    Park the pickup across the lane at 45 degree angle, thereby being sure they cannot squeeze by. Also a little grain rattled in a can or sack and they will FOLLOW you anywhere.

    Nice! 😁 Took me a couple years being with our flock daily and using certain words repetitively for them to be responsive. But I entirely agree, patience pays off big as they figure what you want from them. Also, when you need to get something off your chest, sheep are great listeners! 😄😄😄

    Oh my gosh great fun!! But I think the Sheep listen to Meg because she nips their heels if they don't. So they git going to avoid it. But not saying you might have tried that. The reverse psychology don't you dare worked very well and I enjoyed the guard coat as well making sure they did not turn right. :)

    Now you know how things go on my farm! I don't have a sheep dog. I tried it once, but the dog didn't have enough work so would sneak off and move the sheep on its own. Our paddocks are easy to go between in the rotation and the sheep are pretty much trained to it. Now with lambs just coming out of the barn it can be confusing, but they will learn.

    • @TheSheepGame
      @TheSheepGame  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe a little similar with some of my sheep, that stick to their certain grazing areas, they get to know the way around the fields when I need to move them, may have helped a bit in this situation!

    I noticed after watching a bunch of older videos that many people don't dock tails in Scotland. I have hair sheep with a couple hair/wool crosses that already had their tails docked. Is it not considered really necessary? I am just curious.

    You need a crook stashed in the back of your wagon all the time, it's amazing how having one swinging about will help push sheep if you don't have a dog with you

    Wonder how many steps you do in one day. Fitbit would tell you.
