How timely! Good things to know for when my sheep arrive. To save a little cash, I want to train them to 2 wires of powerbraid with a woven wire back-up initially. My charger is 6 joules which should keep them from ever wanting to contact it again.
Hey! there guy's, saw you on Deep South Homestead just today . you and your wife were at their homestead. so glad to meet you an God Bless your family. My name is Ginny McCann from Jacksonville Fla, I read between the lines, your alright and glad to hear you know the truth about what going on in our country, also first I want to thank you and your wife for your service. Also went right to your website to learn more about you and am very pleased your mine kind of people. everything you were saying in the video with your son about the 15 acres across the road from you your right on it. so glad you are doing what you want too, don't let nobody tell you that your skin color stops you this is wrong! You will prove them wrong. I know that person in DC and the bunch that is pulling his strings are the problem, personally, i feel we all should remove them out of our country and forbid them to enter into these Great United States of America that's mine wish.
Dad raised sheep and had quite a large herd. I helped move them once and they are hard to get moved from one pasture to another. Not a situation anything like yours though.
@@PermaPasturesFarm21 We use that too but end up using 2 of 100ft to make a bigger space for only 3 sheep...lol....probably exact same thing but in order to use as electric netting to keep them safe from wild predators, we spend so much time mowing grass to about an inch then we set the netting. We get so much rain in AR right now that grass grew very fast...so we feel that we spend too much moving and set up. Doesn't work for us very well. We are thinking of doing a permanent fence in a paddock and move them that way. Appreciate any suggestion. Thanks.
@@permatopiafarm1119 I would strongly consider doing a poly wire set up similar to Greg Judy. In fact, that’s exactly what we intend to do before too long.
Is sheep manure consider a good fertilizer just like other animals...like chicken, cows, worms, etc...that we use on our plants? I assume it is as they are grass fed but I want to be absolutely sure and need some one who has use it for confirmation. Thank you.
Pimp daddy said not to befriend the animals, ik handfeeding is bad, and shouldn't be done, but what about petting if they allow you to get close enough, and let you pet them?
This is true. I use to raise sheep. They only know two things calm or flight. Better calm
Yes indeed!
2:28 you really get an idea about how big your property is.
You managed that situation very well.
Thank you!
That little stomp is, I believe, totes adorbs.

It’s definitely easier when there are few!
Great video.. What kind of netting do you have?
It’s just 100 foot Premier 1 sheep netting.

I would suggest aging it or composting it before using it in the garden but we’ve not ever had any problems with it.
@@PermaPasturesFarm21 Great..thanks.

We petted our pig right up until the day she left for freezer camp
Petting them is completely OK… As long as you don’t get too attached.
