WOW...The gentleman below is correct, your side plates need to be seated the other direction. The curve of the plate will contour the natural curve of the body. You're the second person I've seen do that incorrectly, when you dawn the carrier the lightbulb will come on. I really hope you are joining the military and that's what you bought the plate carrier for and not really Airsoft matches.
Not to mention that, as he mentioned earlier in his video, he bought Lvl IV in conjunction with Lvl IIIa soft ballistic panels. In ALL ICW armor, the soft armor goes between the hard plate and the body to catch the lower velocity fragments coming out the back of the hard plate... putting the plate behind the soft armor, as he appears to have done of the side armor setup, means the soft armor will get zipped through without slowing the round down at all, and the hard plate will break it into fragments, as it is designed to do, and those fragments will proceed into his torso to do more damage to his body (transverse GSWs like that are some of the worse thoracic shots to take a single round through, never mind taking a bunch of tumbling fragments) than the single round likely would have done with no armor at all. Of course, since he bought these for milsim larping, it doesnt really matter. Although Im surprised he went with real plates for the cost factor, and the fact that ceramic armor breaks with impact, so he has to be more gentle to protect the integrity of the expensive armor he doesnt need. There are non ballistic hard plate simulator inserts to give the carrier the feel of having plates in it without the weight penalty, specifically designed for LARPing your favorite warfighters, so maybe he might want to consider those, and save these for if/when he signs up to do it for real.
the side plate pouches velcro into the side pockets on the vest, because of the way they curve, yes they're supposed to be upright.
they insert into the side pockets on the cummerbund I mean
What size plates and carrier did you get!?

Hello! Is the radio pouch included in the vest carrier?
