God is powerful, he uses us even if we are in connection with him or not. When you start playing the gospel part god just fell upon all of you even you haven't noticed it. His presence overflowed your playing in ways you could not express yourself if was not from his instrument, the music. Amazing how in the end everyone wants to keep playing and they exalted the name of god through singing
When I die someday, and if I discover there is indeed an afterlife, then I want it to be eternally filled with as much joy as there was in this room @8:05 onwards. This is music that transcends into other worldly realms!
This was god and his holy spirit manifesting in ways people cant still comprehend, notice how everyone became joyful, dancing clapping and so on. God is powerful and he uses us even if we are not connected with him, unconsciously they praised him with all their souls
Shaun is my favorite kind of musician. He found so much joy in music and performing in his own right, but also had just as much joy in witnessing and hyping up his fellow musicians as he stands in awe of them. This performance among others shows this perfectly!

Sencond, I was looking forward to hearing new stuff ever since their last album came out. Third, having Larnell on board is a big win for any band - he is my favorite drummer. I also am going to see them on 17th of October this year. Already saw them once in 2019, which was easily my favorite concert I have ever been to, and I have been to lots of them. THIS is what I've been missin from Snarky Puppy!! The COZINESS performances!! Where about 50 or so, people can sit in close being surrounded by the incredible greatness of each set! By the time I learned of this great band, you could only see them on a far stage because they've gotten so popular that they now fill huge venues! Rightfully so, but I Really want to be able to sit in close like when they began.
I was very fortunate, the first time I saw Snarky Puppy live I paid $10 at the door. The stage was one step off the ground, the 7 band members that day barely fit on the tiny stages, and I was about 3ft from Michael League. It blew my mind that first show, and every time I've seen them live afterward!
This track has what might be the best Dolby Atmos spatial audio mix I've ever heard over on Apple Music, so be sure to check it out! I'm super hyped for this album!
@@lolrath26 It's early days and there are far too many bad mixes being released, so I can understand a bad first impression. I'm sure things will improve as folks get over the learning curve. But after listening to Trinity, you can just tell the engineer(s) know what they're doing! A good pair of headphones is the most accessible way to listen for most people, since a real Atmos speaker setup is not trivial to setup (but well worth it if you're an audio nerd). I would avoid soundbars, TVs, and single speakers that claim to be Atmos.
@@andygrundman How did you listen to the mix? For Dolby you need an "Atmos Enabled Device", even when you want to listen with Headphones. So what device(es) do you have?
@@creativical Apple weirdly doesn't make it very obvious but any old pair of stereo headphones will work on a compatible Apple device. On iOS with non-Airpods/Beats you have to change Settings -> Music -> Dolby Atmos to Always On. Atmos mixes when streamed this way receive a special stereo binaural mixdown that only works with headphones, so if you force the setting and use something like your car stereo or bluetooth speakers it will be rough. To answer the original question, I listen with various Airpods and a 5.1.2 living room setup through a Denon AVR and Apple TV.

Chris' bass clarinet gave me chills - another level of depth. Bravo Snarky Puppy!
This is simply a masterpiece. A party, the celebration of life in the form of music. Snarky Puppy, Brazil loves you!
That ending groove starting at 5:34 is the sickest musical sequence I’ve heard in a while. Man, they nasty.
Cannot get the lead melody over that groove outta my head
Oh yeah, dang! That groove at 5:34 is a killer!
When I'm alone in the car and hear this start I always yell, "Here we go!".
Yeeeesssss🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Holy Ghost stylz Bless Your Way Abba Father👑👑👑👑 Amen
Can’t not dance to it… it’s impossible I tried
It's really about the bass clarinet on this one. Sheeeesh!
ABSOLUTELY! BASS CLARINETS UNITE!
I wish they had put this extended version at the end of the album. The album track is amazing, but after seeing this video, you know theres so much more! They could have put both versions on the album
This sounds like a great movie soundtrack. Someone should write a screenplay around this!
They themselves are 'screenplay' ! -(open your eyes)-
Seeing ‘Nard be his joyous self at the end made me tear up. He was so special to us in Dallas and I’m glad I was able to meet him the first time at one of these recording sessions.
Agree
The flash of his picture on the wall already had me on the edge, seeing him so happy at the the end....what a gift
@@blackpranther yoooo, big fan. Can’t wait to hear more from you.
@@musician069 Wow bro! Thank you🙏🏾 I’ll try not to keep you waiting too long
@@blackpranther anyone that happens to stumble onto this comment, please check Samuel Prather out, you will be so glad you did. And no I don’t personally know this young dude. Just a humble fan.
This was the first time I've heard Mike play slap bass! Also, those horn lines are insane. Beautiful song, Mark!
Playing part with his thumb but still sounded like a phat p-bass 😂👍🏻
Check out their first album for a little more! The Only Constant. He's definitely evolved, but I love whatever he does.
You should watch ‘Skate U’
Where?! I didn't hear any slap
I dont understand how people can "kind of dance" or "sort of shake their heads" to this song.... Its impossible to not lose your mind dancing to this one!
I've been playing this song for at least twice a day for the last 3 weeks everyday .... This song touches my soul! Thank you ...
I can relate! It's so awesome. What an incredible collaboration of skill and talent.
I feel exactly the same, this music is universal and speaks to the soul beyond all boundaries
music is a healer , especially surrounded by so many deeply talented people, song after song , they just take you away with their awesomeness
@@sharonaumani8827 It's God manifesting through them
@@jean-lucnicaise9804 Music is the universal language/instrument of God, and when we connect to it we become God's instruments aswell
The production on this is beyond belief! The mix is so perfect, the camera work is exceptional, the playing is flawless. We are so blessed to be able to have performances like this captured in such high quality. Bravo Snarky Puppy!
Thank you!
And thank you to Andy and his camera crew.
I second this sentiment- this sounds remarkably similar to what I heard in the headphones in Dallas. This crew of sound and camera folks are the GOAT. Thanks for making it all sound so good!
@@nichard1 thank YOU my dude for making this sound so dope! all the old Nugs shows that you mixed have been getting me thru recently too. You really are a wizard man.
The more I watch this video, the more I love it. It might be my favorite video of all time. Thank you, Mark Lettieri, for composing this tune, and thank you, Snarky Puppy, for an amazing performance.
The dynamics in Chris Bullock's sax solo are killer!
6:31 incredible solo. What a groove.
5:34 here starts the vibe that goes above the most higher clouds and stars of the sky.
WHY IS THIS JUST THE GREATEST SONG EVER WRITTEN.
That honor goes to Lingus :)
But this is definitely not far behind
When I die someday, and if I discover there is indeed an afterlife, then I want it to be eternally filled with as much joy as there was in this room @8:05 onwards. This is music that transcends into other worldly realms!
i believe we never really die , i wish i never stopped playing horns after the old school days , these people are so deep in expressing life
This was god and his holy spirit manifesting in ways people cant still comprehend, notice how everyone became joyful, dancing clapping and so on.
At the end, it look like Shaun got filled with the holy ghost! Music was just too good! 😊
I‘m reading for five minutes here, and after two I thought: OK, this is a cult. Now I‘m sure.
Trinity! I know some talented sisters that are friends with the band. Shaun is a believer so, why not be filled with the Holy Spirit!!!!
@@Yveronicasingle Amen to that sister! Ain't nothin' wrong with that.
Y’all really went to church at the end 🥹🤣✨🎶 Freaking amazing as always!!! All amazing musicians!!! And THREE DRUMMERS✨All the faves!
More people need to hear this. Absolutely mindblowing the organization and creativity that goes into these projects!
It was like a hive of musicians moving as one...YES we all can get along!
It's hard to watch Shaun Martin in this without getting misty-eyed. His participation in this moment makes it a celebration.
Coming back to this one bc the album version isn’t long enough
This makes me happy on so many levels. : )
First, Snarky Puppy is just so much better with a great video production. Seeing them having fun is a real plus to their music.
Catch them live if you ever get the chance to do so!
Sending love to all of you.
❤️ REST IN PEACE BERNARD WRIGHT ❤️
Love that moment of triumph Shaun Martin gets there at the end; pure emotion and a fitting reaction to a job done that well. Hat's off as always to the crew; can't wait for this album to drop!
Shawn was having a purely spiritual experience right here!!!! I am here for it!!!
I fell like God probably has Snarky Puppy on his play list... Such talent can only come from the creator.
Love listening to their music!
Talk about Trinity for real! That church feel at the end! 🔥🔥🔥 amazing guys!
Loved seeing the great late ‘Nard at the end. Thank you ❤️
They didn't just create a vibe, they create a atmosphere. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Snarky Puppy is an absolute MONSTER of a band. And they’re at the top of their game on this recording. So glad that this will be their next live cd/dvd release. Even more killer is the fact that there are TWO drummers, what appears to be Jason “JT” Thomas and my all time FAVORITE Snarky drummer, Larnell Lewis. FANTASTIC !!!!!
Thank you so much for the shout-out!!! We actually have THREE drummers!!! Jamison Ross is on the middle Kit and playing the main part on the vamp at the end! 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
@@LarnellLewisMusic I got to sit right behind you three on this session. Thank you so much for a magical night 🙏🏻
You killed it Larnell
Three drummers actually
I counted 3 drummers playing trap kits and 3 percussionists on this set.
I don't think I've ever had an experience like Trinity. I can't think of a song that elicits as strong emotions with the 50th listen as much as the first. I have watched/listened to this video no fewer than twice a day since I first did, and as much as 7 times/day. It just fills me up every time. 💞💕💗 I am not necessarily religious but I do know church and...'nuf said
I was just thinking when I hit the end of the video, "would it be weird to go back to the beginning and watch this a second time in sequence?"... and did it anyway.
Sounds like soundtrack to movie genre that doesnt exist yet. Amazing!
This is pure musical exploration at its best. Love Snarky Puppy always and forever.
I think this is the first time I've ever seen the band outnumber the audience.
Plz put the extended version on Spotify. Can’t get enough of the ending😍😭
Yes please!!
Wow. You can really feel the heavy times we have all been through over the past few years, from total dread to tentative hope, to the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope that doesn't sound too naive. Instant classic, love you Snarky Puppy. Let's dance!
Not naive, beautiful
I could cry, Snarky Puppy has done it again 🔥🔥🔥
Snarky puppy praise break!!!!!!!
They should have taken it to church
I was ready for it!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That whole intro section was an absolute atmosphere
Who doesn't like an opening with the bass clarinet?
Seeing how much the music moved Shawn, feeling how much it moves me, and knowing he's gone brought tears to my eyes. I hope everyone gets to experience what if feels like when everything just comes out and you lose control in the greatest way. Rest in power, Shawn. And to Snarky Puppy, I'll see you guys nest week!
9:24 those little runs underneath everything has gotta be one of my favorite parts. I wish he had kept going with it
Super-excited for this first video drop from Empire Central 😎
Amazing and courageous Mark Lettieri composition.
Any tune that starts with Bass Clarinet to set the texture is a winner in my book :-)
Can't wait for more drops from Empire Central.
On point with each comment!
RIP Shaun
This was one of the best live music experiences of my life and this song was arguably the highlight of a magical evening. Mark, this song is composed so beautifully… thank you guys for this gem while we anxiously wait for the whole album. Going to get the bikes out this weekend and jam Trinity while riding on the paths along the Trinity! 🤙
You were there in person?! 😱
Bucket list:
-See Snarky Puppy perform live
I did it yesterday
worth it man
Seen then 3 times and I want more 😊
Even more bucket list-y… be at an album recording session!
With Larnell💯💪🏾
This track has what might be the best Dolby Atmos spatial audio mix I've ever heard over on Apple Music, so be sure to check it out! I'm super hyped for this album!
Headphones or speakers? Haven't messed with Atmos much yet - sometimes it just sounded like it had more reverb to me.
@@lolrath26 you need speakers that support atmos or airpods
Damn, this groove is so good it made my yesterday's leftover store-bought gnocchi taste like the finest dish prepared by some old nonna Francesca in a beautiful Italian village. Absolute chef's kiss! 12/10
shaun martin is very expressive. He always made every performance memorable
This is a very superior masterclass of audio, video, photography, mixing, mastering and musical production
This is legitimately the best live music I've ever heard. I can't thank Snarky Puppy enough for creating it. Incredible.
