Great project... I like the design. I found the paint on soft woods, bleeds into the sides of the cut when painting the letters or design. This can be prevented by giving the finished cutting board a spray of clear lacquer. That stops the paint leaking into the sides of the cut letters or design when applied. Love your videos.
Thank you. Often just a spray coat of clear is not enough to completely seal the wood. I have found that I have had more success with brushing on the sealer

I made a bit of an error programming some text and thought my sign was headed for the trash. I used a black marker to highlight the shape of the letters and it was magic! Absolutely saved the day!!!!
got a tip, bought vinyl flooring double sided tape in a roll only used 2 at 2 in by 1 in one on each end the wood stuck fantastic it also came off nice worked fantastic

I have an x-Carve and have crawled all over the site trying to find the image of the red truck with the Christmas tree and can't seem to find it. Can you advise how I might find it a little easier? I'm assuming it remains publicly available. Hate to bother you with this but am really interested in carving it for some friend that like old country trucks. Thanks in advance. PS: I researched Inventables Forum again and finally found it. Not sure how I missed it the first time. The guy you want to credit is Chuck Lyons and he posted in December 2018.

Only trying to show a various way to do it. I do not want to do it the same all the time. This gives the opportunity for more people to see different ways to accomplish the same task.

Couple of questions. Hand colouring the ornaments, what would you charge for such a thing to account for your time? Next, have you ever etched a photo into wood? I saw a one with various shades of burn but never saw a process.
It sounds like the v wheels are worn out. No, Inventables does not sell the upgrade z axis that I have on the machine. My upgrade is from cnc4newbie.com.

What is on your table saw? It looks like it would make it safer. I want to do things with wood but am so afraid of the saw I have to ask my husband to make my cuts for me.
I have a table saw sled and I added dust collection to it also. Yes, this addition will certainly help to keep your fingers safe. I also recently added a dedicated dust collection and saw guard to my table saw. This is by Pennstateindustries

The file came from the Inventables forum or the Inventables Project page. This is not my design and I am uncomfortable sharing someone else's file. I have ask for the person to come forward so that I can give proper credit and get permission to share.

great but you forgot to center it to the ordament before you engrave it otherwise it is a very good work and the idea with the markers i like very good.But make from them 100 pieces and it will take a very long time.Then you want find a way to fill those out with color faster.
There is always another way to complete a project based on the specific need. If I had a 100 to do I would cut a stencil for each color and spray them. You could even screen print them. Your imagination is your only limitation. That what makes this such so exciting. Each project is different. Thanks for sharing.
I think you should have kept the two projects separate, Because by the time you were getting through the cutting machine project I fell asleep. Sure seems like one was easier and shorter to do then the other and you should have just done one video for each.

Never thought about it. I do not sell these. Will be doing photo engraving shortly.
It looks like you are using a vbit? What did you select in Easel for your bit since you have to have pro to select those?
I have four free days per month of Easel Pro. I used one free day. Old account holders have the four free days per month.
So if you sand it after what's the point of shellacing first?
It seals the wood. When you paint the project, the over paint sticks to the shellac and not so much the wood.
Should have made the wreath bigger and put the year in the center.

I need the military files of ones hanging on the wall 2 of my sons and me served and we was in different branches where to find them that have G codes

why cant you just surface that paint off the board with the cnc router. .005 depth per pass til its cleaned up
