That was such a beautiful video presentation.
It is amazing to learn that the photo that captured your mother‘s heart was not dependent upon the gear that you used to capture that image . 😊

Thank you for posting. Some incredible images. I like their looks/tones. Very laid back talk with laid back images. My wife and I visited Israel/Tel Aviv in 2018. Recognized some of the places where you shot. Pretty cool.

Thank You, thank you, thank you for a few true moments of serenity in an increasingly false and crazy world. Love the raw stile. It’s authentic, honest and true. Don’t worry too much if it’s all over the place. Whatever it is, it’s the authentic you and like you say it’s organic and that is why we’re watching. Also really loved your pictures today. Some of them were absolutely fantastic.

Wow your comment really moved me.. It means so much to know that even with my struggles in the language, I’m able to express myself authentically and you see that. And you’re so right, that’s what truly matters.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this feedback! it’s exactly what keeps me going ❤️

Bonjour !
    A bientôt !😉

Great first vlog, enjoyed watching it. You are right photography is all about the composition etc and not so much about the gear. However nice gear does maybe inspire us to go and shoot and for me I prefer shooting with a camera than a phone camera purely so that the phone software is not manipulating the image. Shooting with a camera, specially a Leica makes the whole process so much more special.

      Thank you my dear friend!
You are right, nice camera and gear can inspire us very much, and for me it's makes me take more photos even with our iPhone..
The phone will never replace my Leica of course it's so different, but it's nice to explore both ☺️
I'm really happy you enjoyed watching it, have a beautiful weekend!❤️

Hello, Gefen, trusting this finds you fit & well - Happy New Year ! Since my last comment (some months ago), I've been very busy at the hospital - you may recall that I am a Trauma Physician ? Winter is always a busy time; I digress. Your photography continues to impress, & now there is a verbal narrative to accompany your thought processes, which crystallises (at least, in part) your intentions from a photographic viewpoint. I consider you are right not to focus(sic) so much on the brand of camera you use, but rather, what one camera & a lens might achieve pictorially. You may (also) recall that I shoot almost exclusively in black & white, so your mobile phone image resonates moreso with me; the fixation with aperture, focus, & contrast absolutes in regard to exposure is overly emphasised by many camera manufacturers today - & that (in my humble opinion) creates a false representation as to what image-taking is - or rather, what it has become; I'll give you an example: In my callow youth, I took a picture of an industrial harbour scene using the 'night for day' techique (granted, this was with a film camera), & similarly to your recent experience with your Mother, my Mother asked me to print & frame it. As far as exposure values went, it wasn't the best, but my parent loved the glass-like stillness of the water, & the silhouetted fishing boats in profile, ergo, it was all about the composition, & until April of 2014 when my Mother died, it hung on her living room wall in pride of place. Now, that long ago taken image sits in my living room. My (protracted) point being: You can take a picture on a Box Brownie, or a Hasselblad - doesn't matter - all that is relevant is what you see & capture, & should that resonate with those that view your work, then great; if they don't like it, that's their loss - you still do, & that's what counts.
Naturally, I look forward to your next vlog,
    Best,
    Aindriu 🙂

      Hi Aindriu ❤️
Your comment moved me so much.. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts here. And to hear the about the photograph your mother loved, It’s such a beautiful and touching memory, and I feel deeply honored that you chose to share it with me.
Of course I remember our previous conversation here! I can only imagine how challenging this time of year must be for a trauma physician like yourself.. I hope things will calm down for you soon.
The thoughtfulness and care you put into writing this message mean so much to me. It’s not something I take for granted, and I’m incredibly grateful for it. Thank you so much my friend!☺️
      Wishing you all the best,
      Gefen

Mom story made me laugh! Yes it doesn't matter what camera you have as long as you have one. Don't forget to use Super-resolution in Lightroom for that photo, can bump it up almost 3x I think. I love Thorsten Overgaard's saying, "always wear a camera". I love the one you took with the sun, bridge and person in silhouette. Didn't feel like you were rambling at all. And kept it short which is nice. Oh and audio was great! And what country are you in? I can't figure out the language signs. Russia?
