When I have a skill issue, I just play the hardest song I have and press retry until I get it. This helped me catch up to my friends who’ve been playing for half a year in 3 days.

We do have Taiko no Tatsujin in the US, but only up to 14. We don't have Taiko Blue version, which is probably what was played here. There's sites where you can look up the location of cabinets near you.
