      Hi Jeremy I took a look at your wall art on your website. I much say you have some really beautiful stuff. I’m a bit of an aeroplane buff and love warbirds, so this is right up my street. 👍🙂

      @@EverydayWorkshop Thank you. I'm presently working on a prototype, full size Spitfire MkIX panel measuring 1500 x 1000m, port side, just aft the cockpit, which includes the Radio Hatch and the top of the the wing fairing and centre to the roundel. We just started riveting the 900+ rivets today.

      That sounds awesome, I would love to see the finished article or the work in progress. You should make a video. I will certainly look out for it on your website. 🙂👍

    Having done this today I would just add that if you have the vehicle on ramps the filter bowl comes out ok. If you have it on axle stands you will need to put a jack under the driver side (UK) suspension arm and raise it up, otherwise the driveshaft will be in the way and you won't get the bowl out. I discovered this the hard way!😊😊

    Great video, do you know what size hose you need to drain the filter?

      Hi Callum, I can’t 100% recall but I believe it was about 5 or 6mm. Hope this helps. 👍🙂

    when lifting the new filter cartridge up into place you need to have the top opening into the cartridge covered until the very last second to prevent any grit dropping inside the cartridge, any small amount of dirt that drops inside the cartridge will cause major problems, because any dirt inside the cartridge will be carried to the injectors.

      Thank you for your comment John, but really I was very careful not to get any dirt in the system. 👍😊

    Hi, If I wont to empty the fuel tank for XC60, should I remove the filter, and just keep pressing the start button without brake? The pump should push the fuel out through the open filter?

      Hi Andries, to be honest I,m not sure. I’m sure you could try it, although it will great more air in the lines once the tank emptied. Let us know how you get on. Maybe someone on hear knows the answer.

    Hello Sir, i have a question about the “Torque” how many Nm you should put when closing the plastic cap ? Cheers

    • @EverydayWorkshop
      @EverydayWorkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, as far as I know there isn’t a torque setting for the fuel filter housing. (Although I could be wrong) If you use a the correct size spanner or socket and just make sure it’s tight so that it doesn’t leak or suck in air. Remember it is only plastic so don’t get carried away although it’s fairly robust so don’t be to worried. It is hard to communicate how to tighten correctly by feel, if you are not used to doing similar tasks, it just comes with a little experience. Hope I’ve helped. Let us know how you get on.
