Also, I'm considering in getting that same electric duster as yours as it is £50 and I've heard good reviews. So, here's my question about it, do I have to ground myself before I start using it to clean my pc?
You don't need to be grounded all the time, but touching not painted part of a pc case when it's still plugged in (or other grounded thing) is a good practice. Also for time of cleaning avoid touching pets, carpets, and some kinds of clothes.
They sell a bracelet with a wire clip to discharge static, I have it and it's not a bad idea to wear it when working on delicate parts like RAM and motherboards. Honestly I think that the best way to address the problem is wearing antistatic clothes and shoes.
I have the Compu Cleaner in red and haven't bothered grounding myself. I do what RGHD did in this video as a side hustle and haven't caused any issues. A couple tips though if you plan to do something similar to the video: Unplug the computer and hold down the power button for 10 seconds to discharge the electricity from the computer. Use the blower before unplugging/disconnecting any computer parts. That way you don't get dust in used RAM slots or in the CPU socket for instance. Use your hand or a plastic pen to hold fan blades to keep them from spinning. Not doing so can cause damage to the motor (I have experienced this a couple of times). Be careful when using this to dust off hard drives and CD drives. I have actually stopped using it for those and just wipe them down by hand. You can accidently force dust into places you don't want it to and cause problems. I had a working CD drive that stopped working right after I cleaned it with the Compu Cleaner, but it was fixed by opening and closing the tray. I may not be lucky next time. Lastly, the intake is at the bottom of these cleaners and there's a filter to block big stuff from coming through. Make sure you check it often and don't set it down on places like carpet or loose things until the motor is completely powered down; it helps keep it from getting clogged quickly. Anyways, the duster saves you money in the long run and is useful for many other things as well!

You can use a steamer for cleaning the 'non' electric components like the 'case' after blowing it with the blower. It kills the unwanted germs and and provides a newer look. The steam can clean the grimes form all the nooks and crannies. Since its steam it'll take about 10 secs to dry out, so no worries.

This is a good guide in general for anyone to dust out a pc, especially the cpu heatsink which is a common point of failing due to dust. How many people will not know to clean out their pc if they are experiencing random shutdowns?
This was a great, practical video - hopefully folks can get inspired to do more with older hardware. Please do more of these, and maybe, add your thoughts of the best thing to upgrade for each particular system (with before and after tests).

the pea sized thermal paste is the perfect method, I saw a video of a guy who did the pea technique and he squished a piece of clear acrylic on top of it and you could see the paste spread evenly over the whole surface except for the tiny corners on each side which doesnt really matter
More screws than your local Massage parlour? I recently got given my first Dell Optiplex, with an i5-4670S and 1X4GB RAM. The maximum non-cpu bottlenecking GPU to turn this into a legit gamer is probs going to be a 1050ti, and chuck in another 4GB stick of course. I reckon if i can get a GPU for 100-150 i could probs flog it for double that (Minus SSD & HDD). Cheers Steve, your videos are a visual representation of sad i mean happiness for me personally!

Brave man, I’d recommend leaving the cpu in the socket while your cleaning the board, real easy to bend them pins - only done it once but you’ll learn quick :)
I bought an old gaming machine a few weeks ago from Craigslist for $30..phenom II 965, 12gb ram and a 1gb 550ti. He said "it shuts off if I game too hard, so I upgraded". Get it home...the rear exhaust could barely breath and more so you couldnt even see the heatsink inder the cpu fan, a good 4-5mm of dust and pet hair. I used a cheap $1 store paint brush and finished it with canned air and a light alcohol wipe down. Love to see these types of vids because that what I spend my time doing....not benching 3000's series cards I will likely never get to buy..lol.
10:20 The paste is designed to fill the invisible gaps between the heatsink and the cpu. You should basically put on just enough that you can scrape it all off with a credit card and have an extremely thin layer covering the entire surface. That's how I learned it, anyway.
Ayy I have the same exact air blower, and yeah it is the best thing I've purchased cuz it never loses its pressure unlike compressed air cans and I don't need to be buying new cans every time anymore
Gotta love the CompuCleaners, I got myself the black one (550W vs. the white's 500W), wasn't that much more expensive, so why not. It's definitely saving you $$ in the long run, and it's also way stronger than compressed air bottles.
@RandomGaminginHD Some advice on GPU Thermal Paste application: Tldr: Spread the paste thinly and evenly on the bare die. (With a spudger or a cut piece from an old credit card or something like that) Why you might ask? Well, for crappy cards like these it wont matter 99% of the time. But let me tell you I've owned a 7970 Lighning BE in the past. Applying a pea sized amount on the bare die would spread out evenly on the die, in a circular pattern. Leaving out just tiny spaces in the corners (really only like 1mm of space): I deemed the card faulty because whenever I furmarked the thing, it would give me massive artifacts once it warmed up. I was about to give up but then I reapplied the thermal paste, spreading it out evenly to cover the full die. And boom, it worked like a charm (no Furmark artifacts anymore) - even though reported temps were the same between the two methods. Leaving me to believe that this really power-hungry card would actually overheat PARTS of the die (not where the temp sensors were positioned necessarily), leading to transistor failure/partial overheat. So from this day on, whenever I am to apply thermal paste on a bare die, I thoroughly make sure to get full coverage of the die. With IHSes you don't need to be so peculiar. Keep rocking ✌️

I loved your PC build/restorations, this looks great!!
This is a good guide in general for anyone to dust out a pc, especially the cpu heatsink which is a common point of failing due to dust. How many people will not know to clean out their pc if they are experiencing random shutdowns?
I love how his background theme is his garden , love it
I enjoy how you establish the fact that someone's trash is someone else's treasure.
This was a great, practical video - hopefully folks can get inspired to do more with older hardware. Please do more of these, and maybe, add your thoughts of the best thing to upgrade for each particular system (with before and after tests).
I like this series. If you had a programme on public access television, I would watch.
Always love seeing PCs saved from the trash heap!
I love the idea of rescuing systems from their inevitable death in a dump. Especially if said system could be used elsewhere and have a second chance of life.
I swear, whenever I try to fix something, I destroy it even more. I guess I'll just watch from the sidelines as you actually fix hardware
Thanks random gaming I'm glad to see somebody else likes fixing and bringing dead computers back to life you did a very good job there might I recommend you can use q-tips and your alcohol solution on the fan blades as well to get into the nitty gritty areas of the fans
Your audio quality is so good! Love it
the pea sized thermal paste is the perfect method, I saw a video of a guy who did the pea technique and he squished a piece of clear acrylic on top of it and you could see the paste spread evenly over the whole surface except for the tiny corners on each side which doesnt really matter
More screws than your local
Massage parlour?
I recently got given my first Dell Optiplex, with an i5-4670S and 1X4GB RAM. The maximum non-cpu bottlenecking GPU to turn this into a legit gamer is probs going to be a 1050ti, and chuck in another 4GB stick of course. I reckon if i can get a GPU for 100-150 i could probs flog it for double that (Minus SSD & HDD).
I've had a compu-cleaner for a while now and it's the single best purchase i've made for sorting PC's out!
Cheers Steve, your videos are a visual representation of sad i mean happiness for me personally!
honestly i bought one of these electrical air dusters and tbf its great, i dont wipe my personal rig down to the point of zero dust just making sure its not layered of filth, and tbf it still makes my white pc look amazing and keeps my high end specs running amazing, the best thing
this vid had a lot mire work put into it that the last one good job luv ur content cant wait for the rest of the series
i do a lot of pc cleaning on the side for people, my favorite tools are microfiber cloth, an air compressor (with a vapor trap/water trap) and Q-tips! qtips are your best friend!
Brave man, I’d recommend leaving the cpu in the socket while your cleaning the board, real easy to bend them pins - only done it once but you’ll learn quick :)
Fully agree with the comments on the CompuCleaner. Great bit of kit.
This is what i usually do for fun(not for profit 😁) But watching you do is way more fun.
To a certain Mr. Escobar! That line actually made me chuckle
I just cleaned my PC yesterday and this makes me feel so good about myself lol thankfully my room doesn’t collect alot of dust.
Oh and i use micro fiber cloths, duster, and definitely small paintbrushes and I’ve never killed a part with the brush (yet)
Another case of «I'll just sell this thing for cheap because I don't want to clean it». Nice work!
I'm surprised it can even run any games at all xD
That air duster is amazing!
Pablo's PC... nice one lol! I cringed at you spinning the front panel around on the concrete but otherwise very much enjoyed the whole thing.
Wholesome series, can't wait to see how many PCs you rescue and save. :)
This man is singlehandedly working towards a greener future. ❤️❤️

Some advice on GPU Thermal Paste application:
Tldr: Spread the paste thinly and evenly on the bare die. (With a spudger or a cut piece from an old credit card or something like that)
Why you might ask?
I use the same compu cleaner and as I live in quite a dusty environment when I have the windows open, busy main road etc , I wouldn't be without it.
Is it truly a new RGinHD video without bugging sis a bit? 11:51 Love it! Keep making vids and ill keep watching. :)
i cant blive the man has not sold out yeat i see people with less subs get 3080 from nvida the only true buget gamer love you man
Love watching tech youtubers restoring old systems!
i really appreciate these kind of troubleshooting videos
thank you

good job
Yup. Definitely buying that air blower. Thanks 👍.
This is good idea mate you should continue this series i support u
