All those guys of course being influenced by Chick Corea, Jan Hammer and David Sancious from the decade before. I'd say Shaun's tune here brings to mind passages from Ferrante's tunes from the Mirage A Trois album...especially Claires Song, Elamar and Nimbus. Some of my favorite stuff ever! Great job Shaun!

I can't believe I thought I came up with the melody and chords they play here at the start. I listened to it maybe a year ago and forgot about it, and I had this melody and chords randomly come up in my mind during an online class and immediately jumped to the piano to figure out what I just heard, thinking it's my creation. The mind is so weird. I actually remembered the chord progression and melody a year later. Unbelievable. A month later I open this video and my high hopes of having composed something cool immediately shatter lmao
