I'm not a nolanite, as they say (the only Nolan movies I REALLY love are this one and Insomnia, then TDK). Interstellar is something else. I know it's not really an argument.
I think that this movie really should get an Oscar, but yea, is okay if he didnt, cause we, people know that this is the best movie we watched.. At least me >.>
That one line . Laying down ground rules. How science works. That's matters most. Movie science may be diff. But it never escape the rules it laid at the start.
I have met many people who claim Interstellar is a masterpiece, but fail to explain what it is about. For them it's about conformity and feeling intelligent in the eyes of others. That cracks me up,but this movie is a masterpiece. See what I did there, just like the movie😜😜
The fact that this film wont win movie of the year is a crime.
@Hong-Bao Nguyen that was the problem
Doesn’t matter it’s movie of lifetime
Interstellar is a masterpiece. I enjoyed every second of it.

as time passes, that will become a knock...for the oscars a mean.
