Jungle sounds - dusk in the Borneo rainforest

- It's afternoon in Maliau Basin, deep in the rainforests of Borneo. A late Barbet sings its heart out while daytime insect calls are waning. Empress cicadas prepare for their dusk calls and can be heard towards the end of the recording. A soft mist descends on the valley as deep darkness envelops everything.
Recorded in the Borneo rainforest with Sony PCM D10, Lom MikroUsi micropohones and BubbleBee Windbubbles. I left the drop rig out in the jungle undergrowth for 24 hours in order to capture a full day-night cycle. Enjoying these videos? Feel free to support me by:

Mesmerizing! what an active and wonderful rainforest sound. Hearing the forest sound always brings back nostalgic memories. Indeed, these primal sounds have graced the rainforest for millennia, we mustn't let it go silent within our generation.
Well said, Borneo's rainforests are some of the oldest on Earth and could use a lot more protection.

Before corona attack, I spend one or two days visiting Kutai National Park in East kalimantan for healing and releasing stress after work and this sound exactly what i hear in Kutai National Park. But now all acces forbidden, i miss that moment 🥲

woww that nice . you can come to here . there was so many beautiful places that you can visit such as Kuching Waterfront , Gua Niah( Niah cave ) , Simalajau National Park,Sarawak culture village , Astana Sarawak and more . another things special about Sarawak is people in here is kind and friendly . you can say "Nama berita kitak ?" mean how are you in iban language . btw my english not good 😅
