  • One sister became an Olympian, the other a successful doctor. Their journeys teach us about dedication, personal choices, and the delicate balance of parental guidance.

    Wrestling Phogat sisters often refer to their childhood as hell and never wanting to go back

      Yes their years of childhood were hell but it made their present and future like heaven. Otherwise they would have been a normal housewife in some house forever.

      Also u should understand what was their alternative...the family lacked financial security and the father had expertise only in wrestling...so thats the only field they could have excelled at....pv's sister is a doctor in the US...do u think a villager can have those aspirations realistically?

      @@adarsh4764heaven? For all her hard work and sweat, if you see her olympics fate, she said bye to wrestling after what she went through

    That message is for all the Indian parents who think they can apply the same parenting and methodology on every kid of their. ,one needs to listen to their children what they best possible looking in their lives.

    She didn’t snap right? She told her father No and he listened. Had he not done so, instead of being a doc, she would have been a patient!
    That said - yes , Indian parents need to understand- in fact ( just the opposite of this eg) stop pushing ur child to become engg or docs. Let them choose. Support and guide them.

    When it comes to passion one must introspect as to whether the passion path is a viable financial option or just an excuse to avoid hard work because diamonds are always made under pressure ...having said that pressure should not destroy the person...respect in society,financial stability,having a family...all these are very important post 40...if u waste youth chasing meaningless dreams then life is miserable later...I think that's what parents are scared of the most...end goal is happiness so one must chose their battles carefully.

    It's not love. It's expectation n imposing your ambitions on your children. That's bad. Your children know what they want after a certain time. Guide them through the pro n cons of every vocation / professions . I encourage parents should do your own research too. Guide them but do not impose

    Why do they pronounce Olympian like that? Like LUMP. There's no U in the word. Isn't it like OLIMPIAN.

    • @starfish9928
      @starfish9928 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You are right. It is not said as LUMP. It should be said as LIMP.

      Yeah, it's one of my pet peeve words along with how they stress the wrong syllable in 'sentence'.

    Don't wake up your children before 6 am. / children need 8 hours sleep ;
