Absolutely gutted hearing that Shaun passed away. Sending much love to all the team and sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace ❤
Rest in peace, Shaun Martin.
sweet funky music!!!!!💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💥✌✌✌
It‘s so nice to dive through YT networks of awesome musicians: Lettieri, Wong, Vulfpeck, Nate Smith, Scary Pockets, Fearless Flyers, Dirty Loops, Collier...
Hours of joy. And all for free.
Thanks! Happy to provide the content. If you like what you hear/see, (and want more) please support us via downloads, purchasing physical media, and coming to shows if you can!
@@mjlettieri Ha, already did Mark, from you, Cory Wong-related stuff, Snarky Puppy and others - you really know how to reinvigorate my interest in cool, funky groovy Jazz-Rock fusion-type of music 🎵!
Next may I suggest checking out Sam Greenfield - he did a song with Mark and co. and it's positivity slappin'!
@achenaemyst Every single name of your list is part of my favorite music at the moment! Mark ‘s music is amazing!
Lari Basilio
Came back to see Shaun's solo again, and again.
May he rest in peace
so schnasty so killing - feel honored to be the second woman in the comments of this video
Bass player yo!👍🏿
That’s what I said !!!
Magnetar is the perfect name for that riff. The whole band is on fire!
Thanks!
This bassist is an absolute beast. Bravo sir.
Wes Stephenson is his name
Play on Shaun🙏❤️🙏👏👏👏
I love the grounded sound of Mark’s bariton. But as a bass player seeing Wes work his ass off on the bass is a treat in itself.
I came in here to the comments section… because i had the most clear idea that he was playing a baritone..
I guess confirmed it.
cheers.. ;)
It sounds pretty pretty great.
And .. does what he might have been after.. _ sort of a different touch.
Wes is the man. He is a member of a forum i am on and is a chill dude who took the time to respond to me when I reached out about this session. @@duartepereira6416
Came here by accident. All I can say is damn dude.
Esse baixista é imoral. Toca pra caralho!!!!!
Rest In Peace Shaun Martin
Love it, that the bass is in the mix from the first note to the end, always carrying the ensemble because it’s all about the bass
The BASS player is so amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is fucking flawless. RIP Shaun
Let’s not forget Jason JT Thomas for the perfect drum sound & play in order to let everybody shine…🌞
Thank God for these young musicians. Keeping the funk alive!
We gotta have the funk in the life: lay down your Funk!
Вся команда великолепных музыкантов, БРАВО!!!
RIP Shaun - you nailed it big time
Slick and smooth............and eminently funky..........
Four minutes and fifty-four seconds ago I had no idea what a baritone guitar would sound like. And now I can’t remember what anything BUT a baritone guitar sounds like! Incredible.
Theses fellows are funky!!!!
Bass 👏🏻🙂🙂
a full package music
love from Rwanda
Fab-u-lous!
That bass is heaven.
That bass tone made me almost drive off the road its so good. My Lawd
bass lovers! great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets not forget the drummer's groove !!! Awesome !!!
Thank you my good man! And big thanks to the homey Deitchman(Adam Deitch) for laying down such a fun groove to play...
TIGHT!!!
One of the tightest bands I have ever seen live.
Violent!
Most guitars I go to the solo, with Mark I listen for the epic rhythms
3:30 Shaun Martin Absolutly KILLING IT
cant get over JT
Fav guitarist for me.
He got it all. Harmony, rythm, sounds, uniqness, writing, producing. Cmon!
I think He plays guitar the way a bassplayer would.
@@daitos1955 well he can play the hell out of the bass too.
seconded, I love a lot of things about a lot of guitarists, but this guy is just the total package
His background is in athletics, not music. He got a track scholarship from TCU as a triple jumper, and his college degree is in marketing. Where the hell did he find the time to be such an accomplished player? As a Division 1 college prospect, in high school you know he spent his time training and going to track & field meets. If you’ve never seen a div 1 college athlete compete in high school, believe me the talent jumps out and it’s obvious they are in a different universe than the “normal” kids. My point starting out was he must be a dedicated and fast learner at least in college when he had no time to work on guitar. Well, he found it somehow.
@Augusto Lopez Mark visited TIM PIERCE (search on YT), he shares some details there. At the beginning of practice, the bassist ALWAYS walked away or didn't come at all. Instead of getting angry, he started playing that part as well.
Damn my shoes got up and danced by themselves ... Best groove on the Internet
Superduper ! and Wes ...what a bass player !!
Wes is an incredible bass player- the best counterpart to Mark.
Totally agree sir!
@BassWave Wes Stephenson
Yes he is very good. But he needs to lose weight. Obesity can lead to heart disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis and many other diseases, if he is not already suffering from some.
@@nasimreza5347 I think that is his personal choice and has nothing to do with his great skills as a bass player.
@@nasimreza5347 wow you are fun at parties…. 😳😳
DAT BASS !!!!
We like it there!
This is the best thing on the internet today (for me)
Wow, what a cool composition! Just what I needed!
This music makes the world a better place 😲😀
The drummer's a machine
Yes, I am a "Drum Bot"... LOL... Thanks man!
@@JTonthedrumsexcept letting the boss wait for the final roll 😄
Here’s Mark with his trademark baritone guitar work
I stumbled upon this artist while browsing my Amazon music app. He's the truth. Wow, I'm floored. Loving this.
Funk city wow!
That vocoder keyboard guy… daaaaamn ! Talk about building pressure !!!!
Another Lettieri video that I feel compelled to rewatch immediately...over...and over and over...
That keyboard solo was incredible
from a classically trained musician - how the do they all remember the track and not scared to up the recording with a single wrong note? Amazed.
The muscle of remembering long form, complicated music is VERY similar to the muscle of being able sight read without thinking. If you do it as often as these guys do, coming from the backgrounds of playing in church, high end jazz/fusion orchestras/bands, and crazy intricate gigs, they just have incredible short term memory and recall from all the reps on that muscle. When people ask you “how do you sight read such complicated music without messing up?” It’s the same way that you’re reading my sentences without thinking about reading them, it’s just built in from repetition of learning/doing so much.
Seeing this piece played live in Paris was the most amazing music experience of my life, thank you so much for bringing some light in my world ❤❤
Went down the rabbit hole and found myself here. Awesome!
Wes on bass
Oooooooooo awesomeness’s! ❤️🍻🎶🎼☮️✅
Nice ❤
woooooowwww!!!!
This bassist
Wes is on point!
Top of the food chain !
What a f… groove, you guys! Wooooo woooo woooooo
Beautiful, incredible Musicianship 👌🏿❤️
Greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬👊🏿🖤❤️
i'm a..........................speachless. What an amazing bunch of musicians you have there Mark.
Supreme Gentlemen !
What a sound..... !!!!! 🙊🤓.... !
They’re all in one room, my neck hurts and I have a stank face while listening. Come on, quick, they’re spreading new Fun-K-oV variant!
I discovered this album recently and was playing this song in my car today at volume levels that were borderline irresponsible. It’s just too darn good.
Your band is incredible! So novel and talented
Jesus Christ!!!This is Heaven!!!
The Funky Knuckles in da house!
Super extra super
Far out Man. Far out. Nice Funk
Just when you think there is no good music anymore! Then you run into this; joyous, universal , life affirming sound by amazing talents!
Amen brother!
That was - pretty much the whole ball o' wax, right there. Doesn't get any better.
Thank you, Daniel Porter on keys . . . for supporting the Minnesota Vikings! Loved the sweatshirt. I hope y'all play the halftime show when they win the Super Bowl!
this bass is nuts
Awesomus maximus! Dayummmmmm...
Tight, funky, intricate, and articulate. Just everything about this piece is spot-on. Really stellar performance guys!
intricate my ass. classical musicians be reading the music for days to try to play the correct rhythm...
@AndreyRubtsovRU how long did it take you to learn every part of this?
Challenging piece for guitar and bass !!!Good job, everyone !! SUPER!!
Tasty 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Wow, bass player, and you run the best bass amp on the planet!
Mark , been diving into your catalog. Dang!!!!! You and the band are absolutely amazing.
Magnetar! I’m electrified 🔌❤️🥇
Great song, and hair!
once again left completely awed by the sheer amount of work and talent each and every one of the players there put into this. That skill did not come easy and I for one appreciate it
Rad Converse Mark.
Senza se e senza ma: Da paura! Daje tutta
Cool, really and very cool
My face just cracked from intensity of bass face I made listening to this
What you see here is a super group ! They just have not been found yet, all 3 are magnificent !
um, there are 5 in this band,
Immediate appeal, foot-tapping funk, interesting breaks and solos, superb tightness and arrangement. Great band.
Shaun Martin, man... 🤯
And as icing on this incredible, syncopated funk groove, he's killing it on a Danelectro guitar! It just doesn't get any better!!
A Dano baritone, at that! Zowie!
Snarky puppy... What can I say. 😍
Uh no....say Mark Lettieri. Sounds Nothing like what we do with the Pups. Mark works on writing original music, works on it for days, tons of hours by himself, pays good money for us to record it, release it, then come back replay it to film it and the best compliment you could give is to call it Snarky Puppy? 🙄🤦♂Oy Vey
That was fun!!
Awesome Groovy Funkyyyyy
