The reason you only got 6 fairy types was because they discontinued fairy types back in 2020, they literally stopped printing any fairy types and made them all into psychic types.

Jazza, the reason why the fairy types were the rarest for you is because you bought newer packs. As of a few sets ago, they completely did away with fairy types, with most of them changing to psychic types (which is why you may see Pokemon like Klefki or Xerneas being psychic). It's a similar story with the dragon types. They got rid of them a long time ago, but brought them back for I believe one special set, hence why you only have one.
As for the actual rare cards, reverse holo cards typically aren't rare, aside from a few cases like holo energies. As for how expensive Pokemon cards are, your most expensive card WASN'T Melony, but rather the Umbreon Gold Star. Melony sells for roughly $19, while Umbreon Gold Star sells for about $36. (prices in USD) I would NEVER value my cards based on eBay, and graded cards are a completely different beast all together. A WAY better choice is to use TCG Player. They have prices based on sold cards, and for cards of varying conditions too.
Not to call anyone out, but the art shown at 14:05 (I know it's an honorable mention) is traced. The Charizard in the back is a fairly famous picture of Charizard, the male trainer appears to be mostly traced from the Sun and Moon male protagonist, and the female trainer is a traced and slightly modified image of Lorelei (the outfit is exactly the same as her official artwork). I didn't check any of the other Pokemon, but I could see some being traced as well.
I think you improved the Melony card because I never liked the ENTIRE card being rainbow, as it's hard to actually see the art. You improved the clarity, and for that you get 5 stars.
I'd give 10/10 on your essay.

I’ve been out of the loop for the recent Pokémon games but by the dragon and fairy types being removed thing you said, pokemons like clefairy and requaza aren’t fairy/dragon types anymore? Or are they just not in the recent games anymore?

@@GreyGhostBreyers that specific card’s a secret rare, which can only be opened in (I think) one out of every 2 boxes worth of cards (there are 36 packs in one box). So in general, pretty rare.
Edit: You can tell if it’s a secret rare if it exceeds the card range limit on the bottom left of the card. In this case it’s 218/198

@@WellDoThat no way does MTG have more variety in art style.. they literally all follow the semi realistic fantasy artwork style like something from WoW or stuff like that. Pokemon cards come in hand drawn pencil style art, 3D renders, real life clay art, anime style art, some look like paintings, some look like digital art, some are minimalistic, some are full of detail. Theres just so much variety in pokemon. If you haven't looked into the art of the cards and the artists you really should.
@@unconscious5630 Ooyama's Pikachu speaks volumes on this, he's my favorite artist from the Pokemon TCG. Also a big fan of "Trade Please!" and Imakuni's other works, plus Tomokazu!

When i was a toddler, i thought that when Bill trainer card said "draw 2 cards", i literally did just that, as in, start drawing on the cards haha.

Barbie, Beverly Hills 90210 and others. There was one specific type of stickers I used to collect that had all kinds of Freddie-Kruger-type monsters.. they all had a stick of cheap gum inside and whenever I got a birthday present of some money I’d buy the whole store. Lol.

dude just went full nerd I love it In fact I have an addiction to pokemon card opening videos especially the ones done by big jiggly panda, i did art for many years in college through an arts & media course then concept art in a games design course and then a bit of uni before I dropped out and I still dabble... my point buddy pokemon card video, art video & highland reference so far you're already ticking 3 boxes for my interest!
If you did this enough, you could literally copy and sell your own “jazza Pokémon card packs” with copies of your cards as merch or something. 😂

Not gonna lie as a long time pokèfan... your pull is fairly accurate haha yes, for a lot of decent specialized decks it's much more efficient to buy a base deck and work around that with booster packs or just straight up ebay a specific card you want or need to perfect your deck.
I always thought Dan was supposed to be a reffarey. But these turned out great. You are such a great artist.

That’s the only thing about jazza’s contests. They’re for helpin artists out, but it’s so obviously clear all them examples and the winner 100% have devices better than the prizes even given 🤣 I’d much rather see less skilled ones but with character win and get chosen. (Coming from someone who doesn’t really draw and doesn’t enter etc haha)

Hi Jazza, I know this video doesn’t use promarkers but I’m gonna ask this anyways. I have my own promarkers but using them can be quite hard. I’ve watched tutorials and what not and learnt a few things however, when I go to created an actual drawing I always mess up, never finish it, the colours look splotchy and messy. So (sorry for the ultra long message explaining) please could you make a video on how to use promarkers properly! I always watch you use them and envy how good at using them you are and your art in general. Thanks so much if you have even read this! :)

If you could fit the description to make them playable i would definitely pay for them. And i feel that probably there would also have someone paying hundreds or thousands just for It. Just something super nice to play with friends. Except for dratini one, looks nice but it's Just a dragonite form. I prefer the normal snake.
Would love to see this kinda content with the new Digimon TCG as well, their cards have such fantastic art.
Maybe put in some Vanguard or MTG cards in there as well.
People give the GW paints some crap, but if you're only ever painting smol things they're pretty great. The colour app is pretty good too.
