Hey guys! Quick update for those of you who'd like to pick up one of these. The drum has been sold out on Amazon for some time now. Rythmagica actually reached out to me and told me that they have sent more stock to their Amazon warehouse, but Amazon is taking forever to process the shipment (it's probably busy due to the upcoming holiday season). In case you want to order directly from their website, they sent me a discount code to share with you guys! Use code JAYMIN at checkout for 15 SGD (about $11) off. It's not much, but hey, it helps! P.S. Just to be clear, I'm still not sponsored by Rythmagica. The code is a thank-you to everyone for supporting their company :)
Yeah they did take forever so i just cancelled my order and ordered directly from rythmagica so i dont have to deal with US shipping prices as im in the EU in finland. Still waiting for the carrier to pick up the drum 🙏
Great video. A note on the stick bandage. I bought this a few weeks ago, and didn't know what to do with them. Saw the video and setup the sticks now and noticed that the tape that is used to keep the bandage on the package is the same type of black tape that should be used to secure them at the end. Looking forward to next vids.
Definitely understandable that not many may have noticed how the black mini tape seal on the grip is meant to be used in that way, so it's fair enough haha. Usually those who have visited sports shops to have their badminton or tennis racquet grips for replacement will only realize on what those things are, as they see the staff do the job. I got my own grips usually replaced by my own self several times (both the bachi and also my own badminton racquet) throughout the years of me occasionally playing taiko with my own bachi, so I ended up knowing what those mini tape seal are for.
Fantastic review! I have both the TDC10 and Pro Max so for anyone reading the comments here are the key differences I’ve noticed. I enjoy playing on both and alternate between the two based on my noise level needs. When I have no issues with loudness, I tend to default to the Pro Max to help improve arcade play. TDC10: more sensitive and adjustable, better build, the app connectivity can be frustrating at times, it’s better to use the full maibachi controls + connect another controller to avoid connectivity issues. A lot quieter especially if you play with the supplied bachi which really grew on me (I wasn’t a fan of them initially but I love them now). I would recommend this for beginners who mostly want to play at home instead of the arcade + people who want to keep their noise levels down. Pro Max: bigger surface is nicer to play on to build up arcade play muscle memory, the KAs feel bouncier and nicer (I would rank the DON feels on both drums similar). Less sensitive than the TDC10 but still much more than the Hori. The inbuilt controller buttons also make navigation easier and more seamless on the switch. The QC can be iffy, I had to return mine after 2 months of play due to a large dead zone developing on the right KA sensors. I would recommend this to players who plan to play at the arcade more often or have a similar arcade experience if noise isn’t an issue and they’re willing to roll the dice on QC. The Pro Max can also be had at half the price of the TDC10 if you keep your eyes peeled for sales or have a cheap proxy service to buy from them directly on taobao (I got mine for about $85 usd on aliexpress including shipping)
thanks for sharing your thoughts! i've been curious to hear from people who have tried both, and this pretty much confirms my assumptions about how they stack up to each other.
I recently got myself an IINE pro max for a very decent price! It's honestly the perfect middle ground for the feel of the arcade and not being overly expensive, definitely a good drum! Though I would need to note when I connect it to PC it detects it as a keyboard, having the drum binded as DFJK, so might not be able to connect a different tatacon if you were to say, play multiplayer on the up incoming PC port. (since idk if its my own issue but you're not able to play multiplayer on keyboard AND a separate controller! D: ) oh and the drum does come with its own bachi's, theyre quite decent, somewhat heavy and no rubber grips.
Hey, nice video, I honestly really like knowing the existence of channels that upload content related to TNT, especially since I am someone who is just taking my first steps in the saga. Literally a week ago I had received the Tatacon from Hori for Switch, and I was unaware of this tatacon, which really looks like a good option and probably if my budget a few weeks ago had been larger I would have considered it over the tatcon from Hori, for the quality that it shows, and the wide variety of options that it has. But I also feel satisfied with Hori's tatacon, and I feel that for a rookie (me) who is just starting out, it is fine.
Honestly can't thank you enough for this amazing review! I've been using the PS4 taiko and was going to attempt to mod it, but now that I've heard of TDC10 I'm super excited to give it a try!
Very well-made review! Honestly, this review makes the TDC10 seem a lot more reliable than my Zhong Taiko. I don't know if I've just gotten a particularly faulty unit or what, but ever since I got it, I've had seemingly unfixable errors with some sensors. My right Ka sensor in particular always swallows some inputs, but increasing its sensitivity doesn't help, because that will just lead to Don notes suddenly registering as Kas (and even then, the swallowed input issue never fully went away). Even replacing the sensor didn't help, the issue still remains. The only way I've found so far to reliably play on my Zhong Taiko was to take off the rubber cover and play directly on the wood - though this requires some silent drum sticks to not produce insane noise, and these don't handle very well in fast songs. They just vibrate too much and are too unstable. They weren't really made for Taiko. Now while all of this might indeed just be symptoms of a faulty unit, where I think the TDC10 really objectively beats the Zhong Taiko is in its mobile app. God, I really wish the Zhong Taiko had something like this! All you get with it is a little piece-of-shit closed-source PC app. Now this in and of itself is annoying if you're a console player, because to calibrate your drum, you always need to connect it to a PC first, which also means constantly switching your drum between Switch mode and PC mode. But then the app in question also just isn't very well-made. It's full of bugs, its test mode is kinda stupidly made, and it doesn't even save your language setting, so whenever you start it up, you need to switch from Chinese to English first. Honestly, I want to see Rhythmagica tackle an arcade-level drum next. I know there's plenty of options available already, but I'd just love to see a Taiko drum one day that's high-quality in both hardware AND software. I think the mobile app is that much of a game changer!
I used to play pop’n music and iidx back in the days, even bought arcade accurate controllers from dj dao. This video makes me want to want to buy a taiko controller and start playing music games again. Nice review
I've only ever had the chance to play Taiko no Tatsujin on my holidays to Japan - but I love rhythm games, once hitting top 500 worldwide in certain stepmania songs back in the day. This video has convinced me, I need to get one of these drums. Pricing is also really reasonable, even with the conversion rate to AUD.
this is such an awesome video!!! i've only ever had a fringe interest in taiko, but seeing how in-depth you can get with controllers and the excitement you have to share your knowledge is AWESOME!!! love your videos dude, you've earned a sub!!
thanks for posting this!!! i modded a wii tatacon a while back and have been looking for new bachi to replace the Hori pair, ordered some from Zhong now (in purple too of course, we also share the same mouse lol)
Been wanting to play Taiko with a drum for almost a year, but with the pricing options at the time, it was a hard sale. Either I pay $400 for a drum in a game that I enjoy but don't know if I would take serious; or I could pay $80 for the Hori, which most people seem to outgrow within 2 months! Amazing review, comment section was not lying about the quality of this video. Gonna give the TDC10 a chance thanks for the detailed overview!
Heck yeah man amazing review! I was skeptical of this drum as it came from a brand that I didn’t know too well but seeing this review adds some assurance if I do decide to buy it. Also I’ve noticed we have the same windows background image lol
Glad I could help! The drum is a solid option. And nice wallpaper, lol. I also like to use Wallpaper Engine, but I couldn't find many Taiko walls there!
I haven't seen any other comments point that out, but I think the issue of not being able to do big Don notes is caused by both Don being mapped to A. If they were mapped to A and B it would both resolve the navigation issue and the big Don notes.
This is easily one of the best EN reviews of a Tatacon I have ever seen. I sadly wont be going for the TDC10 because of the IINE Pro Max due to size difference but this is still a really good video. Quite excited for 2025 as it seems Bandai is realizing Taiko has a fanbase over here in NA too and is now releasing more stuff here. Praying for the day Bandai decides to make their own official Taikoforce and for it to be affordable and not the price of a PS5.
Great review and video! Just visited Japan and the Taiko no Tatsujin was so fun playing at the arcades. Also apparently it comes out on Steam on the 6th of November (in 2 days from the comment) and I just started to look into drum options. It's a bit pricy, but definitely something I would consider! For now I will either save or buy the cheaper HORI drum for windows.
Man, this is such a great review. As a beginner playing with motion controls and having a blast (when they work), I definitely wanna buy a drum, and this really feels like a perfect introduction. Sadly, the manufacturer doesn't ship to my country, and shipping from Amazon is more expensive than the drum itself ($162.41 shipping + import fees only, no drum). Hopefully these will change in the near future, I will definitely keep an eye on it. Thank you very much for this review.
Hey, thanks for your interest! Please let us know which country you’re located in, and we’ll work on adding it to our shipping destinations as soon as possible.
This is so cool, as someone who is not super hardcore into Taiko that I would invest in stuff like the zhong controller but undoubtedly views at as one my favorite rhythm game experiences, a middle ground between the 2 most prevalent options is so nice. The hori really does start to feel kinda bad especially after you really start to improve, and quite frankly I'm too afraid to mod this thing in fear of also breaking the sensors, so thank you for making this video, woulda never heard of this otherwise I think
I used to live two hours from the closest taiko cabinet, then the entire round 1 and mall shut down permanently during covid 😅 Now I live in a city and have an arcade with taiko only about 15 minutes away! I've been playing taiko for about 8ish years (on and off because life) and I'm so happy I finally have one near me.
Nice review! I'm always a bit skeptical whenever a new drum pops out from an unknown company, but it's nice to see it performs well as a middle ground between Hori and the arcade ones. If anything I'd prefer it to have physical buttons instead of connecting to a phone, it makes things more tedious for wanting to be innovative, although the fact that you can adjust the sensitivity it's surprising considering its price and size. Keep up the good work!
@@_LochaG thanks, glad you enjoyed the video!! I definitely agree with your points. The app feels clunky. A better design would be to adjust the settings separately by connecting to some PC software or something (similar, I assume, to the TaikoForce etc.) and have a very simple physical button box for navigation.
A really good review on the drums itself! surprised to see it has come this far with mid tier pricing drums being pretty good like this. In all honestly, can agree at the same time that rhythm games can be possibly one of those video game hobbies that can cost you plenty of money at some point, especially with picking up specialized controllers. Honestly, it is also definitely within my wishlist of picking up a rhythm game controller to use at home too, till this day...
amazing video, actually got interested into this rythm game lately but kinda forgot i was going to try it out and now this video popped on my page. now i’m convinced i should try it out😂
I've never played Taiko no Tatsujin on a drum before, and I know I'm missing out. I keep considering the Hori drum, but just never commit to it, especially after hearing mixed things about it. I know overall it shouldn't concern a novice player like me too much, but it kinda does. Having a better alternative that doesn't break $200 sounds great! A lot great features packed into this one. Still don't know if I'll pick it up yet. The future for these kinds of controllers seems promising, and maybe waiting a little longer will pay off with an even better drum. Thanks for bringing attention to this drum. Also, I hope I can finally play the arcade version sometime soon!
Great review man, thanks for the wealth of information. I have a hori drum as that's the only thing that can fit in my room, but it's gaudy and loud (neighbors) and right ka's already tweaking on me after almost a year together. Hopefully I can step up my practice with a pair of maibachi before committing to a drum above my budget.
glad you liked the review! do keep in mind that if you use maibachi (like Zhong's bachi) on the HORI, it is possible that the impact of your hits can damage the drum over time (this actually happened to me with my 2nd HORI, so now I have 2 dead HORI drums...). but in my opinion, it's worth the risk because wooden bachi are better for practicing. next video will be all about bachi, so stay tuned :)
Pleaseeeeee try the taiko force. If you're a daily player, the arcade like experience is worth the cost. Playing on a hori drum or small drums badly affect your drumming habits if you want to play on arcade in the future. For example, it affects how you decide where to hit anshow much force to use when dealing with different charts. These drums also so not have the same material used on the arcade drum, which greatly changed a lots of aspects of how do you control your bachi. Great video!!! Please keep up!
wait this review is actually decent. I'm also thinking of getting a Taikoller but the price, like you said, it's really hard to justify and I'm even not that good in the game. Really thinking about getting a rythmagica right now!
thank you for subscribing 💜 and thanks for your suggestion! i have a couple other videos planned right now, but after those are done, i'll be starting a tutorial series (with some special guest TH-camrs 😉) and will definitely include that!
2:20 the ka mod is very particular and comes down to the foam thinness and how you seperate the pieces. it either works amazingly or doesn't. of course, I'm excited to upgrade from modded HORI with the wooden Etsy-seller plate, but it's been doing me and some others amazingly well in the meantime! Not saying you're wrong but I wanted to encourage those looking at modding to read up and give it a try if they're dissatisfied with their HORI.
@@RolieKloeOlie yep, i know some people run into that issue, lol. if you use the TDC10, maybe you could use high sensitivity (i.e., very low threshold) along with the Hori bachi. Then you can tap pretty lightly when playing, which should produce very little noise!
@@jaytaiko thanks! I have taiko on switch. I imported the Japanese version early to get access to more songs and then got the English version. I bought a weird drum controller then that has a tiny rectangle snes looking controller connected to it. It’s loud
Thanks for the discount code, decided to buy one as someone who's new to Taiko on PC. The shipping hurt a bit, but the discount definitely helped take some of the sting off. Now all I have to worry about is how loud it would be when it arrives. Does anyone actually play with their hands instead of the drumsticks?
11:27 also, for a game like Rhythm Festival or Drum Session, this mode is useless as they already had this planned out. The buttom mapping for the drums are L3 and R3 for dons and ZL and ZR for Kas, when playing if you hit the buttons for kas you can move through the menus and when clicking in the analog sticks, you can also accept stuff. this also works in-game
always been curious about taiko, but i didn't realize that youtube was recommending me a guide to taiko drum controllers for literal toddlers (that's me, i'm the toddler)
This pad was absolutely perfect for my fiancee and I. Allowed us to level up our gameplay without breaking the bank and fits our small space. Hoping to get another soon.
@@chucktownattack definitely, i have a few projects in the works -- so stay tuned! it might take me a while to release things since my job keeps me busy. appreciate your patience 🙏
I think the size is actually very good for people who doesn't have much space and/or someone who travels semi regularly. Are you a student who lives in a dorm? Are you having storage space constraints? Want a good quality controller but the others are just too big? Then the TDC10 is just for you.
Personal anecdote regarding space: I used to own a IIDX controller (DJDAO FP7), and it is a pain to travel/move with. You have to check it separately for flights in its own box because it was big. I moved with it for my masters, and I had to sell it to a good friend because I ran out of space in my student accommodation. This controller on the other hand, would have been *perfect* if I was into Taiko back then. It fits in my luggage, collapses down to its carrying case, and it saves a lot of space.
I'm on the phone working my weird insurance job and I'm just like cringing that I can't click play on this yet! Thanks for the video doood Edit: oh, this drum isn't even available shipping from the US through Amazon, a month after this review. that majorly sucks. But! I like how you said it's more worth it to get a deluxe drum if you're a fanatic-- this isn't a cheaper replacement for those.
others have also told me that it's out of stock for them. i guess more people started buying after they saw my review 😅they just need to send more over here to their US warehouse. hopefully it comes back soon!
Are you going to review the newer Hori PS/Xbox drum when they come out? I know they change the stand but I wonder if they also changed anything with the sensitivity or the noise
if money wasn't an issue, and you could only pick one to buy and use, would you choose TDC10 or IINE Pro Max? I saw the other pinned comment detailing the differences, but I'm still trying to figure out which one is objectively better. (read this after making your selection) if you had to pick the drum with the most accurate arcade feel (and highest hit precision / best build quality, if those come hand-in-hand with the arcade feel), does that change the answer? thanks!
@@taikoslop they were originally from Mercari Japan, but I actually bought them used from someone I met at an arcade while traveling. also, my next video will be all about bachi options -- definitely be on the lookout for it!
@@jaytaiko awesome, my current pair is getting really worn down and i think it's time to replace them, had them since my first oni play 5 months ago. would be super nice to have a video detailing the options
nice video! i'm hoping the taiko arcades also come to Canada since they did say North America... do you think you could do a video, or short post detailing the differences between all the sticks you had? (I think you called it maibachi) I played at arcades in Japan and also at some North American anime conventions and I feel like the sticks they had were so much better than my taiko hori drum set, so I was wondering which ones to buy for future reference. would you say the TDC10's set of sticks are usable in an arcade too, or should I invest in the ones by taikozhong and use them for arcades and TCD10?
@@Gohgo glad you liked my review!! and I'm glad you asked, because my next video is all about maibachi :D it takes me a bit of time to put these together since I stay busy at work... appreciate your patience 🙏
it's weird to me that the controller maps don to A on both sides rather than clicking the left and right sticks like most controllers, that makes it where it can't play multiple sides and allow you to hit both sides for a large don
Forget the drum bro y our skin is flawless, drop the routine!!! Jk thanks for the video tho. Not a rhythm game player but I love rhythm game controller videos.
For the hori drum, u need to tape the ka sensor to make it more sensitive. But uhhhhh yea if u have tdc10 I don’t think u need the hori one anymore lmao
Damn it's sad for the big notes issue, it would almost make it perfect for the price. I know it's not THAT important, but it's kinda important to me, or at least for my ocd brain lmao
"Double strokes" are what's known as diddles by drummers and percussionists. I noticed you're making the most common mistake made by any beginner drummer by clenching your forearm and focusing the force into your first two fingers, even letting go of the stick with your ring and pinky fingers. This is the way most people think to do this, but its actually the worst way to maintain control of the stick for consistent force and accurate diddles. You actually want to focus on using your back fingers even more than your front to maintain even control. This is the hardest part of being a drummer and it will test your chops and really start making your forearms burn. When we practiced on the drumline we used to do fortissimo non stop buzz rolls using only our back fingers (with our pointer fingers pointing and off of the stick) until our forearms completely cramped up and we couldn't move our fingers anymore. After doing that every day in practice for an entire season our arms started looking like Popeye's arms from the old cartoon and we could play for hours on end with much more precision.
@@crazysquriel thank you for sharing! sometimes, it's hard to translate "real" drumming techniques directly to Taiko because we have to be concerned about whether our hits are being registered, etc. but I definitely appreciate your comment and will be thinking about my technique!
@@jaytaiko For sure, I've played a fair bit of Taiko and I get where you're coming from with the hit registering. It won't catch full speed diddles and kind of just treat them like a buzz roll, but if you can master the technique of diddles then it is actually useful. If you control the amount of force you press down with you can essentially play with diddle 16th notes and use half the effort of actually swinging the stick.
@@tasteyfoood unfortunately we don't have one in New Orleans 😭 but since making this, I've become aware of a cabinet in Gulf Shores, which is at least closer than Houston... btw you can locate cabinets here: zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/arcades.php
Does it slide forward? I have this problem when playing with the hori on a table, it just slowly slides forward and sometimes I find myself having to adjust it while playing, which most of the cases will lead to a miss or even a notelock
@@_gosoka yep, and if you happen to care about rank etc., it might be an issue because big notes give you a score bonus. the Pro Max might be a better option for you

it's really such a great game... we're glad to have you! :D
Always been interested in these games when seeing them on the internet/eshop in passing, but had no idea where to even begin. Great stuff
this is such an awesome video!!! i've only ever had a fringe interest in taiko, but seeing how in-depth you can get with controllers and the excitement you have to share your knowledge is AWESOME!!! love your videos dude, you've earned a sub!!
this comment was so sweet, thank you!! it really motivates me to continue working on future videos :)
I have literally NEVER played taiko and NEVER had the want to play taiko, but your review makes me want this drum just to play taiko. Well done.
@@XSAthena thank you, it's such a great game!
You need more subs and I need that drum 😆 keep it up you’re a really good ytber for the English speaking taiko community
@@chills_tiny_mom thank you so much!! I look forward to making more videos for you guys :)
thanks for posting this!!! i modded a wii tatacon a while back and have been looking for new bachi to replace the Hori pair, ordered some from Zhong now (in purple too of course, we also share the same mouse lol)
You're very welcome :D
Also it's a reliable mouse haha
Been wanting to play Taiko with a drum for almost a year, but with the pricing options at the time, it was a hard sale. Either I pay $400 for a drum in a game that I enjoy but don't know if I would take serious; or I could pay $80 for the Hori, which most people seem to outgrow within 2 months! Amazing review, comment section was not lying about the quality of this video. Gonna give the TDC10 a chance thanks for the detailed overview!
@@Dereklander I'm very glad you found it helpful!! Best of luck with your drum journey 🙏
@@jaytaiko Ty hope it goes well!
I also like to use Wallpaper Engine, but I couldn't find many Taiko walls there!
yo sick rewind sticker and yoyos didnt expect to see a yoyo stuff in a taiko video lmao
@@Fireball3450 glad to find someone else with the same combination of hobbies, lol
I haven’t played Taiko since Covid, and yet I still sat through this video and enjoyed all of it
@@loopooloo20 thank you for watching!! :D
Praying for the day Bandai decides to make their own official Taikoforce and for it to be affordable and not the price of a PS5.
definitely!! and you're right that the size makes a huge difference. personally, i'll be looking to upgrade soon :)
You put a lot of visible effort into making this video! I wonder how the new hori drum will be. Maybe make a video on it!
from what I've heard, it's louder and has little to no rebound. I listened to the review with translated subs so i could be wrong though
Wow, sorry to hear that! Best of luck figuring out your drum setup!
The hori really does start to feel kinda bad especially after you really start to improve, and quite frankly I'm too afraid to mod this thing in fear of also breaking the sensors, so thank you for making this video, woulda never heard of this otherwise I think
i'm so glad it was helpful!! :D
I used to live two hours from the closest taiko cabinet, then the entire round 1 and mall shut down permanently during covid 😅
Now I live in a city and have an arcade with taiko only about 15 minutes away! I've been playing taiko for about 8ish years (on and off because life) and I'm so happy I finally have one near me.
Great video, well made, detailed, good production value, informative and helpful
A better design would be to adjust the settings separately by connecting to some PC software or something (similar, I assume, to the TaikoForce etc.) and have a very simple physical button box for navigation.
first thing i see is a rock band mic (at least i presume). goated
hype to see what the rest is gonna be like
It's actually just a cheap XLR mic 😅
Funny thing is, I do have an old RB2 mic somewhere. Lol
Looks like a shure sm58 with a foam pop shield on it
A really good review on the drums itself! surprised to see it has come this far with mid tier pricing drums being pretty good like this.

@@mekkimechanicvt4855 no way,
I can see the effort you put into this video, great job!
super in-depth review, thanks man!
I decided to go for the taikoller because I want one that was bigger and not as expensive as the others. I can't wait for it to arrive 🤗
Nice!! I hear it's a great controller.
off topic comment but your skin is absolutely glowing
@@kingtai2 thank you!! 💜
some other commenters seemed confused by my skincare 😂
I also suggest playing on a emulator than the software versions. It do feel much more smooth overall
wait this review is actually decent. I'm also thinking of getting a Taikoller but the price, like you said, it's really hard to justify and I'm even not that good in the game. Really thinking about getting a rythmagica right now!
@@ninhdang1106 glad it was helpful!! Others in the comments have said that the Pro Max might be a better investment. I think both are great options!

and thanks for your suggestion! i have a couple other videos planned right now, but after those are done, i'll be starting a tutorial series (with some special guest TH-camrs 😉) and will definitely include that!
As an arcade game lover I will def get this
Seeing you play sample notes opened up my eyes about how you should hold the bachi o: very cool! Where can I learn more about that?
Good thing I had to return my Hori drum (wonky left rim sensor, kept dropping inputs), just bought the TDC10!
Not saying you're wrong but I wanted to encourage those looking at modding to read up and give it a try if they're dissatisfied with their HORI.
yep, exactly! with the Ka mod, you just have to be very patient, and you might be successful. unfortunately i wasn't able to get it 😅
cool review,love to see
fantastic review! might get this instead of the taikoforce lv5 since i dont have that much money xd
I love how quiet it sounds. One reason I haven’t played in a while is because I don’t want the sound to bother my neighbors
It’s loud
This might seem goofy to some, but finally an app that doesn't want to data mine my phone.
I want to play taiko more but don't feel like driving 2 hours roundtrip to my nearest arcade every time I'd like to; this review really helped :))
very glad i could help :D
Thanks for the discount code, decided to buy one as someone who's new to Taiko on PC. The shipping hurt a bit, but the discount definitely helped take some of the sting off. Now all I have to worry about is how loud it would be when it arrives.
Does anyone actually play with their hands instead of the drumsticks?
They (rythmagica) made a typo XD !
At 11:12 , it is written "Swtich".
Other than that, thanks for the awesome video/review.
@@Lewiiugamepad yep, I noticed that too lol
Its nice to see a good affordable one finally although for me I gotta save up for the taiko force xD
Goated song at the end
I live in Australia and live near a Japanese focus arcade and they have Taiko machines
seeing yoyo's and taiko, love it 😻
11:27 also, for a game like Rhythm Festival or Drum Session, this mode is useless as they already had this planned out.
I'm going to bust out my Rockband portable kit and give that a bang.
This pad was absolutely perfect for my fiancee and I. Allowed us to level up our gameplay without breaking the bank and fits our small space. Hoping to get another soon.
great to hear!

this is one of those rhythm games where it feels like if you’re good at this it translates into playing an actual taiko drum
I have the Zhong drum. It's amazing!
I think the size is actually very good for people who doesn't have much space and/or someone who travels semi regularly.
Are you a student who lives in a dorm? Are you having storage space constraints? Want a good quality controller but the others are just too big? Then the TDC10 is just for you.
Personal anecdote regarding space:
I used to own a IIDX controller (DJDAO FP7), and it is a pain to travel/move with.
Very good point. For some people, especially beginners or people who frequently travel, the smaller size could actually be an upside of this drum!
Hey Jaymin, what's the program you use to test the 'Drum Feel' with the patterns on top? I really want to get better in Taiko no Tatsujin!
Taiko Force is my pick and yes it is expensive, I saved for over 3 months.
(read this after making your selection) if you had to pick the drum with the most accurate arcade feel (and highest hit precision / best build quality, if those come hand-in-hand with the arcade feel), does that change the answer? thanks!
Thank you for the review!! Does this work with the PS5 taiko game? New player looking to learn how to play on the drum
what bachi do you use? the ones in the drum feel section, i've been looking for similar ones

you're in luck, it just released on Steam today!
@ wait really wow! Such a good timing. And can I play it with the drum kit you chowcased in the video ?
nice video! i'm hoping the taiko arcades also come to Canada since they did say North America...
do you think you could do a video, or short post detailing the differences between all the sticks you had? (I think you called it maibachi)
I played at arcades in Japan and also at some North American anime conventions and I feel like the sticks they had were so much better than my taiko hori drum set, so I was wondering which ones to buy for future reference. would you say the TDC10's set of sticks are usable in an arcade too, or should I invest in the ones by taikozhong and use them for arcades and TCD10?
@@Gohgo glad you liked my review!! and I'm glad you asked, because my next video is all about maibachi :D
it takes me a bit of time to put these together since I stay busy at work... appreciate your patience 🙏
@ huge, take your time!! will be waiting patiently :)
it's weird to me that the controller maps don to A on both sides rather than clicking the left and right sticks like most controllers, that makes it where it can't play multiple sides and allow you to hit both sides for a large don
Forget the drum bro y our skin is flawless, drop the routine!!! Jk thanks for the video tho. Not a rhythm game player but I love rhythm game controller videos.

Taiko no Tatsujin AC 1-7 / CS 1-5 / PSP 1-2 Note Placements belike :
For the hori drum, u need to tape the ka sensor to make it more sensitive. But uhhhhh yea if u have tdc10 I don’t think u need the hori one anymore lmao
Damn it's sad for the big notes issue, it would almost make it perfect for the price. I know it's not THAT important, but it's kinda important to me, or at least for my ocd brain lmao
My guess for the 2 USB ports:
Some (or one) companies are doing wild proprietary nonsense (cough Nintendo)
And the rest uses standard HID protocol
Thank goodness for Scott the Woz for making me familiar with this game series.
shoutout Scott! Lol
What is the program at 15:08 ? Might have to buy myself an early Christmas present
LETS GO~!!!
