This is good, I was thinking of buying the Razorwire from Army Painter but it seems my supplier has a hard time getting it and it actually looks a little too clean and flawless for postapocalyptic setups. Your razor wire looks shitty and crappy and messy and is perfect.
That is super cool, but since I don't have a power drill and it's a lot of work, I'll stay with my cheap army painter wire ^^ (plus I don't need barbedwire that often)
I don't think the Tamiya extra thin is actually doing anything here, it works on minis because it melts styrene and causes the two pieces to bond together, with metal it'll just evaporate and maybe leave some residue without bonding anything.
yeah, turned out any "hold" i thought it had was when I was literally crimping the knots onto it. So now I need to find some very thin superglue to get some clean barbed wire. -Garrett
OK, I've seen this before. This is *by far* the more realistic way to make scale model barbed wire, because IT FREAKING IS barbed wire. However, i wouldn't *ever* consider using it for tabletop models, because IT FREAKING IS barbed wire. It will hurt you if you grab it wrong, it will snag on things, it will be overall dangerous for minis used to play with, even more once it rusts (go get your tetanus shots!). For dioramas that won't be touched much if at all? Perfect! Get some extra points from the judges on your Golden Demon piece! But for gaming? No freaking way!
Lol, we'll consider this to be the official warning label. I've never jabbed myself on the wires while playing a game, but I'm pretty careful anytime I pick up any model. PSA: Grab your minis by the base, not the figure on top! On the upside, your opponents will have to show some respect when they want to pick your miniatures up! Or else they'll learn some, haha. -Garrett
This right here is exactly what I've been looking for to work on my trench diorama, and I look forward to seeing what you do next!
Awesome! Glad it helps!
"If you have a friend they can hold a pair of pliers" -buys power drill sobbing-
Cool! Trying to think about how to incorporate into jewelry without causing stabby points.
Sensacional 😮
OMG thank you.
Lesgo GY! Great vid!
Use a fly tying bobbin and 2mm spool wire. It will make things easier and way faster

It’s a bit of a process but you are literally making miniature barbed wire nearly the same way the real stuff is made

Definitely gonna use this video and make some for my wrestling figures
Great vid man. Thanks for sharing!
Using xtra thin Tamiya on anything but plastic won't work.
