i like to imagine this guy working at a really depressing office, just typing his life away and then when it's 5pm, he slowly walks out, undoes his shirt and beats the drum to become the drum master
Just happened to come across this guy in Tokyo, he put his jacket over the screen and basically perfected the same song blind. There is a God and that is him. Thank you for being beautiful Tokyo, I'll be back :)
Methodius Thatch the only place I remember seeing this was in Florida when I was young and it was freaking fun as hell. I remember playing it so much my hands hurt lol I wish Dave and Busters had it too
Methodius Thatch The world will be complete if we can get Sound Voltex, Beatmania IIDX, and Taiko no Tatsujin overseas en masse. Alas, people would probably steal the sticks if they brought Taiko no Tatsujin over... Probably why you don't see it that much.
They have one in the Seattle, Washington area (or so i hear, there's a sizeable Japanese community over there). I'd kill to play this game when i'm home in America, all i have is some of the wii versions and those don't have the newest song (that sounded very whiny what am i doing) To play it on your computer i'd suggest Taiko-San Jirou over Osu though, as Jirou is (usually) smoother and is a dedicated(?) Taiko simulator.
People do that all the time... I personally haven't done it, but it happens... One TH-camr has a pet lizard and he makes it seem as though it's not his.
I saw someone do something similar on a DDR machine around ten years ago. He was spinning around, using his arms and most of the time wasn't looking at the screen
He dropped a stick and didn't keep going irregardless. Not good enough. Still, with whatever he was doing there I'll gladly imagine he probably does this professionally in some way. Playing real Taiko that is.
man taiko is really hard on a keyboard or with buttons tbh. once you start getting into more complicated maps, it's a lot easier with something to hit. i suggest if you like taiko to get a wii tatacon and use it with taiko on Osu :) I play it on my 3ds and Wii U so i just use the screens for that, but in your case you might want to find a cheap drum to plug into your computer
***** Yeah, there's a Taiko mode in Osu...lol. I'm saying that if you wanted to play Taiko no Tatsujin with a physical drum either play an official taiko game on a Wii U with the drum controller (there's a ps2 one too but I'm not a bigfan of that one) or hook the drum controller up to Osu and play Taiko mode. Taiko mode on Osu is honestly really cool if you wanted your own songs to play because of course the only songs you get on the official games are those that are programmed in. Or I mean, just continue to struggle with a keyboard if you'd prefer that. Although the physical taiko drum is a lot better because a keyboard doesn't register your drum hits like an actual drum does. Which Taiko game are you playing with a keyboard?
That man is a legend. Some say that when he will die. His body will float into the sky, where he will beat sticks against drums so powerful, that rhythmic thunderclaps will occur during storms.
Uhhh… this is cool and all but that’s one of the hardest tracks in taiko and he’s seems to have memorised it. I can only imagine how long he’s played and how many times he’s completed saitama 2000. That’s fucking terrifying

I need to petition this machine to be in my local Dave and busters. This game looks fun and nuts
Methodius Thatch You can actually have the game on your computer but you use keyboard or mouse. Download osu! It has a Taiko mode in it.
Methodius Thatch the only place I remember seeing this was in Florida when I was young and it was freaking fun as hell. I remember playing it so much my hands hurt lol I wish Dave and Busters had it too

Yeah it's in the Dave and Busters I think in Dolphin Mall in Miami or the Game Zone (formerly Gameworks) in Sunset Place.
They have one in the Seattle, Washington area (or so i hear, there's a sizeable Japanese community over there). I'd kill to play this game when i'm home in America, all i have is some of the wii versions and those don't have the newest song (that sounded very whiny what am i doing)

Jubileelover Was just about to post this, thanks for doing it anyways :P
Jubileelover No it's Darude -sandstorm ;)
Do people really like it for musical value? I just like it for the extreme influence it had on the entire taiko series :s
i was expecting a roll at the yellow note. the silence during his dance is what got me
This guy just has raw energy. He doesn't care if he gets a high score or not, he's just here to have fun!
James I think you need "Didn't subscribed to see Japan" on a t-shirt. Those words are immortal.
James Crawford I'll get right on that.
I love how he is enjoying his life to the max.
The best part was the ladies' reaction to this guy starting around the 30 second mark.
"new class first look and gameplay"

I really like to see the passion in people. This guy loves this game.
Oh hey now someone can finally play the drums in Freddie Wong's plastic game band
He dropped a stick and didn't keep going irregardless. Not good enough.
Still, with whatever he was doing there I'll gladly imagine he probably does this professionally in some way. Playing real Taiko that is.
Much skill many wow
Taiko freestyleing is something i did not expect to see
cookiezi in his taiko form
This guy’s a bloody legend! 👌
If you got this dude into complete focus, you know you've gotten him into some *d e e p* work, lol.
This guy is a total fucking badass.
I want his autograph.
I also want him to see a therapist.
Such skill !
meanwhile I'm struggling to do this on an emulator with a keyboard.
I am truly casual trash.

Kawaii Polar Bear
Taiko no Tatsujin DS
You're not casual trash if you did the right thing and ignore osu!
This is what working 90 hour weeks makes you feel like.
I just want enjoy life like this guy enjoys this game. He is still rocking when he drops that stick and keeps going
who is this glorious man
You think you can beat the Taiko?
The Taiko beats you.
your typical DDR player playing taiko
Woah! Resident evil's QTE has gotten out of hand!!
My dad (who is a music teacher): Adults don’t really play video games too much.
Also adults:
Holy hell, he's getting into this!!! GO MAN GO!!
He's going at it so hard that the ring around the drum got detached
This man took all the drugs. All of them. Every single one.

This video is missing a part where he solves a Rubik's cube while drumming
Hope your having a great time over there man. :)
Looks like a great way to relieve stress after work
i strive for this excitement
Ah, so that's why Japan's birthrate is plummeting.
Ratman I was about to comment the same thing.
But how could he not get all the pussy with taiko drum skills like that.
Ratman Are you kidding? This guy is like a rockstar, bet he gets all the poon.
Ratman You got that right, Candyman!

The song is called Saitama 2000,
I believe it is hard difficulty.
Literally the best run of Saitama2000
Uhhh… this is cool and all but that’s one of the hardest tracks in taiko and he’s seems to have memorised it. I can only imagine how long he’s played and how many times he’s completed saitama 2000. That’s fucking terrifying
saitama 2000 is 7* + he’s playing hard difficulty… still awesome though
Reasons to live.
