    Fantastic review. Love the throughness and honesty throughout your reviews.
    I find myself watching reviews of yours on products I can virtually guarantee i'm not out to purchase just for educational angle.
    Thanks for the effort you out into your channel.
    A little tip that if doable would be great... The Gamers Nexus channel on all their videos have a countdown of each topic covered in the video. This feature is so neat.
    I know you have your timestamps at the beginning of the video and pinned in comments, i just think that"s a great step up.
    Thanks again, your reviews are some of the best on the whole of youtube even though you aren't yet rewarded with the numbers and credit to support.
    Thumbs up.

    Great review as always Chris! Maybe bios update could solve heating problems?

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Possibly if they increased the fan RPMs

    • @plarower
      @plarower 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Techtablets I would guess that the potential for overheating is why they did not enable the SATA port for an internal spindle drive, which would seem to block air flow and add more heat.

    The ultimate feature that would be a great edition to these mini pc is thunderbolt 3. You can add an egpu which means you will have a minimalist gaming beast.

    • @Techtablets
      @Techtablets  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You can add an eGPU to it using this th-cam.com/video/BrmHVL6zgGs/w-d-xo.html but you have to give up on that NVMe. And it's faster than a TB3 eGPU.

      Alternatively, use paid streaming services for games in the best quality up to 4K @ 60fps such as GeForceNOW !, Google Stadia, PlayKey, Drova without additional costs for an external video card

    • @ubaidullahnabi9711
      @ubaidullahnabi9711 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@pavelstogov3445 that maybe a limitation for some people as game streaming relies heavily on you have good internet. In the long run an egpu will probably be a bit cheaper (depending on the card)

    • @garrisonpulley1527
      @garrisonpulley1527 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pavelstogov3445 Lol you definitely don't get the best quality when you stream a game. You 1000% get better quality if you have the game downloaded on your hard drive.

    • @pavelstogov3445
      @pavelstogov3445 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@garrisonpulley1527 Where such confidence? To use the stream service, you need a good Internet (65 MB / s), as well as a physically close game stream SERVER at the player’s location, to reduce pings and minimal input lags

      explaining:
      tv provider in Portugal give you also access to iptv app to watch their channel, and it handy because you can see recording and go back in time etc.

    UPDATE: So far after checking all of your 2020 Mini PC reviews it would get more expensive to get a different one. Sometimes it feels like that a laptop seems to be cheaper than these Mini PC
    a better one but in the end gets expensive ... if they simply had add the connector an cable that is not expensive but makes the system fast.
    You are right that for that size a mechanical 2,5" hdd would be the best. If I buy it now then in late summer they will come with these cables and connectors for just 10$ more ...
    What other mini PC would you see in that price range cause I can get a Xeon Dell server in a bit better config for less than 275€ cause here I would need to add more ram and 512 gb storage?
    I would get 3 monitor connections but I would need 1 or 2, so it feels wrong ...
    Is there an amd based mini pc ?

Outlook, 10-15 tabs in chrome or firefox, 5 adobe pro pdf files (high graphic and min 50 page) all while playing x265 video please. i thought so. much better new AMD options out there now for cheaper.

    A bit pricey considering it's got slow memory and weak wireless. One would want to upgrade the memory and wireless right away.. placing this in another price bracket.

    IMPORTANT INFO: this Mini PC had been shipped with a WINDOWS 10 Pro licence which is far more expensive than the usual Windows 10 - if you purchase from a legal source and not the 5€ fake sellers on ebay where you never now when Microsoft will decide to shut your machine down, I mean lock down cause using an illegal licence is what such user deserves for sure.
    Machine was ordered on may 16th and arrived 30th in Germany delivered by DHL.
    Does work great so far ... but they should have spend that beast at least a second HDMI out.
    Now I had to use a USB Type C Hub - ON THE FRONT .... cause I had no mini display port cable adapter here.
