Looks like there is absolutely nothing wrong with recovery speed and iron masking! KInda funny the initial panic because of just one specific scenario 'gone wrong', I guess that's a social media thing. I wish the future Legend users lots of success!
With reference to your "Iron Masking test" - Please Stop wiggling the coil ONLY over the target. This is NOT pre-loading the electronics with the iron signal. It therefore has NOTHING ferrous pre-masking in its circuitry before passing over the coin. Please make one COMPLETE PASS at a constant speed from in front of the nail - over the nail - and continue over the coin and keep going until you are past the coin. Then REMOVE THE DETECTOR and replace in front of the nail and do over again. This has been mentioned many times by many testers - and its still being done!!

The spanner wrench test had me very concerned with the Legend and here you've recovered my hopes with your test. Much more realistic as you said and you tuned the machine for the situation. I can't wait to see more from you with this machine because I had high hopes for it. Thanks for the video!

Great test. From the user manual of The LEGEND at page 7, it is stated that "The ID resolution of IDs 11-15 is different in Park versus the Field mode. You may get a different ID in each mode for targets that fall within this ID range." So, field mode is more suitable to eliminate coke and also to detect small gold or cut quarter.

I can see that no one is paying attention here when we metal detect we don't just wiggle over the top of a Target we sweep with a sweep speed slowly and a little bit faster it's not just right over the top of the target going wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle not a good test at all come from One direction from a distance sweep over the target go from the other direction sweep over the target not just pull that coil over the top of that thing and wiggle it that's not a test 👍🦀
wow wow wow that is about all I can say liked your test for me it showed there is nothing wrong with the Legend straight out of the box if you adjust things a little, I can only imagine how the Legend will be with the adjustable Iron Bias setting installed I truly believe the legend will be a fantastic detector once all the updates that I am sure Nokta/macro will come out with at some point it all ready seems to be a great detector to me by your test video your test video was the best I have seen so far
Good point about knowing the difference between masking and recovery. When EXACTLY DOES one start and the other begin? I have always had this suspicion about wether or not every “legend” or every “nox” is the same. Have a good one or a bad one. These are complex machines. What I have noticed more lately is every detector can act very differently one minute to the next as well.
The more powerful and sensitive the machine the more the user needs to understand when and what to change to adapt to the conditions to get most out the machine
Another issue as we saw with the Deus 2 having silent EMI issues when the NOX is around.......some machines being tested around people's homes may be having that same issue skewing results possible? Home wifi, cell towers etc. Who knows.

Watch when calabash gets one on the second batch, or earlier if someone wants to give him one of there's , because he hates it that much he really wants one 😂😂 , my money is that it wont perform nearly as good when he uses it 😂 recovery speed melody sounded well like close encounters lol great on coke test shows that my life is going to get a lot less stressful after using the simplex for couple of years. loving that field mode m2, good luck tomoz
What do you think of the Nokta Makro Legend compared to the XP Deus 2?? Is it as good or maybe even better than the Deus 2, or is it worse? I like the display of the Legend a lot better than the display of the Deus, it is simply larger and tidier than the display of the Deus, and much easier to read for people who wear glasses.
The deus ii i have used a fair bit now and thats gonna take some beating… but i suppose thats £1400 so unfair to compare the two…. But, i have a feeling after using the legend today it’s going to be one hell of a beast for under £700… i will be doing loads of tests and comparisons soon so make sure you keep eye out for future videos

At the moment I still have my Deus 1, which I've been using for 10 years, and I've also bought a Nokta Makro Simplex for creek and bad weather searches. I really like the larger display on the Simplex and its performance is also very good for a cheaper detector. With the new Deus I think it's good that it's finally waterproof and of course the multi-frequency, but the display with the electronics box was really bigger and better for XP, and the overview on the display is totally confusing and especially for people with glasses and poor eyesight impertinence. The new Deus 2 is good, but for this price I would have expected more, especially a decent display and not such a mini display which looks very cheap, Nokta Makro, or Minelab, and Garret can do that significantly better than XP did!
No its not….. but there may be an update to introduce iron bias feature…. To be honest im my opinion there is only a slight amount left to open up as it was performing well in todays tests… like i have said, very early days and today was my first look at the legend so lots more to learn and suss out

Not to keep the drama going but we dont swing that tight over every broken signal we get. Can you swing the coil all the way through the target both ways? Really not reality the way you're hovering over the targets.
Whats good about these new detectors is there updatable and im sure will get better and better the more feed back the companies get… nokta makro are renowned for going above and beyond to please there customers… exciting times 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Instead of just showing a really short sweep show a sweep how you do while detecting, that way we can see if the detector hits the coin close to the nail or if the iron sound cover any report from the coin. Lets be honest you do NOT detect like that while detecting, you make longer swings.
I don't know what's going on. But your video is shows a totally different outcome about what the Legend can really do. Then what Iffy Signals video did. His video is shows that it's not capable of doing. What your video just proved that it could do. I think you should reach out to Dileks at Nokta Makro. And ask her to watch you're test of the Legend.
Just need to understand what machine is doing and how to change settings to suit scenario …. Same as when detecting in the field…. Im not saying iffy got it wrong as he was in a different environment and using a spanner so results would vary but rusty iron and old coinage is what you would generally see in the ground so i used these items

Well that test has sorted out the controversy,it now looks a brilliant machine.The iron bias I take it is in this machine,it's not adjustable is it.

Why!! Its not competing with D2, maybe compare to nox even then might be a tall order..
just the depth test now going to be good be impressed if it goes deeper than the nox 800 18 inch is my max on the nox so far

I dont think a machine would hit a denaris under a large 4 inch rusty nail thats raised 1” above it and nails parallel to sweep of coil

It was already raised 1 inch… i dont think any machine would pick a small coin under 3” of large iron
