Thanks for your video. I bought a Yamaha Zuma 125 three weeks ago and could not get it up on the center stand without another person helping. After your video I went out and tried it on my own and hallelujah, I did it no problem. I can do it now by myself. Thanks again. I sure am glad your video popped up.
Wow Ive seen other videos too but this person's explanation is what made me do it. It has nothing to be with how strong you are im only 52kg and im quite slim. The technique matters more.
Yep. Thanks a million. I'm off to practice now and give my neighbours a new reason to point and stare. I've been struggling with my new scooter for the last wk. I'm new to two wheels, 53 and 5ft tall. I've literally not been able to use it because I just couldn't get it on or off the centre stand and have no side stand. If this tutorial doesn't help....
I'm such a light weight. I have no problem taking my scooter off the center stand, just putting it on the center stand. I am so upset that I'm too weak for this one. How do I lift it in the back?
+Julie Stewart I was having the same problem and found that I was using the wrong posture... it takes some practice... as seems like we need to train the body a tad so the motion comes almost automatic....
+Robert Ostman I want to add that in my case what I do is to keep the arm holding the rear... straight... so I am not actually using that arm muscles... but rather my back... I hope that this will help
hey happy new year!!.. if... it is a scooter what you are using I am almost sure that the advice provided should be enough... the night was great by the exception of me developing a cold/flu.... looking to protect the guests I choose to wear a medical mask... so to prevent a tad to be spreading this thing....
Oh wow...feel better!!! The flu? Hard to beat, so you need lots of rest. You'll get better. Let you know how this turns out. Raining in Florida, so I'll take my "boy" out a little later and try my luck again. I think I was lifting the back...I'll try again, and let you know. Have a wonderful day.
Wish I lived in Australia and could take your courses. Just purchased an ADV 150, first bike, no problem driving around, but short riding skills nonexistent. I will keep working on it watching your videos.
I just bought my first scooter yesterday (Yamaha Smax) and while I was in the store waiting for all the paperwork to go through I was practicing getting the bike on and off the center stand. I didn't have any problem getting the bike off the center stand, but getting it back on was another matter entirely. I felt retarded because it seemed way more difficult than it needed to be. Part of the problem was that the showroom floor was slippery. But the main problem was that I wasn't putting the two legs of the center stand down first; I was more like kick starting a motorcycle -- standing up on the lever than jumping down with all my weight. It was completely hit and miss. I wish someone there who knew the proper technique would have shown me what the man in this video did.
I've watched tons of videos to make it easier to put the bike on center stand. I'm short, 115 lbs soaking wet and nothing works for me. I read that most motorcycles don't have center stands only side kickstands. There is no easy way for me to do it. I'm removing the center stand to save weight.
The stand can’t get any grip and every time I try to push it on/off the stand then it just slides forward/backwards! Please help me as I cant do it while it’s in my garage because of the slippery surface my garage has :( Is there anything I can do?
OK, now I have watched two video's about taking scooter off and on the stand, both totally contradicted each other. I am a women and my new bike is 180 pounds more than my old bike. I really want to know the best way to do this so it does not fall over.
Taking kickstand off inside a tile floor is futile , as it just slides. Prob.solved with right diameter hose rubber plug on the end but, i do drag the kickstand occasionally. 🛵⤴⤵⤴🌪
Haha. I have been doing it wrong. For years. Trying to use brute strength. Lifting the front of the seat. While pushing down the stand. What a dork. 😂🤔🙃🙃
Thank’s so much, really helpful my friend 😊 The Lord’s love + grace be with you His Hope + peace, in Life, and beyond the grave Hope you are all well and resting in Jesus saving love + grace 😊 Warmest Love + blessings friends 😊
Scooter does not roll onto stand. Ur doing it all with ur own physical strength. Ur method will never work for those of us who are physically weak. Im waiting for the manufacturers to think up and design a powerized center stand. That will solve the issue for me. Otherwise im stuck searching for help every time.
well I just had a newbie mistake this afternoon... as I moved in the parking lot of a store, to a total stop and puled out the side stand... so.... thinking that all was cool,... I des-mounted the scooter only to see it fall to the other side and right to a car that was parked there... gggg and re gggg .... ended up paying the car owner 100 dollars that now I owe to my mother....gggg and I was lucky as the guy was clearly planning to get as much cash as possible.... his vehicle had suffer ultra minor damage and most of what was found on his vehicle was paint from mine... that could be removed using some polish... yet there were 2 tiny indentations... that didn't damage his paint but did bent a tiny bit the metal.... any way...

This video alone is worth a sub
Good technique, but Ken is actually bigger and heavier than the scooter, haha. I need a demo with someone weighing 50kg and short

Great video couldnt explain it any better was looking for a tutorial for a friend i will send them this one thank you for this vodeo
Thanks Ken! Your videos are really helpful.
he makes it look so easy
it is easy this isn't rocket science.I can't believe people can't do this.
I'm a meek 5'2, 48 kg and I cannot get it back onto the centre stand any advice for a shorty.
Did you find any answer?
Well done mate!!!!!

thank you. Looking on this solution as a newbie rider. :)
5 minutes for using center stand?
So helpful! Thank you very much. :)
Excellent. Thank you
Thanks, best tip ever.
It's easier for you since you're tall... i've been trying to push it foward like this 2:14 and my scooter won't budge
Thank you!

Can you tell me which scooters you use for training please?

i struggle to do that, my scooter is 240 pound and im 110 pound
That looks much easier, I've been using my left leg all this while
