These are ridiculously good value. I own several of these and they look and feel very high-end. They’re good smooth writers too. Quite like the big, chunky 159 too. Most of the Jinhao nibs are stamped 18KGP - even the ones that actually are! 😁👍🏻
My favourite pen. Worth $40 costs $4. Writes beautifully. Put a Jowo (Goulet) or Bock nib on it and you have the best pen ever. X450 does not post otherwise also great.
I had two x450s but gave them both away. I love the x750 (I got the "shimmering sands" for myself after I gave this one to my daughter. I'm also writing a LOT with the JinHao 159.
not sure if the body is metal, but it sure is heavy. writes smoothly even if there's no actual gold in the nib. got mine for P235.00 including shipping, online or about US $4.30.
Have an interest in this pen and thought, let me see if Doug did a review. And, of course he did! Man! I've gotta say "you've come a long way baby" in your production quality and presentation in what, 18 months ... truly amazing! Oh yeah, looks like a great pen, too!
I love this pen! It feels great in the hand and mine writes beautifully! I just ordered 4 more in different colors. I ordered mine on Aliexpress for 4 dollars. I'm amazed at the price for the quality you get. I'm interested in trying the X450 if I can find it.
I think you will like the 159, and you might like the Duke Charlie Chaplin commemorate pen. I have one in Purple and one in black! Big pen small number 5 nib.
Doug do you face the issue of ink stalling in the converter and hanging midway because of the lack of an agitator? I'm seriously in dire need of a fix. Could you guide? There are videos on adding an agitator but they all open the converter but on jinhao, I'm not sure how to open it.
Rinse the converter in some water with a drop of dish soap. That can keep the ink from hanging up. Not all converters come apart easily. Some don't at all.
Beautiful, substantial pen; smooth writer. But it's too heavy for me, doesn't post tightly and is backheavy (not balanced) when posted 😢. Not a bad pen for the price, but I have others that I like better.
Hello. I have a x750 that I got via Ali Express from China some time ago. I love to write with it but it does not post and that bugs me. I did not want to return it since I had waited so long for it. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem and can it be fixed? Thanks for reading.

Thank you, Dave! That was my first! I gave this pen to my daughter.

Great to hear!
I love this pen. I own 4 or 5 of that exact pen. I do not think it is aluminum but may be wrong

I have four 159's now!

Not that I know of.
Great starter pen, at least it was for me.
Thank you, Santa Uxia!
