witcher one was really good and great starting point of the series for me it for first was standalone and second it granted you an option to kill some important characters or side with one of the factions like in witcher 2 but almost for the whole game which was really great I hope they wont cut away too much and add more side quests and story decissions that will maybe be ported to witcher 4 and if they update it witcher 2 and 3

Its always so weird to me, when game studios, in todays climate, have this weird issue with nudity, sexual situations, like them removing the romance cards, but have zero issue with violence, gore, etc..Its a shift we have seen moving in this direction for a while now, but its so weird...
A very recent announcement was also made for the removal of the "erotica" score system in the Dead Rising remake as well. It's disappointing that multiple games are being sanitized of sexual content when games like Baldur's Gate 3 have full nudity and sex scenes and are all rated Mature for a reason... Seemingly mentalities have changed since the 2000s and companies are deeming this older content as sexual objectification nowadays. A real shame that companies won't stick to the original content in their older titles for fear of bad press or some backlash.

If you haven't played the Original Witcher 1, you should play it, as we know remake will be different from original, it's a whole different experience, I didn't like it and didn't understand it at start, but as I kept playing it got better better, due to my lifestyle I don't have much time to enjoy the games I play I rather focus on finishing them so that I could play more games in the time I got, but this is one the games that I actually enjoyed playing and didn't want it to end.

So no more collecting cards....I do not like this decision at all. I loved that part. I played 3 times that game just to collect all card, because you have to play it many times because some decisions lock you out of some cards.
the witcher 1 was one of the few games that could be played with one hand. my left hand doesn't work, so I'm curious if they'll keep the mouse-only system. at worst I still have the original version 😎

I loved the Witcher 1 timing based system of combat. It allowed for you to watch cool choreographed Witcher movesets while still requiring you to pay attention. The Witcher 3 moveset is bland in comparison like playing Oblivion, they didn't even implement a Sekiro parry/riposte system to keep some witcher feel around, just swing, block and dodge like a Dark Souls game.
I've tried...but the Witcher 1 is currently unplayable on my last two pc's 😅. Can't even get out of Kaer Morhen before the game stops working with the Keys and console controls 😅. I'm looking forward to this remake.
There are plenty of Artists that can help with the Sex-card uplifting. Just leave that part open for modding. We will find our way to make the game feel solid :) . The problem would be if they completely remove the possibility to romance a female protagonist. Then that will be no Witcher any more :(
While it would be great to get an updated version of both I & II, this ESG bullshit like removing the sex is an absolute fail. I expect a mid looking version for all of the ladies. I’ll wait to see how it develops, but no one should be optimistic.
I am staying with original outdated graphics game Witcher 1 ...it was good and cards are great. Back then nothing was Woke and it was more fun to play games.

Still in concept stage 2 years after announcement. A game that has already been made with full story and direction. Seriously.... It just needs new graphics, animations and so on. It's not like it's an entirely new game, even if different to an extent. Also this game was really needed to come out before Witcher 4 to hold us over for a while. Cyberpunk is done and Witcher 4 is not coming out anytime soon. And neither is a Cyberpunk sequel.

They're redoing the voices I believe as some voice actors are different in the 3rd one
If there are mod to add removed content, it'll get my interest, otherwise it's just another game that have been remade through ESG lens.
